Very honest review coming from the wife of a veterinarian that no longer practices.I have 2 female Rottweilers and on this particular day it was Stella that needed help. February 2022. All of wise county was frozen and it wasn’t safe to drive. I called the office and they told me to come right in. I felt at ease when we pulled up to the property. I’ve never seen a gated veterinary practice. I immediately thought Bravo.My girls were 8 months old that very day. Weighing in over 70lbs and unlike our visit to the Decatur vet a week prior, Birdie and Stella walked in feeling safe and wagging those big beautiful tails.Now listen, over worked in veterinary medicine since I was 18. And it’s all I know. It’s what I do best and I miss running a 24 hour animal emergency hospital. I was the best at my job. I treated every patient and their person as if it were my dog or cat and my family member. I loved my job. Therefore it was never work. We sold our practice in 8/21. And I miss it every single day.That being said now you will better comprehend my review of this veterinarian and her staff.Stella had slipped on the ice the day before and there wasn’t any improvement after 24 hours rest and medication. We checked in and got tons of cuddles from the hard working ladies up front. Dr Amy Brent came to the waiting room herself to take us back to the exam room. I explained I brought Birdie (the girls are twins) for moral support and she wouldn’t be a issue. I’m watching every move and mentally checking off what I think she should do and watching her interact with my dog at the same time. Makayla the technician, my dogs didn’t question her heart for half a beat. She was covered in Rottweiler slobber and tails were wagging. The girls knew she was a safe place.After a very thorough physical examination, images and Consult with a board certified radiologist, Stella was fine…….just like her dad told me she was. But I guess that’s what he gets for retiring at 52.Since that day in February 6 months ago I am happy to say i have found the veterinarian that i trust for my babies. Birdie and Stella will be 16 months old in 2 days. We are wrapping up heat cycle 2 and if all testing clears we will breed on the next heat. Our girls are from Serbia and this would be a one time thing for each dog. It’s a good feeling when you’ve met a vet that you can tell loves her job.

We have been going here for about two years and absolutely love this practice. We have four mules and one horse. Mary, that works in the office is amazing! The vet techs are great, and the two equine veterinarians are wonderful. They are always very accommodating with appointments or picking up a medication we need. I can't say enough good things about this practice.

Brought my French bulldog in for a c-section. The vet was very kind and patient with us since this was not a planned breeding. She tested her levels and gave us a window of when to return. They answered all of our questions and concerns. By far the best vet office I've been to and is about a 45 minute drive from our house. Will return for all of our pets needs and recommend to everyone.

I’m a French bulldog and English bulldog breeder .They love our dogs every time we come 🏾💕 it’s like there family , very caring and always have wonderful customer service , makes me feel better when the vet clinic get closer to you and your fur babies , and that they do! I am going to sit here and tell you I CAN NOT LOVE THIS PLACE ENOUGH! Dr. Amy is exceptional. AS soon as you walk in the place is so clean, every room is always SO clean.. the entire staff is so loving, and kind. We travel all the way from Godley, and I would not trust anyone else with my dogs. We own Frenchies, also breed them. She is hands down the best vet.They do NOT nickel and dime you.. If you ask me their prices are absolutely affordable. She takes time always with my dogs, especially puppies and lets me ask questions, gives such thorough exams. She cares so much for the animals and it shows. Entire staff does.Blessed I finally found an amazing vet, with great staff. We moved here from NH and she reminds me so much of our vet back home.Truly blessed. Y’all are amazing.-Heather Figueroa 🖤

This vet is amazing! Small animal vet is the best! We have moved and unfortunately aren’t able to come back anymore. Literally the best vet we have had for our 7 dogs.

