They have decent deals scattered around, but generally their prices are around double what you'd pay at HEB, or even at the dollar store in the same parking lot.The milk is extremely overpriced in particular..Not a big fan of their discount section either, I've seen product in there up to four months past it's expiration date, and dairy products or meat up to a week past theirs.I've gotten a few things of bagged frozen veggies there as well that were quite freezer burnt, and their energy drink section is usually pretty dusty, saw a can of monster there with some leak on the top of it, and it was there for a month after I saw it the first time.Had a really mixed experience with food from their deli as well, hashbrowns drowned in grease, rock hard kolaches, old tasting fried chicken, but the pork chops were amazing, like legitimately very good.The employees are friendly as well, and most of the store is in decent shape, produce prices are also not terrible.But if you absolutely need a full load of groceries, just drive to HEB in west columbia, it is not that far away, and is so much cheaper, though even their prices are starting to rise.

I give the meat market 5 stars, as they often beat HEB & Kroger in price AND quality! However, I wish they could bring it a little more with everything else.

Always friendly with excellent service whether by phone or in person. Products are fairly reasonable. Produce could improve somewhat. Veggies are left too long in the bins at times.

Growing up in the small town of Sweeny,TX for a long time Benedicts was the grocery store. Stewarts moved in the old Sears building. Well one night a freezer in Benedicts caught fire and they decided it was time to retire so Stewarts became and still is the grocery store of choice and good prices in Sweeny. You may go to the *Discount stores for some items but I'll tell you right now Stewart will beat them hands down not only on prices but the cut of beef and other meats they sell.

Great customer service! The employees are all very helpful, respectful and courteous. The prices are a bit more but I don't mind paying the difference to have a good shopping experience and to support a locally owned business. Their produce and meat departments are fantastic! We also often eat in the deli which has some of the best food in town! The breakfast is definitely my families favorite!

I find it is not as good as when I first moved here. Many shelves empty, high prizes compared to other stores. Staff turn over seems to be quick. Need to look for outdated food. I go to H.E.B. now, even though it is further away.

This is the place to work at if you are a druggie...You don't have to pass a drug test to work there... My neighbor works there and he is always on his porch smoking before he heads to work...

Bit run down but has the basic needs. The meat department is great though. Whoever makes the Boudan balls is a freaking magician though. So good!I love the staff here. Friendly and respectful.Get here early though, good stuff always send to get picked up after school let's out.Bread section really needs improvement.Update: They've improved the bread selection quite a bit AND they've fixed a lot of the lighting issues. Much brighter and cleaner feeling inside.

Stewart's food store its family owned and operated Dwayne Stewart is great person and a better friend I would recommend this grocery store anyone and everyone. The store is very clean the food court is a great place to have some down home cooking. The prices on their groceries are compatible and a lot of them are cheaper the produce I found to be very fresh and crisp the meats in the meat department were very very good. The folks that work and run thus fine grocery store are very polite and courteous. I believe all in all it is one of the finest stores I've ever shop in a small town to stop on by and give it a look

The employees are great and give excellent service! Unfortunately the cost of everything is really really high. Sometimes three times as much as H.E.B.I would definitely shop there more if they offered a better discount for families that live in Sweeney, TX.

Love paying extra for groceries? Love getting customer service from clearly underpaid and exploited workers? Then Stewart's is the place for you! Pay more at the store where they pay their employees the least! Everybody wins right?Seriously though, take the time to drive to HEB unless you're in a hurry or just having a lazy day. It's worth it.

I love this family owned and operated Grocery store. The Stewart's are absolutely amazing people who go above and beyond your expectations to keep their customers coming back. You will always be greeted by every employee you see in and out of the store. They have the best meat. In the county!!

Locally owned family grocery store. Meat market is awesome! Fresh cut steaks, ground hamburger, deli meats sliced to your thickness preference. Good variety of choices from name brand to generic brand foods. And just added a huge dollar section that is sure the help any budget. And the owners are all community minded. During hurricane Harvey, they opened the store and had fresh foods brought in as soon as roads were passable, even though their homes were flooded and had standing water in them. If there is something you want and can’t find it, just ask. More than likely they will order it for you.

This store is the best one West of the Brazos...includes Stewart's Food Store in Brazoria as well.Personalized, friendly, and GREAT customer service. Rare nowadays but not at Stewart's Food Store!I highly recommend Stewart's Food Store. Definitely much better than other grocery stores!!You've got to check this out! 😊

For that last minute item or a quick trip to the grocery store, Stewart's has you covered. And by far the best steaks in the county. Pricey but worth it.

It's Stewart's...nothing much has changed since I was a child. The point system is new. Have to get alot of points to get certain stuff but hey ....I guess u have to buy groceries anyways might as well get something in return over time.

This is a family owned and operated business. It is a local business that has been a community staple for many many years. You can generally find whatever it is you need here. The meat market is widely known, believe it or not, for having some of the best Choice Meats around. There is a Deli here which is very good. It is true that some of their prices maybe a little more expensive than elsewhere but remember if you shop here you're supporting a local business and whatever savings you would have earned you will just burn away in gas. So go on and shop at Stewart's grocery in Brazoria and Sweeny and meet lots of friendly people.

Quaint, like a step back in time. I really enjoyed walking through here and seeing everything. They aren't expensive and the restrooms are clean. If you want to experience the beauty of small town America, stop in for a few minutes

This store is awesome. The people are awesome. They kept the stores open to serve when all the others were closed during the storms .. even bringing in volunteers and local kids to help out when it was most critical. Love this small town grocery!

Check the dates on items and produce isn't always the best. Other than that..LOVE the family friendly shopping. Wish they had more organic stuff. Other than that..LOVE the family friendly shopping. They really support the community so I will continue shopping there.
