We really enjoyed our time. Waiter was immediately engaging and had a great vibe. He offered solid suggestions and even offered a good alternative when the kitchen was out of one dish. The pizza crust was fantastic. Pasta al dente. Great job to the cook team. For the six of us including drinks, just over $200. Definitely recommend.Vegetarian options: Also they have GF pasta

Feb 2023 It's so refreshing to find a restaurant with professional caring servers. Robert was a breath of fresh air. The food was superb. We enjoyed a slice of NY pizza and the best thing was the truffle mushroom campanelle. I loved the atmosphere. You could taste the love in the food here.***update December 25th 2023. Thank you for being open on Christmas! The food still tasted like love! The insalata caprese and meatballs were awesome. Pizza and pasta were all also still phenomenal.

We will not be ordering from Russo's again. We order 2 different varieties of pizza last night. The gluten-free crust was amazing. Very little cheese which is perfect for us. OVERPRICED for what you get!! The toppings were scant at best. At first they looks like plain pizzas. There was the tiniest amount of ingredients on the pizzas.Atmosphere is loud!

We all had a dish of pasta. Walked in for pizza and all fell in love with the pasta choices. Did not disappoint! I’ll definitely return to try the pizza as it looks top notch. The desserts also looked amazing but we did not try any. Someone at my table said their Italian sausage was the best she’s ever had!Only downfall is they didn’t serve any type of bread. When I go to a pasta place, I’m used to getting a breadstick with my dish.Parking: Parking lot had plenty of spaces

My family and I actually had dinner here because our first choice decided to close an hr early today. We were NOT disappointed and were glad fate decided to bring us here!! My daughter had a chicken Parmesan, I had a spicy chicken and mushroom Alfredo and my sister had the baked ziti pasta! The food was so fresh and you can taste that it was all made from scratch!!! For an appetizer we had the chicken wings and let me tell you…. I think they’re about the best wings we’ve ever had!!! We wrapped things up with a strawberry cheesecake, and it was 10/10!! Not to mention Steve our server was very attentive and accommodating! We will definitely be back here.

This place was simply awesome. Pedro our server was kind, very attentive without being overbearing. The food was fresh. We ordered the wings as appetizer, chicken parmigiana, pepperoni pizza and a kid’s Alfredo. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately I didn’t think to take pictures of the food we ordered. But when visiting here we will definitely be back. Oh and Dora I believe she was the manager, was also friendly and attentive. Good food, Great people.

We never thought we would end up at a Pizza place while we were in SPI. Of course we were mainly looking for seafood. BUT I feel we were lead here after long waits everywhere else and this place DID NOT disappoint! The food was amazing and our waitress Ayla was super sweet as well. She had lots of knowledge about the menu and was very helpful. The food was amazing and seasoned perfectly! We also noticed they sell HUGE pizzas too which I thought was really cool! They also had a great view of the sunset as well!

The ambiance, the decor is top notch. The food is phenomenal, especially if you are looking for New York style pizza. They use fresh ingredients. Our server Nadia was phenomenal, professional and courteous. Even manager came over to check on us. They care for their customers. Definitely recommend everyone if you are in town.

Steve our waiter was great!!! He offered great customer service and was able to answer questions.I had the spicy chicken and mushroom Alfredo!!! It was the best dish I have had on our trip!! Needing a different meal/break from seafood this is the place to go. Husband and son shared a pizza “ the New York village” pizza! They loved it!!

had never been here before and will DEFINITELY be coming back. our waiter, Vince, was very engaging, attentive, had a great sense of humor and was very sweet to our dog, even brought her out a bowl of water. He was very welcoming to say the least. Food came out quicker than expected, was very delicious and overall had an amazing experience here and so did our pup.

The pizza was so good! It's thin crust, sauce, and personalized toppings were made beautifully. As we waited on our order, we were served bread bites and OH MY! They were the best combination of crispy and flavorful. There was a garlic dip sauce served with it, and while I'm not a fan of it, I won't knock it for someone else to try. Larry was a great server! He was very attentive, kept my glass full with sweet tea, and he was kind when my son spilled his drink. The prices were reasonable, especially since we were on a tight vacation budget. Every time I come to South Padre Island I want to eat at Russo's! Such a delicious and great experience for my family.

Friendly staff. Ordered kids cheese pizza with the waiter three times. Kid’s food came out last and they didn’t have milk as a drink option. Table bread & dipping sauce (really good) came out after our food. My Cesar salad was slightly ‘wet’ or watery. The arugula, prosciutto & fig pizza had a fake tasting truffle oil drizzled on it - some may like this; I did not. The house wine I tried to order wasn’t available. My mother in law really enjoyed her arugula salad with shrimp.

The service is fast and friendly. On a Saturday night there were few customers with plenty of seating available. The ice tea was horrible, it was very sour. The pizza is bland, that's the best way to describe it. The pizza sauce is almost non existent, and the bit that there is is just bland. Also, the toppings are not thoroughly cooked. The sandwich was mostly bread, I regretted getting it. I do not recommend this place.

Came down from Boston and tried 3 local places in a row, it was tough comparing it to one of the other stops BUT after a fair review , apples to apples this spot won fair and square. 3 of us reviewed the pizza and this location scored a 7.2 out of 10. We are VERY tough on scoring pizzas but this is the best on the island after a fair and detailed evaluation. Sauce was great, dough/crust is not bad, cheese was good. It’s a brick overnight pie and staff was great. So overall they won as our final choice for best in South Padre

My husband and I stopped here on our way home from vacationing here in South Padre! The food is very tasty and they have a large variety of options from pasta and pizza to sandwiches and salads, plus much more! Definitely a good place to eat if you’re in the area! The staff are super friendly and it’s a fun environment as well! Our waitress, Loraine, was very curtious and was quick to refill our drinks before we had to ask, and just all around a great waitress!

We went to Russo's and had a nice dinner meal. Service was a slight problem in that we had a communication issue at the beginning. It was much better by end of dinner. The atmosphere was great and we were able to enjoy someone else's birthday experience. The employee led birthday song was awesome and lively. Not like the "they're forcing me to do this" you typically hear. From the looks of it, the birthday person was very happy. Nice evening dinner.

Friendly staff, I really appreciate a server who doesn't hover around the table and he was perfect! Thanks Cam! I loved the open kitchen concept. Calzone, chicken pesto pasta and tiramisu... all were absolutely divine and we didnt have to wait long either. I plan on coming back again!

Just finished having dinner here and everything was amazing! To start off the service was great, our server, Priscila, was so sweet, attentive and welcoming. She made sure we never ran out of our drinks and asked frequently if everything was okay. We ordered the 28’ pizza and the waiting time was way shorter than what we expected. The food was delicious and will definitely recommend to friends and family!

My experience with Russo's Pizza's Fettuccine Alfredo left much to be desired. The dish was excessively salty, served at a disappointingly cold temperature, and contained strange clumps of sauce that resembled slices of white cheese. Frankly, for the price I paid, this meal was far from satisfactory. I hope this feedback serves as a wake-up call for the need to improve the quality of your dishes.
