They have amazing 🐠 here. Super friendly staff and with a lot of knowledge! Really recommend to come and buy everything u need here. Diversity of fishes ( and healthy) saltwater and freshwater! . Prices are insane! Most cheap than any place. Lady at reception is amazing, and the guy who help me pick my fishes was amazing too. I will be back really soon!

I’ve been coming to HAW for several years now. It’s my go to place for healthy and unique fish, as well as a wide selection of quality and premium products and foods. HAW is undoubtedly the best fish store in Houston. Everyone who works there is highly knowledgeable about both freshwater and saltwater hobbies. They are also friendly and easy to work with, always willing to spend extra time to explain everything with the utmost patience. Without their help and guidance, I would have quit this hobby long ago! I must also mention that all the fish at HAW are healthy, and they always have a great selection of the most beautiful fish, which they source from the best suppliers. I highly recommend checking them out for all your fish-related needs!

This is the best fish store in Houston. They always have a great and healthy selection of fish that most other stores don’t have! Even if they don’t have a fish you want, they will get them if you place a size-able enough order. Their stock is always taken care of and they will be very honest if you should wait a couple more days of quarantine/etc. The employees are so helpful and there’s enough space for you to walk around and browse, even if waiting!!! Everything they have is high quality, literally the CHEAPEST prices in Houston and surrounding, and their staff is so friendly and highly considerate of EVERY customer that comes in. I can not highly recommend this store enough. They have taught me almost everything I know about fish keeping and even more so than YouTube in terms of my local conditions. Shelby, Trae, Tim, and Kyle are always just the absolute best in terms of customer service and knowledge of fish. They have plenty of other knowledgeable associates and constantly growing with great talent, but threw the 2.5 years of me being here these people have always been there and shown me they have the knowledge and care to keep this hobby everlasting. In terms of knowledge, quality, and diversity I can not recommend this store enough!!! I have to end with again, they have the literal CHEAPEST by far prices in houston!!!!

Shelby who works with the freshwater fish and plants and Markel with the saltwater corals and fish are both knowledgeable and are always happy to assist and it makes the overall experience great! Glad I took the 40 minute drive from Katy. Katy had 1 aquatic store that is no better than petco. Up north, NYC & NJ has a hand full of aquatic stores. They have great prices on saltwater fish and frags. Also carry AquaIllumination led and other great products. Knows what they are talking about, unlike others like petco don't. I even brought a frag that lived unlike the Katy aquatic store where I brought 10 snailand only 2 lived. I will for now on buy any aquatic livestock from this place. Also, I brought from HAW a candy cane frag, it is doing REALLY GOOD. I can't wait to buy the other frags for my nano tank from HAW.

This place is incredible. The staff know their stuff and take the time to walk you through all of your questions. You can tell that everyone that works here actually cares about the work they do. They’re so knowledgeable, test your water for free, and have a variety of fish, coral, shrimp, snails, and live plants. The fish seem happy! The water clean! Will never buy a fish from another big box pet store again.

This is the cleanest fish store I've ever been into. It smells clean and not like fish as most pet stores do. They are kind, helpful and very knowledgeable about the fish they carry. The fish are well cared for and healthy. They can custom order whatever you need at decent prices too. They have plants and exotic fish as well. I am very impressed. 2 thumbs way up 👍🏻👍🏻

I have mixed feelings about this store. The pros are that they have the best prices in town for non-discus and they have an excellent selection of discus that are reasonably priced. They also do phone orders with free delivery and a straight 20% off all livestock in-store during the pandemic, which is pretty darn amazing considering how cheap the fish are already. They are doing a few other things like free RO water and such, which is also cool. There is a review which say their selection is poor, but this is actually not true. If you go on a Friday, their selection is pretty darn impressive and they post their stock list on Facebook, which is super helpful. The issue with selection is because their turn over is so high, come Sunday or Monday the cool specialty fish may be gone.All that sounds amazing right? What’s not to love about this place? Well, the biggest con is the customer service is really hit or miss. The last time I went there was a skinny guy with longer hair and a girl with short hair, and neither could be bothered to help or be nice to me. I was literally the only person in the store and I felt awkward and neglected. When said I wanted to pick out my fish, the guy just discouraged me from getting the fish in the first place. And when I explained that I live over an hour away, he said that he drives 45 minutes for work, which seemed rather irrelevant to the conversation. I ended up buying a few different corydoras catfish and all of them were single bagged, so by the time I got home I had a leaky mess on my hands. Honestly, a few of my fishy friends have stopped shopping here due to similar off putting interactions with certain staff members. It’s a shame because the store, otherwise, has the potential to be great.

I bought some chili rasboras and after acclimating them I added them to a well seasoned tank and that's when the carnage started. Not only did all the fish I purchased except one die, ALL my neon tetra's died, as well as half of the existing rasboras. I'm incredibly unhappy about this. The remaining fish are slowly dying as well and every morning when I wake up there's another fish I have to euthanize because it's flopping all over the tank and is visibly sick. What was a vibrant happy tank is now a sickly nightmare and the only thing I did different was add some more fish from this store. I guess I've learned my lesson and will be getting a quarantine tank and will NEVER buy fish from this store again.

The fish I have bought from here are very healthy. They have supplies. Salt and fresh water, and plants. I drive an hour to get here. Totally worth it.

Knowledgeable staff that loves the hobby and will gladly help you out with all your aquarium related questions. The store has gotten a lot better over the years with their selection of hardscape materials and plants (Only thing they can improve on is having a larger variety of fish and more fish in stock).This store is one of the most affordable aquarium stores in Houston, and they take very good care of their livestock! I highly recommend visiting the store for all your aquarium needs!

This place is so inconspicuous, it looks so tiny from the outside and when you first walk in. I was so shocked once I went further in the store. Everything is so clean and the fish look super healthy. I spoke to one of the girls and told her some issues I was having and she helped me out with some great advice and helped me pick up some fish and plants that I was looking for. 5 stars all the way around!!

The place looks great compared to when I first visited pre-covid. They still have a very nice selection of Discus, and there’s a bunch of uncommon freshwater fish that I typically don’t see in other LFS. They also have a decent collection of saltwater stuff towards the front. Highly recommended for those who are in the area. It’s located towards the very end of the all the businesses once you turn into the general area.
