We had an awesome breakfast this morning off their new menu! The cream cheese stuffed French Toast was simple and delish! The bacon scramble was a generously sized portion and excellent flavor for a hungry hiker! The "gas station diner" atmosphere is actually charming and authentic. The service was honest and friendly and faster than promised. We will come again!

This is my personal opinion and review of the RV Park5 vs 10 vs 25?!After careful consideration, I would like to bring to you several concerning issues regarding this RV Campground that may impact your stay and overall experience as it has ours. For years previous, this camp ground has been a part of the adventure and has been an overall pleasurable experience. This year, however, the stay has been unsatisfactory to say the least. The campground has displayed a pattern cleanliness and organization issues, potential trip hazards and inconvenience. Employees have been exhibiting rude behavior towards patrons, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere.Furthermore, the campground may not be suitable for dual sport bike enthusiasts due to safety concerns. Despite the need for lower speeds in certain areas, there have been employees overreacting to reasonable bike speeds, (8-11mph) causing unnecessary confrontations. Bear in mind the employees drive by blasting derogatory rap music (I recorded this) and driving well over the 5mph limit and when confronted, the response is “well I don’t have to” and “I’m allowed to go faster because I’m working.” “We don’t have a way to check speed, it’s based on the dust your tires put up.”In one particular incident, inaccurate complaints were made regarding bike speed, leading to unfounded accusations and gross mismanagement.Even though my GoPro and my bike computer was able to prove I wasn’t going more than 11mph at all during the time it was on it fell on deaf ears as the guy who lied and said he was THE MANAGER shouted at me for doing “over 25”.The ACTUAL general manager finally came up and seemed that she was trying to calm things down, it was overshadowed by the overgrown man child that was with her, not identified as having any role of authority, who did more to contribute to the problem rather than find a solution. They tried to say there were 6 complaints of my orange dual sport bike that day. But my bike hadn’t even been on site for the entire day and when it was (about 20 minutes before the incident) it went directly from the road to the rv spot on the empty side of the property and can prove I didn’t speed. Embellishment of non existent incidents shows character of the staff and establishment. The miscommunication and lack of desire for understanding demonstrated by the campground staff highlight a deeply concerning lack of professionalism and customer service.Additionally, the maintenance and safety of the RV site itself have been called into question. The substandard quality of the RV step landings poses a risk of injury to guests, with unstable and hazardous conditions. Furthermore, the inconsistent availability and cleanliness of the restroom facilities reflect a lack of attention to essential amenities for guests’ comfort and convenience.Considering these valid concerns and the importance of providing a safe and welcoming environment for all guests, I advise caution when planning your stay at this RV Campground. It’s my personal opinion that you should seek out one of the MANY different campground options nearby that could ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all.We will not be returning and our large group will do the same.… All of this over a 5/10 mph argument dirtbike and an overzealous maintenance man on a power trip. With SOOO much growth in Terlingua I can’t see this park making it with an attitude like this.

My first thought was, are we really going to have dinner in a gas station?! But, the restaurant is off to the left on its own with the ice cream. You can sit wherever you want and the guy will bring you the menus. We got there as the only people, placed our order and started to unwind when it started getting very busy. The poor guy was all alone serving all the customers and those coming in just for ice cream. Even though he was alone, service was better than most fully staffed restaurants. The soda machine is in the sitting area, so you can get your own refill, but we weren't able to do so since the server was right on top of things. Friendly service under assumed pressure is something you just don't see very much anymore. That all being said, we had burgers and fries and the kid had tenders with fries. They don't cheat you on fries, and they were delicious. The entire dinner was great. Since it was our kids birthday, we got him some ice cream. That was also a large portion and tasted great. This place seems odd in its location, but panned out great. I highly recommend stopping here when passing through the area.Parking: Parking out front and around the side. Don't block the pumps though.

Shame on your staff member for having a massive ego.My wife and friends wait 45 minutes for food to find out their order had been forgotten. Out of the kindness of our hearts we are accepting of it and the waiter says he’ll rush the order. My wife, thoroughly exhausted, swore as the waiter walked away. Not at the waiter, just frustrated in general. Which you should be after waiting almost an hour for food with no updates. Then we get kicked out by the waiter who is clearly a hot head. So yeah, not dealing with that and happy to walk out.Coffee was mediocre.

