I always think they are to high but the store is always clean and have friendly staff but it bugs me that they allow there checkers to have there phones at the register and they will text while checking you out. I'm old school and it's kinda rude. Phones are for after work in my opinion

This small town location in Coldspring Tx is great. Very friendly staff and for a smaller grocery store it's very well stocked. You can find just about everyone here, with the exception of maybe some specialty items. We stop in here every time we camp in the area.

Not a single person working there knew how to smile or be friendly. Asked a question to one worker about an item's location and the loom we received was as if we were the dumbest people. When we went to check out, the girl rolled her eyes (I guess because we interrupted her conversation) and never spoke a word. When I greeted her it was all she could do to mutter the words hello. The guy bagging our groceries got irritated because I thought there was too much in the bag and asked for another bag. I am sure my bag would have torn if I would have tried to walk out with it.Where is friendly customer service these days?

Always having all I need , and great service, EXCEPT THE LADY THAT WORKS THE DELI . I always stop and get corn dogs for my grandkids and have had good friendly service up until my last 3 visits where the black lady has been Rude when she greets and serves . There is no hello how many I help you , its what do you want with an unfriendly tone and no your welcome as I say thank you when leaving. I will speak to a manager the next time that I am treated with RUDE SERVICE that's not called for.

I have shopped Brookshires for the last 30 years. That changes now that I moved to Coldspring Tx. I went to Brookshires this evening and since I was tired and not feeling well, I sent my teenage daughter in to get some fried chicken in the deli. My daughter asked the Deli lady for 12 pieces mixed chicken please, The Deli lady told my 15 yr old daughter she had just put the last 12 pieces in the cooler because she was closing the Deli. My daughter grabbed the chicken and bought it and brought it to the car. Not only was it not a full chicken, it was thighs and wings only and ice cold yet they charged her for a 12 pieces hot mixed chicken. I went it to take the chicken back and explained to the young lady in the Manager office that I wasn't going to pay 16.00 for a cold chicken with only thighs and wings. I told her my 15 yr old didn't know that that was not a good deal. She said that was fine and would give me my refund. Then the "manager" Randy came up and asked why I was refunding the chicken. I again explained what had happened. He said Well, I'm not marking the chicken down that was your daughter's fault for buying it. He was very rude and I told him, wow, I wasn't asking anyone to mark it down I just wanted a refund. He wanted to argue with me that my daughter shouldn't have bought it if I wasn't going to want it. He was absolutely the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I asked the girl for the owners name so I could call them, he said Go ahead, and just started like laughing at me. I asked the girl, have I been rude or disrespectful and she said no. She gave me my refund and receipt and wrote the .phone number to the Home Office on the back of my receipt. I thanked her and Randy told me to get out of HIS store before he called the police. I just looked at him and was like FOR WHAT? Asking for a refund? I am so upset with this I have never experienced anything like this and sadly, I won't step foot in that store ever again! And I WILL tell all my friends and neighbors exactly what happened and how I was treated!

Wow talk about bottom of the barrel food and top of the line prices ,that and you can get a gallon of milk ,eggs etc cheaper at a local convience store than you can at Brookshire brothers.Look at fuel prices more expensive than any where else

Honestly the prices are higher than the DFW area but while on vacation beggars can't be choosers. We definitely appreciate the local feel and the convenience of a nearby grocer is wonderful.

One of my favorite brookshires. Always clean, organized and can have great sales. Produce has a surprisingly good selection for it being a small area. Friendly staff and they are quick to open up an extra line when needed. Small town stores are the best.

Never been to a Brookshire as they are not where I live at. First time going into one while in Texas. They have a gas station right there that I got gas from. Also bought some of the Brookshire brand Moose Tracks ice cream and it was really good and was a great price! Read that this grocery store has been around for a long time and has a lot of their own brand named items that they sell. Was happy to find this little piece of history while traveling and getting some great ice cream!

The employees are extremely kind and go out of their way to help you find what you need. I love shopping here because I feel safe and well taken care of. I don't think I have ever been to another grocery store that was so kind and had quality employees.

Cannot believe how expensive stuff was. Even the off brand canned foods were no less that 1-2 dollars . I will not go back to pay those prices. Walmart at least has canned foods less than a dollar each .

We are a small town and Brookshires is the only grocery store here. They are friendly and helpful, have a good, but small selection of things. Also has a pharmacy. Prices higher but not a Walmart for 30 miles, and you can find employees to help!

Nothing exciting about this small town grocery store. Only one in town. Surprising variety, however, with a very friendly staff. The pharmacy clerks are attentive and helpful. The deli, while small, has good fried catfish.

I am so grateful for this place. It's so convenient! The staff is always very friendly and willing to help. The deli food is pretty good, too. My only complaint (after I got used to the fried foods smell) is the produce. More often than not, I can't find any good spinach, lettuce, or tomatoes. I'm usually disappointed when I stop in to get a few quick things to make myself a salad. The expiration dates will be over a week away, and the produce is already completely bad. Other than that, I come here for most things I need. It definitely beats a trip to Livingston or Willis! =]

We are camping at lake Livingston and, of course, forgot a few things. Brookshire brothers is a great little grocery store. It's small but has everything you need at very good prices. The produce is excellent, very fresh and reasonably priced. Also they have a little shop in the store where you can buy hot plates and amazing spicy fried chicken. It's a great place to go.
