We have been experiencing good care at this location. I love the wellness plan that includes a dental cleaning. My only critique is that appointments have been drop off only and I haven’t actually met the doctor. That’s what keeps this place from being 5 stars for me.

Have had good service here in the past, but I guess they have gotten too busy now. Mr. Kitties just needed a general checkup & vaccinations but they said they only do drop off appointments now. Dropped off at 9:30am. Still hadn't heard anything (besides an upsell call) by 3pm so I drove back up there. They hadn't done anything yet and said probably another hour & a half. At 3:30 I decided I would just come back a different day but then they were magically done 10 minutes later. Side note: if you don't like crowds and traffic, you don't want to be here around 4-5pm. So they finally got done with my 9:30am appointment at 4pm. My 10 minute drive home (from my morning appointment) took 45 minutes with traffic. But I felt so bad for Mr. Kitties - an only cat, she hadn't really left the house in 5 years; and had to sit in her tiny carrier by herself in a strange place with strange animals everywhere for almost 7 hours. She was probably terrified. Starving, she was scarfing down food & treats as soon as we got home. She's still mad at me...

They were able to get my Brindel pit in the next morning after I called for an appointment for my 9 year old brindle pit when she started to limp. She has arthritis in her back right leg & it was inflamed. I was very worried because I had lost my other dog to cancer a few months before. They were able to give her something to ease the pain & to help with the inflammation. She is a lot better today.

Always flexible with my schedule, very attentive to the animals, and I love their wellness plans that keep me from having to remember all the things!

Just awful from a corporate standpoint. The people working here at the location are relatively professional, but their plans are impossible to get out of if you move/wish to no longer use. You’re better off using a local provider.

My experience with Dr. Dutta was absolutely horrible. He wouldn’t look at me in the appointment and only would speak to my husband even though I was the one speaking to him. He got defensive when I asked questions and took everything so personal. One week before my dogs appointment with dr dutta a different vet at banfield had seen my dog and said his eye wasn’t healing like she expected it to and referred us to optho in Austin. Today during our check up with Dutta he said my dogs eye was 90% healed and i thought it was worth mentioning what the other vet said at banfield 6 days prior. He got irritated immediately and said I shouldn’t focused on the past because it doesn’t matter and asked me what it had to do with anything. I was completely shocked and told him there was nothing wrong with me mentioning that considering I was being told the opposite. He then became angry and started to stare at me. I felt completely unsafe with an unstable person standing in front of me silently staring at me and visibly angry. He turned toward my husband and asked only my husband if he had any questions and I said “I do. Will my dog have any vision loss from his eye injury?” And he got upset again at my question? I told him it was a valid question and why ask us if we have questions if he’s just gonna get angry that we ask? Never will I see that dr again. He’s unstable and has serious angry issues. Learn how to separate your frustrations from work and be professional. Highly disappointed. I actually considered switching to banfield as our primary vet care site because we’ve had great interactions with other vets but I truly never want to have an encounter with Dr. Dutta ever again.

Started our old chihuahua on the wellness plan here. The staff was incredibly sweet and helpful. Our dog was very comfortable with them. Was quick. Just added my new puppy on a plan there too.

Banfield is genuinely the best place I've ever brought my cat! Her vet and team have been so sweet and invested in her care and keeping me completely informed the whole way. Also one of the only places with easy to find cost estimations, and that genuinely is such a relief

Very friendly, caring staff. My puppy is always well-taken care of here and he never is afraid to go to the vet's because of how well he is treated. They are also very flexible with their hours and allow for early morning drop-off and late afternoon pick-ups for the busy pet-parent. The fact that it's located inside a PetSmart is also very convenient since I am able to pick up supplies while I wait. My only dissatisfaction is that they aren't able to board dogs like my previous vet's office, but this is understandably because of PetSmart's hours and for pet safety.

Dr. Dutta could seem to care less about his pet patients. My lab has a history of pododermatitis, and had multiple lesions of his back paws that were draining pus. I pointed it out multiple times to the provider who ignored the issue until I had to ask directly what he planned to do to address the issue. The doctor tried telling me that I had the wrong diagnosis even though my pet has had this issue for three years now, been diagnosed by other vets, and previous tested positive for staph. I asked if he reviewed his relevant past medical history and relevant records (not every single record but the ones specific to this issue) to which the provider told me he only had 20 minutes to see my pets (I had 2 scheduled appointments for our 2 dogs), no time to review their records (we recently moved for military and I transferred our outside records as they requested) and asked me “what I wanted to make me leave”. I asked for the pus to be tested or to be given antibiotics as the history of staph is a serious concern with the same presentation. With our other dog (schnauzer) he had been seen 2 weeks earlier, diagnosed with a bacterial skin infection, antibiotics had not completely cleared it, the vet tech agreed he needed another round of stronger antibiotics, but instead, Dr. Dutta changed his diagnosis, said it was “dog skin acne”, that we are not bathing him enough, and gave a special shampoo. How can you say one visit he needs antibiotics and the next that we don’t bathe him enough…? I waited over an hour to see this doctor, who took multiple calls while in the room examining my pets and in the middle of speaking to me. Highly disrespectful and rude. Never once complained about the wait time but apparently 20 minutes is all my two dogs, for two visits, and a $600 bill get. Ridiculous. Very unprofessional, and seems to lack knowledge on how to care for animals. We will be finding a new vet. After many wonderful experiences with other Banfield’s in other states, we will be leaving.

