Flying a kite on the beach is something kids love, provided you have a cool kite. This store sells REAL kites. When you get to the beach, see the kites, then you will understand the difference and know where to go to get a kite to impress you kids.It also served as a way point. I was able to tell someone to just look for the 7' orange dragon kite.

Great little shop to browse! So friendly! I got a hot air balloon and can't wait to hang it and watch it spin! Be sure to visit them when you come to the island, you won't be disappointed in the selection of kites and spinners!

Big selection of wind related decorations. If you need a kite at SPI, don't bother getting one anywhere else. The kites are more unique and are pretty reasonably priced for a tourist town. Thanks B&S kites

Super cool store! Don't be fooled they don't just sell kites. They have wind catchers, garden flags, and much more. Prices are fair considering the kites and flags are quality items not dollar store finds. Customer service was great! I will definitely be stopping in again on my next visit to the island!

The owners are superb people. We took a trip there in 2012 and this is the best kite shop I have ever visited. I purchased a Revolution Quad kite and got a free lesson from the owner. Great people, very friendly and very helpful. Great selection of all types of kites! Hope this store is around for a long time...I will be back!Returned 4 years later and needed 300# kite line. Made a call to Bill and Susie, let them know I was driving from 6 hours away to come there on Vacation. Arrived at the store and Bill was completing my “custom specification kite line” with a smile and amazement..... he remembered me from 2012! These people are exceptional when it comes to Customer Service. Bought the kite line and naturally bought my kids their first stunt kites also! Love this place!

Wow! this place was beautiful just to walk in and see all the colorful kites! All kinds, all sizes, and all prices! The lady clerk was very friendly and helpful in explaining them. Also informed us about the South Padre Kite Festival coming up in early February..I will be visiting this store again.

The gentleman working was a man you'd want to have for a long lost uncle. He's extremely nice, polite and informative. And not just about kites and how to fly them. We asked him on the way out about places to eat, and he gave some great recommendations. But his customer service is on point, answering all your questions, giving fair prices. He quoted me an incorrect price, when he ran the item on the register, the same item was a couple of dollars more. But he kept the price he quoted me. The kites seem to be of high quality. Plus, if you have any issues with the kites, you can call him. It's an uncommon practice these days for what should be common customer service. This guy has it. I highly recommend his store for all kinds of fun, colorful, kites for people of all ages and all skill levels.

This is a great store. We went in looking for a beginners kite and had a $60 budget. The owner of the store was extremely helpful and kind. Explained, in the most comedic way possible, that every kite is for beginners and sold us an incredible $30 kite. He even gave my mother a free tiny kite so we could both fly at the same time, and instructed us with great wit how to fly them. After this we had an incredible afternoon flying both our kites. We will definitely be back.

Best customer service EVER! I purchased a kite that was above my kite understanding, lol. After i got to the beach, unpacked the kite and prepared to send it up, i ran into some confusion (not unusual for me.) I called the shop hoping for some general guidance... i got way more than "general guidance" as she suggested i send a photo or video of the kite and area of concern so she could call me back and walk me through my uncertainties. We did just that, and you know what? My amazing kite was up in the sky showing off within a minute. No complications at all and what questions i had were quickly addressed. The owners were all to happy to take this extra time to assist me after my purchase. Very impressed and i looked like a badass with my the best kite on the beach. Thank you so very much B&S!! Jen

What can I say about Bill and Susan. I met them 11 years ago during my first trip to South Padre. Aside from them being amazing business owners...Always helpful and friendly, and willing to go the extra mile...they welcomed me into their home and became a surrogate set of parents, for lack of a better term. And, while I don't get too many chances to visit, I always know that when I do, it will be just like I am coming home again. I love you both! Thanks for being a welcoming and bright light in my life. All of my favorite kites I have bought from here. Big ones to fly at the beach - makes it easy for the kids to find us. I have several of their stunt kites and added a quad line stunt kite this year. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They have a huge selection of kites, spinners and more.

Very helpful. I went in with my Revolution 2 kite that wasn't flying correctly. We bought it there years ago. The guy assembled it. Found what was wrong and sent me on my way. They've always been very helpful and sell great quality kites at every skill level.

I work just 2 blocks north of B & S Kites. Always have bright and fun looking displays on the outside of the building and for years I have been meaning to stop by to take a look. Well, today I stopped in while on an errand and oh my gosh, what a beautiful store. B & S is just packed with fun looking and beautiful kites plus everything else that will blow in the wind. I saw so many items that would make great gift giving. I will definitely return to shop. If you are on South Padre Island, you should really stop by B & S Kites. You will feel like a kid again
