For a small town I'm glad they have this little store here. They have Western Union office and section to look for home improvement stuff and needs. Vegetables and fruit were fresh but they need to add more of a meat selection. However, some stores don't carry that much of a meat variety and this store is no different. The price on items can be high but then again, look where you're located. It's a small town and I didn't mind paying for the "convenience". I got fresh ears of corn, tomatoes, cilantro and beans. The essentials for a cook out. They have all that available and then some. Not a bad place, for last minute items.

I grew up in Taft and I can remember when this was SuperS foods. I stopped in for a visit with my grandmother and I decided to go grocery shopping and get her some snacks and essentials. When I walked in I immediately noticed how small the selections were and the prices were high on most items. The cashier and manager were friendly to me, they asked me if I had a shopping card with them and that I could’ve gotten some really good discounts on some of the items that I purchased. If you can’t get to Portland or a Sinton this store is a convenient alternative.

One of the many small. Yet convenient all in one grocery store. The employees extremely friendly. The cashier was very helpful with not only grocery list. MARY HELPED ME FIGURE OUT THE DIFFERENCE IN SCREWS. Also gave me a great recipe for that nights dinner. The store was organized. Selves stocked with a very clean and sanitized store.

BAD EXPERIENCE, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!Deer corn bags out front had a big yellow sign saying $10.99. I ordered 8 bags and it came out to over $112, I told the cashier that the price was not correct He replied that the bags were $12.99 and it was correct. I told the cashier there was a sign saying $10.99, He went to go look and then took the sign down and said He could only sell me one bag at the $10.99 price and the other 7 bags would be at the $12.99 price. As bad as I needed to buy the deer corn I said no thank you and left.

Love this place. Small hometown grocer with pretty much everything you need. Also you can purchase Stihl weed eater, chainsaw, pole saw, hardware supplies, etc.One stop shopping.

Would give this place a zero if I could. Manager (which happens to be area director's wife) is trash. She loves to argue with customers in front of everyone. Does not know 1st thing about customer service. Lowe's needs to fire Mary (aka Karen) and her son. If in the area, keep going to next town you'll find an HEB either direction.

This little store is sort of the heart of the community, at least it seems so to me. They carry about as much as they can in a limited space for both a grocery and a hardware store. Some prices are a bit high, but some are quite reasonable...on both sides. The people are friendly and the store is clean. Just watch the expiration dates on perishable items, including frozen food.

* Update. The grocery store part is no more. It is now just Ace Hardware. The nearest Lowes is in Orange Grove. Go there.Great staff and great service. The meat prices are amazing. Come shop here if you live in Sinton or Odem.

Prices for ANYTHING is outrageously expensive for ANYONES pocket book. Watermelons (for example) are always rotten. Once you purchase, take home are realize it's gone bad the store employees OR store manager WILL NOT even attempt to make sale right. Their attitude is "ALL SALES FINAL"!!! Be aware of ANY purchased product.

Last day to buy supplies before our shelter in place takes effect for nueces county and I couldn’t have picked a better place to shop with my family and avoid big crowds of people. The employees were kind and checking out was efficient, highly recommend.

Great service just wish there were bigger labels on the milk walked in tired and bought what I thought was half gallon of milk and got in the truck and went to take a drink and I got stabbed in the back I had gotten buttermilk. How is it cold but it's hot when it's in your mouth.

It's ok for the only grocery store in Taft. Prices used to be really high but they've come down. Still a bit to pricy, but beats driving all the way to Portland or Sinton for one or two items. Meats are tough and produce is second class.

Supermarket/Lowe's is so over priced taking on smaller businesses here in Taft TX. When needed I'll drop in always filling i should of just driven to Portland or Sinton for a better price. If Dollar General just adds a 1/4 more products i believe Lowe's would shut down. Price gouging and overpriced save your money go to Portland. This is my true experience every time.

Shelves were dirty, it looks like shelves haven't been dusted for awhile, then checkout- lady needed customer service attitude, she didn't seem like she wanted to be there, prices were reasonable for that area though

Well my Grandparents lived and past away in Taft .... my father was born here in Taft,..so that is where my roots begin in this small town that now I even grow more to love can't remember the street but I now there was a corner liquor store at the time not far from the house say maybe a one minute walk...I remember also watching to the train go through the the town... so I basically would spend 2to 3 weeks.for Christmas and new years every year in Taft in the early early 80's maybe late 70's can't remember..every year from California have family in Beeville, Houston, Lubbock, ..I do remember going to the store back then when you had the Dairy KING AND SUPER S... haven't been to Taft or Texas to visit my extended family from my dad's side since the early 1990's...well would love to to go back to Taft but only fate knows....hey whatever happened to shamrock gas station....p s from now Las Vegas Nv
