It's a pretty cool little store... mostly a convenience store, but they have an expansive meat counter and a tiny little produce corner. I had to substract a star for the fact that it always smells like fish in there. The people who work there are nice as can be. That front door needs a deep scrub down, though, y'all. The whole place might.

Love it. But my meat packs and they shrink wrap it at no additional cost. Their jalapeno cheese is OH SO GOOD!! Lunch meat, cheese, meat pack and this time Bourdain (their own) WOW!! Great meat and fresh produce at great prices.

You can't find a place with the quality of meat at a price that's more than reasonable and friendly helpful employees I personally recomend the grilling chops I usually get 2 1" thick chops for a little over $3 and if you want the best hang down to ever tickle your taste buds you best get a pound or two jalapeno and pepper Jack cheese will surely please. More than a meat market groceries beer and full service processing of all game they do it right even smoke it for you if you want. Simply the best. Weekly specials. Close to Birch Creek State Park

The people working at this market are very nice. They make suggestions, give samples, and are in no rush to get to the next customer. I make 1-2 trips to see what I can get for that night's dinner. The meat is so fresh and their summer sausage is amazing. You should make a trip to see them.

I was very impressed with this little store in the middle of nowhere. Meat market and just about everything you need. A great selection of grocery items and fresh produce.

Meat is the best I've ever eaten like old school in the 1950's.We will not buy meat from any big chain grocery store, toxic!Service is great, salt of the earth people. As stated, all the locals shop/buy at Kovasovics, that is your sign that the meat is great. Store is a step back in time, nothing fancy. I'll take that over HEB, Kroger anytime. Thank you Kovasovics! Once you try Kovasovics, you will understand!

Awesome service! I called one morning with a large ground beef order and requested they vacuum seal specific portions. They called the very same day letting me know my order was ready. After getting to the store I also got chicken, pork steaks and bacon. Everything we have eaten has been very good.

We were heading out of the state park to go to Brookshire Bros grocery for a few items, including a nice steak. Sign at Park Rd 59 and FM60 said Meat Market 2 miles that-a-way. So, here we are! Exterior is not real exciting, but step on inside to the meat counter and begin salivating! Beautiful meats! Friendly and helpful staff, too. Today, they were stuffing chicken breasts with fresh boudin! Had to have that, plus the steaks. Not big on fresh fruits, but a reasonable assortment of basic groceries here too. We’ll make this our meat shop every time we come to Somerville State Park.

Absolutely amazing. The people are so so sweet. The hamburger is some of the best in my whole life. I am very old and picky so that means a lot. Im anxous to try other things. Oh and the potatoe salad and tomatoes were so so wonderful. We have tried the t bone and country spare ribs and homemade bread. They are great. Trying to post pictures. Thank you

This is my "go-to" meat market. Another reviewer thought they were sort of pricey. That has NOT been my experience. Their meats are generally far superior to the local supermarkets, and for the most part, at the same or better price. Their site-made sausages are the best within 30 miles. Their jalapeno-cheese summer sausage is without peer in the free world.

The place stays busy for a reason. I had some of their famous link sausage for breakfast just this morning. It’s conveniently placed within minutes of Lake Somerville as well.

Country raised and produced beef. If you want steaks or sausage for the grill, they have some of the best quality meat in the area. The store also sells all the basics needed for a family meal.

Great meat mkt. Slavic. All employees seemed either aloof or overwhelmed. Things had no prices and computer was slow. I wanted prices on each item b4 I agreed to buy. They couldn't do lookups quickly.

Old time Meat Market out in the middle of nowhere. Prices a little high but good quality sausage and summer sausage. I always think it is in Frenstat, but it's not. A few miles down the road.
