We came into town to go to the Shiner Bach factory, and I had the need for fried chicken.The people who work here are amazing. So nice and helpful. A big part of the community. You can see it by the way they treat each customer.I ordered the fried chicken with fries, and my spouse got the gizzard with mac and cheese. The gizzard and mac and cheese were fantastic. The chicken was juicy and fried to perfection. For me, it did have a weird taste at the end. I'm not sure what it was, just something I wasn't a fan of.I would come back just for the entertainment of the employees. I would also like to try the burger.

This is a special & local favorite of good home cooking and your favorite comfort foods. It’s been years since I have been here. There is so much variety from salad bar to fried chicken, fried catfish to hamburgers, ice cream, cheesecake, giant home made cookies, pies, cakes & the favorite poppy seed kolaches. Just drop in. Wonderful fried steak and dewberry pie! I ate here with my husband and kids. We all left happy and the kids got desserts. They have a little bit of everything even blue bell ice cream! In regards to another review mentioning the wait time, we waited less than 10 minutes for our food but we also were aware of there only being 3 employees. They also were making it fresh. With employee shortages and costs these days, I don’t expect an instant meal; and if it is instant, it probably will not be fresh. Our food was fresh and good!

This place has really went down from what it was years ago. The chicken livers I got was really good but the coleslaw portion was so tiny and small. The mashed potatoes portion was good. I give this place a 1/5 stars because when i went there for the first time, I got the chicken legs combo with like 2 rolls but they didn’t give me my order right, PLUS the chicken was EXPIRED‼️ I do NOT recommend, when I opened a chicken leg, its smell was Very strong and smelled nasty, and that’s when I knew it was expired. Please do better guys and don’t be lazy.

Don't bother if you want your food in less than a half hour wait, and probably another 10 minutes or more in line to order or get to the window in the drive thru. Every time I go it's at least 30 minutes sometimes 40-45. Nobody in any hurry to do anything. I called in an order at 4:04 pm to pick up at 5:15-20, got there and they "hadn't put it in" and it was 5:40 when they took my order a second time. I didn't get my 12 bockalo wings and fries and tea until 6:15, had to get my own tea and they didn't even put any sugar in the sweet tea pot... Service is non-existent anymore, Fridays is off my list, done with them! This happens every time I'm foolish enough to try them. DONE!

Was in town on business and stopped in for lunch. Was very surprised. I was able to get in and out during lunch service. Don’t be afraid of the line it moves fast and well worth the wait. Had an AMAZING experience. The lady at the counter Jamie was very helpful when I asked questions. She made suggestions, and I went with ALL of them. Thank God I did. The salad bar was fresh and crisp. The fried chicken sandwich was fabulous. Tender and juicy, oh and the bun soft and warm. I am a cold slaw chaser and try new ones whenever possible. The chicken fried steak sandwich was to die for. When in Shiner, you must stop by.

I ordered 25 piece chicken tenders and had to wait over 30 minutes. I got home and there were only 18 tenders. I did not have enough food to feed my family of 6. The chicken was fine, but I’m pretty sure it was frozen. I was expecting hand battered chicken tenders. I will not be returning.

It had been a while since we had stepped into Fridays. Most things have been updated, but the food is still great. This time we went in for breakfast. Wife got the cinnamon roll and they brought it out all warmed and gooey!!! She said it was one of the best she has had.I ordered a breakfast taco; but thinking $4.99 was a bit pricey until they brought it out. I bet it weighed well over a half pound (ok slight exaggeration), but it was huge. Well worth the price. I couldn’t eat the entire thing and I’m a good sized fella.Won’t be disappointed with breakfast selections. Definite return on the list.

We ate here a couple times almost a year ago.as we haven't been in this area for a while, But we came back recently and Wanted some Really good chicken we all remembered.I'm not sure what happened in a year, But the chicken was not as good as it was, dry and small, just not very good.None of us really cared for it. Probably won't go back. Hopefully they go back to whatever they WERE Doing a year ago.

I live just down the street from this place. It's clean, people are friendly and the food is good. Only issue I have is they never get my ToGo order right! Something is always forgotten. I'm not talking about custom orders that ask for non-standard things. I'm talking about forgetting appetizers, sides, cookies and drinks! If it wasn't for this constant result...I would give a 5 star...

2 stars for the deception on the spicey crispy chicken sandwich. I imagined it was comparable to most of the other fast food crispy chicken sandwiches. NOPE. Mine was cold and 'wet' tasting, slathered in Buffalo sauce and heavy on the mustard. Not crispy at all. Went straight to the trash. No mention of Buffalo sauce on the menu. Not nice Friday's 😕

I've been here before and would've rated it 3-4; not the case this time. One of our group members was specifically told by the staff member behind the counter that he "didn't recommend getting the chicken". It's a fried chicken place according to the name so that's a bit concerning. I decided to get a cheeseburger just to be safe.The burger was bland and topped with what felt like 100 pickles. So. Many. Pickles. I got potatoes wedges with it and it was also very bland. Everyone else in my group got chicken despite the staff warning. Most of them felt it was average at best.The worst part is that every one of us was having an urgent bathroom moment within 90 minutes of eating here. All 5 of us, all eating something different. Until you see a more positive review more recent than this one I would recommend you stay away.
