I was driving through this place and found this on google maps on my way. It looks so authentic inside, and they have a lot of books on bookshelf. You can sit on the couch or at the table. I got white chocolate mocha and the taste was fantastic. The taste was ten times better than these chain coffee places. They have some soft music at the background also which completes the aura. Books and coffee are great together always. If you drive through or have a chance, I highly recommend you to come here and enjoy this place. It looks perfect for studying also, I wish this place was not far from my house so I could just come here and study while enjoying the delicious coffee.

Make this a must stop during your stay in Sweetwater. The owner is a delightful person. The general vibe of this place is so relaxing and soothing. There are books to buy, and whoever wants to grab a wine or beer with their new read, can do so. There is a platform for live music too. Lovely place!!

I avoid corporate stores whenever possible. I find the independent businesses are generally a better product, and amazingly a more affordable product. This was no exception. Had a wonderful beer, a great cuppicino. The service was very positive. Took the time to answer our questions and just tell us about the town. Another must stop in a unexpected place, Sweetwater.

We were in Sweetwater for an event at the National WASP WWII Museum (at Avenger Field) and just stumbled across the Argos Brewhouse. The "Brew" in Brewhouse is coffee, excellent coffee, but the Argos is open late most nights and they have a selection of fine wines and very good beers. We spent a couple after dinner hours enjoying the beer and wine and talking with the bartender and several locals... very nice. The Argos is also an interesting book store with a small but carefully selected collection of good books, both fiction and nonfiction. If I lived in Sweetwater, the Argos would be my morning coffee shop and a preferred place for an evening beer.

Just moved to Sweetwater and we were told about this place from a cashier in Walmart. I try something different out each time and I'm NEVER disappointed. Can't wait to actually try going there during the evening time because I heard it's absolutely amazing when events and stuff are happening. Hands down the best coffee spot.

Loved the vibe in the shop. Very relaxing felt like I can sit down and visit. Drinks were AMAZING. I'd recommend the chai tea latte and the espressos were good too.

Classy old building that's been renovated into offices, shops and Argos. Very nice selection of domestic and import beers on tap and bottle. Wine selection is adequate. Live weekend music on somewhat regular basis. Great staff and very comfortable atmosphere.

What a great place in Sweetwater to relax with a coffee or beer. This is such a cool bookstore and cafe. The place is very nice and big. Plenty of books including a kids section. There's a stage for performances and then at the back end is a bar area where you can order beer, wine and coffee including hot chocolate. This is a great place to go hang out with some friends or by yourself if you wanted to read.

My one and only complaint is I wish they had the business traffic to be open all day. Right now the hours are kinda weird it’s 7:30-10 and 4-7pm. I could seriously use a coffee pick up around 1-3pm. Argos is the one and only place to get gourmet coffee in sweetwater. Typically having a monopoly on a service would lead to entitlement and bad service but that couldn’t be less true. Argos staff has always gone above and beyond. I have yet to go for an evening activity but I hear they are something really special. They have a book club, speakers, open mic nights, and one of the neatest things- a featured artist of the month. its a very welcoming and calm environment with plenty of options. If I’m feeling anti social they have nooks you can hide in, with the kids no problem they have a kid area, and they also have a bar- as in a bar to sit at and they do serve wine. I recommend the vanilla latte and a muffin. Aside from muffins the food choices are limited and I can only imagine that’s due to demand.

Another little gem in the middle of nowhere. It's like piece of Austin and the owner has taken great care to make it quite inviting. The place has coffee, beer, and wine plus a great selection of books.

As another patron of this establishment recently said to me - "Argos is very much an oasis in a land of dryness." Here you can drop by for decent coffee in the mornings or for a draft craft brew at the counter in the evenings after work. Everyone who works here has always been beyond pleasant and I've never once been accosted by other customers or the staff for not wearing a mask (which does not stop a virus btw). Along the south wall of this reasonably old building located on the west side of the town square, you will find a long and tall bank of shelves containing many new books for sale. There are several places for you to sit down with your beverage to read or converse with family and friends. This is also a place where someone can sit solo without feeling odd about it, something you can't even do at a Jason's Deli. The long stone wall (gorgeous!) on the north side of the space is often dotted with local art, also for sale (the art, not the wall). The long narrow space with its high ceilings is a genuine artifact of Sweetwater history. I believe there is an outdoor courtyard with tables and chairs through the back door, but the recent Feb 2021 man-made HAARP icy apocalyptic arctic ridiculousness prevented me from getting a good view of that. Anyone with a brain living in or near Sweetwater knows this place without a doubt. For anyone visiting Sweetwater, Argos is an absolute must. Support local businesses, stop wearing masks. Research hypoxia and Agenda 21.
