Stopped in for some seafood when driving through. Always wanted to stop by this place but never had the time before. Ordered the shrimp tacos and the shrimp poboy. We were a little disappointed. The tacos did have the avocado or the huspuppies listed on the menu. The poboy was nice and crispy bun flavor was good, good sauce, but only 5 shrimp in the whole thing. The decorations were neat, and they seemed like they liked what they do. Just wasn't that impressive this time around. I'll have to do a retry next year when I come through.

The fried pickles were amazing, but the seafood was not great. The fried oysters were about the size of a nickel and they were overcooked. The pieces of fried fish looked like they cut the fillets in half and called them whole. Both steaks were ordered medium rare and came out almost well done!!! The grilled and fried shrimp were ok, but nothing special We had 5 menus and they all had different prices for the same items and most items were 3-5 dollars more!!! I really felt bad for our waitress because she was a one woman show. She was the hostess, waitress, cleaning lady, and cashier. There were several tables of customers, and only one one person to help them all.

I ordered fried oysters. The order was accepted. Shortly the waitress came back and said they only had 6 oysters I could substitute pieces of fish or shrimp for that oysters. I said okay I would take the fish. The oysters were slightly overcooked. The fish was excellent. The french fries and hush puppies were outstanding. There is plenty of parking and the place was very clean. The othercomplaint I had was that the place was too cold. Two of the members of my party went back out to the vehicle and got their coats. They gave a discount for the oysters.Parking: There was plenty of parking. The lot was well maintained.

Fried catfish was good. The staff was friendly. It seems to be a local chain of 5 locations. All the seafood looked good.

Friendly service, the food leaves alot to be desired. It looks great on the plate but lacks flavor. I ordered the ribeye medium, came out rare, sent it back, and it came out medium rare. Just attempted to eat it, had to use A1 steak sauce, which is something I don't do. Ended up eating less than half. Husband said the catfish was pretty good.

VERY friendly. Small town charm. Chicken and sausage gumbo was pretty decent. That’s a saying a lot being a very critical gumbo critic lol. Would definitely recommend.

REVISED 3/12/21 - Went just for the Chicken & Dumplings lunch special. Not impressed at all. Very few dumplings, mostly juice. Small piece of cake for dessert. Not worth the price.ORIGINAL post 3/6/21 - It is actually FISH TALES!!Great service & hospitality. Kim, the owner, and her sidekick are wonderful & very personable.Food was also GREAT!! Good prices too. We will definitely go again, and HIGHLY recommend Fish Tales!!!

It was the middle of the afternoon, so it was pretty slow. The waitress/cashier/ bus ma'am was very friendly and gave us a run down on the daily menu. We both chose the Tuesday special of Etouffe' over catfish on a bed of rice, with a salad with Ranch dressing.The wait didn't take very long before it came out. I noticed that the Ranch wasn't that out of a bottle. It had to be the kind mixed up on site, because it was very good.The main dish was very flavorful! I love their version of Etouffe' over the seemed to be blackened catfish, which was good on its own. I should have asked for an extra side of etouffe' because I love sauces, and it was very good.I will go back to try some of their other dishes. Hopefilly they wll have their deserts when I go next.

The Po’Boy “Speak Easy” was phenomenal with ample crawfish in the étouffée and abundant, crispy fried shrimp. Hushpuppies were flavorful with a slight sweetcorn aftertaste. Fried Okra was perfectly crispy. The French Fries were rather generic, so the free substitutions were a welcoming policy of which one should take advantage. The prices seemed at first glance to be on the higher side; however, the large portions made them more than worth it, so do not let them deter you. I will be back. Repeatedly.

Fish tails I dont believe this location has anything to do with the one in Galveston the menu is very different. here the food is good but for what your getting I'd say over priced is a fair statement. Compared to similar restaurants your portions are going to be the real hang up. Service seemed nice though I was picking up lunch so I cant accurately comment on the wait staff. Do to the limited options in town it's worth trying if you have the extra money to spend.

Wife ordered a seafood plater. The oysters on it were so small I thaught they were the crust that fell off. I was wrong. That was the oysters. Waitress said they were running really small. I told her oysters were sold by the gallon and the smaller the oyster the more that come to a gallon and the portion they gave us showed the cook did not care if we recieved a good mealDon't plan another meal there.

Always a delight to stop by! Their shrimp is always great, even their PoBoys, especially The Big Easy is a true treat.
