The buffet does not look tempting, so I ordered this brisket dish by showing waitress a photo from google review. She told me it is a hidden menu item but I can order it.The sweet potato is good, but the sausages and briskets are so-so, the brisket is too lean and has no smoke flavor.Service is good though, and I like their deco.

Driving back to San Antonio, I decided to stop for a late lunch out at Oakridge Smokehouses Restaurant. I was very impressed with the all you can eat buffet offering. There was a limited number of food items, but it was very high quality which is something I always look for. Mostly chicken, sausage, beef tips, rice, potatoes, salad, soup, and desserts. Have to say that I really enjoyed my meal. The service was great along the staff who were super friendly and welcoming. Yes, I will be returning. Highly recommended!!!

We've been to this location a few times and they have a terrific lunch buffet. It's reasonably priced and the chicken is outstanding. I dinged them a little bit on atmosphere because I said in one of the auxiliary dining areas just off of the main buffet and somebody was doing some kind of construction right behind the wall. I didn't think the timing seemed appropriate since we were there for lunch at about 11:30.

I absolutely love this mom and pop shop. It’s a German, Check, southern Texas style restaurant and buffet. Almost everything on the menu is hand made to perfected taste. The SOUR KROUT is the best taste in the nation. The pulled pork has an amazing flavor and texture. Come here, I HIGHLY a recommend this smokehouse. They also have amazing souvenirs and hand made treats.

I just ate here with my family for the first time as we were passing through. They were great. The place feels like home. We loved the atmosphere with all the little items they have for sale. The waitress was good in terms of checking on us and making sure we were good. We all ate the buffet. I got a little bit of everything and it was all pretty great. The family especially loved the chicken! We bought a few items from the store that's on the other side of the buffet room. Overall i liked the place.

Located right off I10, easy on and off!! We came from Sealy and happy we did! Breakfast buffet is on point, eggs, sausage patty, bacon, grits, oatmeal, sausage links that are really good, biscuits that are buttery tasting and fluffy, ham, French toast and toasted bread, potatoes and hashbrowns! All was delicious and hot! Coffee was good and not so bold, thats how i like it! Our waitress, Leticia, was nice and smiling! James is a fun person, enjoyed his conversation with customers! He is a gem of this place! I definitely recommend and we will be back to try the lunch buffet. Plenty parking and pretty large section restaurant! Also a lil country store in front! Pay for buffet or menu at the check out going out door! Great job ya'll!! 👍💯

I will literally lay down my life for this place! And all my years of going here every single time I go I have an amazing memory and amazing experience and the food and the people there are absolutely heavenly! This is not a place that you want to stop by when you're in your travels you need to stop by! Your life is not complete unless you have their Buffet at least once!

Headed to Galveston from New Braunfels for our cruise, got hungry and stopped here for lunch. It's a staple in this area (been around since 1969!). I've been here before in the past, but my travel companions have not. They did have an epic looking lunch buffet, but we stuck with single entrees.Chicken Fried Chicken meal 8/10 - I would give this a 8/10 stars. Crust was very good with the chicken flavored great as well. Nice and crusty on the outside, yet still tender and moist on the inside. Mashed potatoes I would give 9/10, as they were homemade and tasted excellent! The fried okra I would say was a 6/10, as they seemed like typical frozen okra. They were good, but nothing to wow you.Club Sandwich 7/10 - the usual Club Sandwich, but all of the ingredients were fresh and portioned nice.Cheeseburger 7/10 - nice juicy burger and crispy fries. Typical cheeseburger plate, but everything was tasty.The service 8/10 - our server was attentive and very friendly.The atmosphere 7/10 - overall was nice. Seemed a little run down in some areas and renovated in others. We were there at 10am on a Sunday for breakfast buffet. They have the best bacon ever! I asked the waitresses for a flour tortilla and she brought me two. They started clearing out the breakfast food about 20 min. after we sat down and put up signs to keep out of the lunch stuff. We felt rushed to finish. We went to pay and she charged me $2 extra for the tortillas. Next time I'll bring my own. Lol !

My God, it's been awhile since I have eaten here. My family from San Antonio surprised me by attending the Church I am a member of. I am so pleased and grateful that they chose to come and fellowship with us at Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church! All the food was awesome, fresh and of great quality! Today was a very spirit filled day, I am so glad about it! We had a marvelous waitress who is really on top of it, sorry I didn't get her name; it was really busy. Thank y'all so much for the great service, keep up the outstanding job!