I work at a local pet resort, which mean I have to call and request or verify shot records, especially when the client forgot to bring them the day of!!! This is one of the only vets that are amazing and will work with local places and their clients! Love them, thank you so much!(Barking Oaks)

I'll just reviewed the Killeen location and this is a 180° turnaround, first of all the people answering the phone are a lot kinder and actually have patience to discuss things over the phone with you rather the Killeen location everything seems rushed they are too busy and don't have enough people and they are way over stressed. I was just about to cancel my plan when I finally got an appointment in Temple so driving in 30 minutes it with worth it I am due to go back for one of my dog's surgeries and expect nothing less for their service to be good as it was the pretty time . I feel people in Killeen and surrounding areas are just way too stressed out and some of them no matter where you go seen that they don't even want to be in that profession. Driving 30 minutes away to Temple or other locations you can drastically see the change in attitude of workers it's mind-boggling.

The staff saved me a visit to the vet because they advise me on how to treat a problem with my puppy. They were very friendly. It was right at quitting time also and they took the time to correctly. Advise me.

This place was incredibly rude and unprofessional with every interaction I’ve had with them. Last year when I brought my cat in for a routine exam and rabies shot, I dropped him off and within 30 minutes they called me and requested I come back to Temple to pick him up and that they were rescheduling his appointment because he was “extremely aggressive” and made me purchase and give him anxiety meds before his rescheduled appointment. And STILL charged me for the “partial” exam and meds that I didn’t ask for!The following day, I dropped my cat off and when it was time to pick him up, I’m told, “We only gave him the rabies shot and did not administer an exam due to him being too aggressive.” And I was charged AGAIN. Then the guy (who had on full arm length gloves) made me go in the back to get him out of their kennel and put him into his carrier with my bare hands while he was backed into the corner of the kennel and scared!Fast forward one year….I called to schedule his yearly exam and rabies shot. They call the day before to confirm and I say we will be there. An hour later, they call again and say, “we noticed in his chart notes that he was extremely aggressive last time. We would like to reschedule him for a different day when he can be the last appointment of the day to reduce the amount of people and animals he’s around for safety.”Their staff acted like my cat (who lives in a college girls dorm and is picked up and loved on by hundreds of girls all the time and also an EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANINAL) was a monster! I was so frustrated that I told their front desk lady that we were going somewhere else that would treat him right and we would not be back.WORST service ever. Unless you want your fur babies to be treated like a number or issue instead of a loved pet, then I suggest taking your animals LITERALLY anywhere else.

Use to use Banfield a while back and loved it. Went to inquire about pet plans and the Lady at the front desk was very rude. Waited in line to speak to her, she asked what i needed and as i began to speak she put her finger in my face and answered a phone call. Then when I could finally talk she didn't even let me finish speaking, interrupted me to tell me to go online for more information and bluntly said she did not have time to go over plans. I asked if a doctor will have time to discuss that with me if I make an appointment and she again bluntly said "no the doctors will not discuss that with you." I figured since she was just the receptionist I wouldn't base my decision to use this facility because of her unprofessional attitude so I asked if I could make an appointment. She stated appointments where 10 days out. I was fine with that but when she logged into the computer she told me the next appointment was tomorrow and they are drop off only due to Covid. She didn't try to see if there was a further out date even after I mentioned that she said it would be at least 10 days out. She acted like I was wasting her time. Will not be going back!

The nursing staff at this location is above and beyond and they really show a heart for pets and their owners! I wish I could say the same for the actual veterinary doctors who practice here though! Out of three different doctors only one seemed to retain their heart for the delicate relationship between a pet and their pet parent after medical school! If it wasn't for the exceptionally kind and caring nurses and vet techs here I probably would have given this vet a two star rating!P.S. if you want the right vet from this location go with Dr. Duta! He has a beautiful heart for pets and their owners!

Veterinarians and nurses, front facing staff are great. Corporate and phone support know nothing and are completely useless ripoff machines. Won't be doing business again because of their repeated incompetence and behavior. Again, staff that are actually at the location have always been good to great, corporate straight stole money from me.

