My twenty-nine year old John Deere 6400 required service and Mark Muras was dispatched to service it from Shoppa’s Shiner location. Mark was just incredible! He methodically worked each of the three issues we were having with the tractor. I was prepared to replace the starter, alternator and fuel pump, but ended up needing to replace two bad relays. I have worked with Mike Lee and Tim at their Giddings location and Mark at their Shiner location and they are all top notch gentlemen!

Excellent. I'm not sure if they could tell by my exitment how much I was anxiously waiting to start farming. I still had to wait a couple days for my John Deere 1025r to be prepared for delivery, and then Saturday approached, I got the call. My John Deere was ready, however the shop closes at noon on Saturday, and I have to fly up North to Minnesota the following Monday. The delivery driver wasn't going to be availble until Monday. I was devastated, as I wasn't going to get to start farming for a whole nother week. After speaking with David about the logistics of having it delivered, or me driving it home, David offered up the GM deliver to my house personally, if he could not track down the delivery driver in time. Prior to noon, I get the call again... My tractor was ready. I snatched up my wife and kids from the parade and immediately drove home to meet the driver and bask at our soon to be new lively hood. I have all the rest of the weekend to farm, before having to go back to my fast and furious 8-5 air-conditioned job. If it wasn't for David and his steadfast commitment to Customer Service, our little farm would have had to wait.

Called today, October 27th, to set up an appointment for service on my John Deere mower. Thought I would give Shiner a chance on service. Apparently, management doesn’t know how to schedule personal for a split shift lunch. You would think, it would be easy to have someone stay through and take a later lunch break. But not in Shiner, plus put me on hold for 6 minutes to comeback and tell me everyone is at lunch. As if he didn’t know that before hand. I put him out calling, probably had to put his sandwich down to answer the phone.

2016 5045E tractor taken in for 260 hour service & problem with warning light on dash. Dealer said the instrument cluster was bad, offered reason "moisture got on contact points". Can't believe John Deere would not have addressed this problem. The manual does not say the tractor can only be used/ parked in air conditioned area. Starter bad caused by either " excess energy or low battery voltage" what???? Battery tested good & connected to trickle charger when not in use. In addition they don't return telephone calls when they say they will. I asked to talk to the Factory representative from John Deere and was told his name and number are classified. Really???Update: After talking to Daymon Drozd I will keep the (1) rating. He did not know why I called, so after explaining the problem his comment was machines break down. I asked if he was so concerned about the rating why didn't he get the work order & call me. His response was the posting that suggested I call was done buy the someone else (outside the dealership?) & he was required to respond to negitive postings by the factory. So much for John Deere.