This place is terrible, I mean, worse than any place I've eaten in the last 20 years. I can not speak for the menu food but the buffet is so nasty, stay away!! It's 17 dollars, which is not bad for a buffet nowadays, but the food is nasty. Tastes like they got leftovers from Golden Corral and took the flavor off of it. The buffet consists of dry fried chicken, canned corn, rice with flakes of broccoli in it, half mashed potatoes, some beans that have been reheated all week and some fat pieces of beef covered in grease gravy, They also have a small salad bar with terrible ranch. Just wanted to warn anyone who wondered about this place. Save your money and stomach just don't do it.

We stopped by during our Painted Churches tour, the Chamber of Commerce has a deal with them. I got the buffet and it was nothing special. Several in our group ordered from the menu and the orders were so messed up, one person ordered the cheeseburger and it came out with everything but the meat patty! Two others ordered burgers and specified PLAIN with nothing else but they came out with all the toppings. We also got 2 orders of onion rings that no one said they ordered, admittedly the onion rings were probably the best thing we had!

We have been here several times before and it was always good. Not so much this time. We arrived right before lunch so they still had the breakfast buffet. I wanted to wait until lunch which would have been about 20 minutes but we were told they only had chicken on the lunch buffet. They have had German food in the past. Breakfast was ok but the eggs and gravy were both somewhat cold.

Dropped in Oakridge Smokehouse Restaurant off of Hwy 77 returning from LeGrange. We have eaten here many times over last two decades. Mainly to eat sausage or buy in store to take home. Surprise when we entered that the receptionist did not give option to either go thru Buffet Line or dine in restaurant. Seated immediately. Waitress was quick to take our order and bring our water and coffee to the table. She was friendly and efficient. We ordered from main menu a cup of chicken noodle soup & chicken fried pork steak with two sides. Huge & delicious the steak and enormous baked potato which far exceeded the price of the meal. It was less than $20.Parking: Only one parking slot available when we arrived at 1130 am. Really unaware where they handle their overflow.

Daytrip out to Weimar & Schulenberg. Decided to go here for lunch. Got the Friday lunch buffet. Was very good and fresh. Service was good also. Both myself and wife were very pleased and look forward to going again in the future. On my first plate I had the fried chicken and was very good. Had to try the fish on second plate and had another round of the ribs and sausage. They had loaded potatoes today and very good. We had a great experience today. Thank You!

Been coming here since childhood on trips between Houston and San Antonio. For country cooking with a German flare (note I said flare, not authentic German cuisine), it is great. Good prices for big servings! There’s a buffet as well.It’s a roadside dinner with a gift shop, but you can (and should) also buy sausages, jerky, pastries, vintage novelty candies (like candy cigarettes), terrific kolaches both sweet and savory, fudge, and more. Bathrooms are always clean, and it is right off I-10. Good sized parking lot with handicap spaces.There’s nothing fancy about the place, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. Just a reasonably comfortable place that sells good stuff for a decent price that’s been in business for god knows how long because they do right.Parking: Large asphalt lot with handicapped parking availableKid-friendliness: Plenty of candies, treats, and toys to buy for the kids, so you may have to keep them reined in! No play area.

My first time visiting this restaurant. After many times passing by on the highway, I decided to pull off and check it out. While I didnt eat a meal here I did walk around and take a look at everything they had to offer.The lunch buffet looked pretty decent, with lots of vegetable choices and several home style entrees on it. A few desert items, and salad were also on one of the carts.The store had a wide selection of its, from Texas made products, wine, jerky, noodles and jarred sauces, to fresh baked sweets. Overall this would be a great stop for any traveler, native Texan or not. This might become a pit stop for me, as the selection of items available here give me new things to try for the foreseeable future. Even the soda fridge at the front of the store was packed with all sorts of craft sodas that I'd never seen before.Will definitely be returning, possibly to try the buffet, but definitely to browse the items again.

Stopped here on my way from Houston. Excellent breakfast buffet. Literally nothing to improve about it. Inexpensive too. Skip the breakfast at your hotel or whatever. This is better.Also it comes with an attached store, so you can buy little knick knacks if you like that kind of thing. Which I do...excessively.

Our first buffet since 2019.... it was perfect...good salad...the cucumber salad was the best I have ever had. Ribs, fried chicken,brisket and all the sides. Wheelchair accessible....hard to find a parking because it was just that good....no patio for our furry friends. Pics inc. Gift shop in front.