Stopped here to use the shower/restroom facility and it was super clean with very hot water and good water pressure. Sign says $2 for 6 minutes. There is no start/stop so you put quarters in the slots, push them in, and the shower turns on. Mine lasted about 8-9 minutes and then shut off automatically. Large counter top and outlets. Will definitely use this place again to shower when visiting Big Bend!

Save over a dollar a gallon by filling up in the Park at Panther Junction. It's sad that they are ripping people off tourist and locals alike. The cafe food is mediocre. Well at least the breakfast was. Our waitress (older one) was very rude. Two of us had order water and there was food in our cups.

Nice local restaurant. Staff are super friendly. Locals and tourists share ideas and tips. They offer great ice cream, but the price is a little high, in my opinion. But on a hot afternoon...delicious!Food is tasty. Our table had the large dinner salad, the Ruben, and the Chicken Fried Steak sandwich. Pizza is also very popular. The onion rings looked amazing, as did the curly fries. They have a large breakfast crowd and dinner crowd, but there is plenty of space, so no one was waiting.I would recommend this restaurant for a casual meal...has a cozy "diner" feel.Parking: Right in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Special meal options and the ice cream options are terrific.Wheelchair accessibility: Would not be a problem.

We stopped in for breakfast and gas on a day trip to the National Park. The pancakes were fluffy, bacon was cooked perfectly and the lone waitress was friendly and on her game. For tourists, keep in mind the remote location when you're looking at prices - this isn't the big city with fast food and cheap availability of everything. It just costs more out here for the same things because we're in the middle of nowhere.

Recently started my long ride through the beautiful desert west of here. Topped off with fuel and had a hearty breakfast. Actually very good breakfast but it takes effort to mess this meal up. Only unique thing for this eating place was the restroom facilities. Had to exit the building and go around to the side to take care of business. Strange but then again that was the choice.

Totally surprised! Stopped in just for coffee but saw that had freshly made breakfast sandwiches. Their sausage and egg on a biscuit was fantastic! My wife got their breakfast burrito. Spicy but tasty! Then we got two sandwiches that we ate later for lunch in Big Bend. It was all so great that we went back there for breakfast the next day. My wife got the sausage and egg on a biscuit instead but I got the exact same thing two days in a row! I'll eat here again for sure!

Always has what you need. Closes at 9 pm sharp. Friendly folks and willing to help you. Restaurant has good food. Fried green tomatoes are the best. There is a laundry area about two buildings south of the gas station. So nice and refreshing when out in the dusty camps so you can pack light.

We ate breakfast here twice. They have a small a breakfast buffet which has good food. The first day we went, there weren't too many people there and we had great service. The second, however, the place was packed and only one waitress. She was totally overwhelmed. I would suggest to them that they add a drink stop to the buffet, so if they are going to run short staffed, at least you could get your drinks...as this seemed to be a problem with most of the people sitting in the restaurant. The food was very tasty though.

In general I had a satisfactory and an affordable time here as I explored nearby Big Bend National Park. Housekeeping is a little spotty as one day I got a towel with a ragged edge, better suited for cleaning the dust off my car but clean enough to use for personal hygiene. The bed was made up every day, more or less, but my main complaint was that no coffee pack was left one night. I didn't mind the dust and motorcycle noise so much, but really missed my wake up coffee! I spoke to management about the lack of coffee and they made me whole. All said, I'll stay with them again as long as there prices don't excessively increase.

What a wonderful place to eat. After a long day of hiking in the national park, it was nice to come here and have some great food. Nothing fancy, just great service, delicious food, and really affordable. Kaele was our server and she was wonderful! Will definitely go back for more on our next trip to the area.

Got there, found a seat, looked around... wasn't expecting very much. While service was a little slow, we soon realized the wait person was Multitasking and turns out, was doing it very well; especially considering 14 of us rode up together. Surprisingly the meal we all had were very well prepared, sizeable proportions and of course hot off the grill or freshly cut greens, etc., for huge salads. Lesson learned, don't judge a book by it's cover - well worth the wait if you drop in as a large group, unannounced. Bon Appétit!