Staff of the hospital is always professional and informative. My pet enjoys the ladies at the desk as well as Dr Ezell. Treatment of my Chihuahua is always done as I requested. The plans for wellness are reasonably priced and quite a bargain when high cost treatment shows my savings.

My cat, Bella, started having issues about 3 -4 weeks ago and started vomiting and eating in a strange manner. I brought her in and they told me the blood work, from the little they could get, was fine. I brought her in again as she got progressively worse the next week. This time, they sedated her and looked in her mouth, no issues there. This week, she stopped eating totally and lost a bunch of weight. I wanted to bring her in and get a full work up, but the vet prescribed some medications for what might be the issue instead. They didn't want me to bring her in because she gets super stressed at the vet. I understand that, but Bella is at this moment dying at another vet clinic because I thought I should get a second opinion. I'm glad I did, because the other vet says she is severely anemic, she's super stressed, dehydrated, she's got an infection, and there is a blockage in her intestine. She will need surgery, but chances are slim she will survive the surgery in her condition. He gave me the choice of trying to treat her aggressively or putting her to sleep. I told him to try to save her. The other vet is going to try to do what he can, but it doesn't look good. I am so angry at Banfield right now. If they had just seen her and given her a full work up like I wanted, she probably wouldn't be this bad.

This place is the worst place to take your pet. They charge you literally for the service that they haven't provided. they will tell you they did some lab test on your pet when your pet didn't even need it that time and later on if you need that test done because of a health condition they say you don't have more of that test left in the plan and you have to pay for it. They don't deduct the vaccination cost if your pet even hasn't received it or already received it before. you have to pay for the services that your pet never has used and each visit they will charge you for something no matter what you pay them every month.

I was very disappointed with this place. It was recommended to me by a friend. They were very helpful at first but then, I get a phone call that they double dosed him because two people weren’t communicating. (ONE OF THEM BEING A TRAINEE) Someone delegated the task of giving my dog medicine to a trainee instead of doing it themselves. All they came back saying is “Oh well, he’ll be fine. We called the company. Just watch out for vomiting and diarrhea.” I spoke to the doctor and I was very frustrated and she told me about what happened and said “We educated every one involved.” What would have happened if it weren’t just vomiting and diarrhea and it could’ve hurt him badly? I’m very disappointed with how things were handled. I won’t be going back.

Very disappointed, we signed our pup up with the membership, about $50 a month, back in April. We were receiving our pups heart worm/flea drops via mail. We moved and switched our mailing address late May. Stopped receiving stuff. Called in July asking about our pups meds and they told us to wait for his appointment in August. Verified our mailing address.. still no meds in the mail. They said in order to receive his higher dosage of flea meds we needed to bring in the stuff they “mailed”. They didn’t mail us anything!!! You can’t trade something you don’t receive. Walked in and they gave us one dose. Fast fwd to December, still nothing in the mail. I call to confront them about the situation, we are paying for services we aren’t receiving. The woman notifies me that they switched us to receive his meds by “pick-up”. This isn’t what I signed up for, so she says we can come pick up. We go to pick up and suddenly they won’t give us his meds because they want another wellness visit first AND they added a fee! We have been paying $50ish since April for services they claim to give! And everytime they are confronted it’s another excuse or a fee??? I can’t cancel because it’s a year contract and if I do cancel I still have to pay the rest of the year off! This is ridiculous! I don’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s been a huge waste of money.

I can not recommend this place. There are many hidden fees for care, even when you are on a care plan for your pets. Most of the appointments are drop off only, in which you receive a phone call if something is wrong to make a decision about additional treatments over the phone. We have had many issues with Banfields in several states, so it is the company not this individual veterinary clinic. Due to a culmination of bad events that have left such a bad taste, we have since found a much more convenient and caring clinic for our animals. We haven’t even returned to PetSmart because of their affiliation with Banfield.

I have been taking my animals here for over 10 years. So please do not think of this as a one time biased visit. The staff (minus the current vet) has always been professional and courteous. Over the past couple the veterinarian has told me one thing then done another, or said that they could do something only to say later that it was never said that they could do what was promised.I took one of my dogs in today for a drop off only to get a call an hour or so later saying that they couldn't do anything with the dog because the dog was being difficult and they couldn't draw blood. Was told on a previous visit (guess what. . . they couldn't draw blood then either) that since they couldn't draw blood they would sedate the dog to do that when they did the dental cleaning. The vet said that they never said this. It is the same vet that told me this before. They wanted to sell me meds to calm the dog down to bring back in a few days. I have had this dog and other animals on one of their wellness plans to help offset some routine vet bills. One of the plans for a cat was called in to cancel multiple times and they continued to charge me even though I did not have the cat any more. Then they wouldn't refund the money for what they charged that was not authorized. Fed up with the McDonald's franchised BS of this clinic and the way they conduct their business. I will not be going back to them or any where this practices.