This Vet came highly recommended however I was very disappointed. My dogs first appointment they were running over an hour late, It was my first time there and the Vet barely talked to me. Everything was very rushed even though we waited over a hour to be seen. They took my dog back and changed her bandage gave me a very brief update and set us on our way. Second appointment was again another hour wait from scheduled appointment time. They did not allow me in the back with my dog. When they brought her back up to me the Vet did not give me any update on her healing. When I stop the vet to ask her about the wound and how it was healing she appeared aggravated that she had to answer questions. Level of actual care seemed ok. The fee for service seemed reasonable however I was not confident that the Vet care at all about my dog. There does not seem to be any respect for the clients time. While I understand that circumstances arise that threw off a schedule waiting an hour each time seems to negate setting an appointment.If you decide to use this business just be prepared for at least an hour long wait and little to no communication from the vet providing the care even if you do attempt to communicate with her. I’m relatively new to the area and have multiple animals I would have loved a place to bring them but I also have a full-time job and 4 kids. I need a vet that runs a little closer to schedule and communicates better.

This is the best place to have your frenchie taken care of. The staff is great and they really care about the animals they see. My frenchie has allergies, and they keep her itching to a minimum, and she has been doing so much better after I started bringing her here.

Got me in right away for an emergency. We just moved to the area and I'm lucky I called here. Helpful, kind, and straightforward. Not a fancy, plush, shiny vet, which I appreciate. I want to pay a reasonable price for good service, not a premium for fancy extras. This is the place for me and my animals!

I take my dogs and horses here. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I believe they could be more personable with new clients. However once we warmed up with each other it was fine. The service is great and very throughout and very reasonably priced. For this reason I will continue to come here. Keep up the great work!

Dr Brent and her Staff are absolutely the best hands down! I searched out vets for my little pack and they came highly recommended so I gave them a try. Boy am I glad I did! I travel over an hour for the piece of mind and diligence they offer. Her prices are also better than anyone I found locally. The wait time is never too long and the visit is very thorough. Dr Brent and her Staff went above and beyond for me afterhours just to make sure one of my fur babies was going to be ok and had a safe delivery. I am and will be forever thankful her office was recommended to me!

I am from NW Wyoming and bought a horse down there in Texas. He needed a vet check and travel papers for me to have him transported home to WY. The place that I had purchased my horse through lost his current check just prior to my transportation date. Mary, Stephanie and especially Dr. Nick came to my rescue in a very professional way and took care of all the tests I needed in the nick of time!If I lived down that way, they would have earned a client for life! Thank you guys, you made it possible for me to get my boy home!

Very nice staff, it’s not difficult to book appointments. I’ve brought my younger dog in for stitches and they are very fast and do what’s needed. Dr. Brent doesn’t make things more complicated than it needs to be like a lot of other vets in the Dallas area. I take both my dogs here despite the long drive and always have a great experience. Very to the point, I’m always in and out quickly. Cannot recommend enough!

We had to travel 2 1/2 hours to get here, and it was worth it. He's very good at finding answers. No one has been able to find out exactly what is wrong with our roping mare, but he is trying his best, and she seems to be getting better.

Drove 8 hours just for this place and let me tell you that it was well worth it! Exceptional is the word. Since we walked in to drop off our English bulldog until we picked her up we were very much at ease and trusted her at Double X. Very professional and very courteous. This place not only deserves a 5 star but also a recognition for their exceptional customer service and highly recommended Vets. Would definitely drive the 8 hours again just to have my baby in good hands..

Don is a top notch vet who really cares about the horse. He's very professional and takes his time to thoroughly examine and diagnose your horse. I love that him and his staff answer all your questions and inform you on everything that they are doing. He's definitely a vet you can trust.

I highly recommend Dr. Lee at Double X. I brought my yearling filly in for a lameness exam on her left hind leg. Not only did he examine both hind legs from hip to toe, but he was very thorough in doing so. The best thing about my visit was that he had a clinic full of horses and people and still made me feel like I was the only one at the clinic. I will definitely be back!

I got a pair of puppies and started taking them to Double X. The prices are reasonable, they don't have super long wait times, and are very friendly. The staff remembers my pups and greet them each time we walk in.
