Small town grocery store. Quick in and out. Prices a bit higher than a big city. Fair selection on products. This store could never compete with H.E.B.

The store is ok, but on 11-8-22 @ 7:30 pm. I went to get groceries, the cashier Irenee was constantly leaking her fingers before opening ever plastic bag to put my groceries, the night manager(an older woman with grey hair) came to put my bags in the cart, so I talked to her about it and told her(that was grossed) the cashier was doing that. She said ok. I left, observing from the outside window if she talked to her or the cashier stopped this gross and anti-hygiene behavior, NO, she did not, she continued like that with other customers, I don't think the manager addressed the issue with the cashier, I got so grossed out that I had to wash all the items I brought home that night.I don't want to even go there anymore ! The managers are supervisors who need to take care of the store, employees and any customer's complaints, she did not !

I love this place. I drive away from and past 2 HEB's to shop here. Great small town feel, their meat selection is 100% better quality than any other I've found, produce is fresh, and their general selection is well balanced! I feel like I fill my cart for less money here, too. We happily spend our money here, and I tell everyone I can about this place! Thanks💕

It's an OK place to stop and pick up a couple of items you may need. But alot of stuff is way overpriced. You'll spend way more than you ever intended if you just grocery shop here.

Delightful little store! The staff and management were extremely friendly, and their produce was clean, fresh and beautifully vibrant. Also, they had a wonderful Community Coffee selection (which happens to be my favorite) with varieties I can't even find in my local large Supermarket. If you're passing by Schulenburg and need some groceries... stop here.

I'm rving 2 blocks away so walked it. The store is well laid out. I needed a potluck item for 16 folks , milk and a toothbrush. The prices are higher than my hometown , but had some yogurt and cereal sale items and flower barrettes that put an extra boost in my step returning to Schulenburg RV Park. I didn't buy any produce but it looked perfect.

Only place locally where I can get Dos Equis in 7oz bottlesWally World used to sell the case at a lower price but now only carry the 12 oz bottles. I pay the Arlans price but I am not happy about it.

Prices are higer than most. The cashiers are always nice, but if you are a minority, be prepared to be followed around in the store by the manager. I came in with my scrubs on, my son came in with his football gear on. I thought that it was ridiculous. Especially when the people he should have been watching were putting things underneath their shirts and walked right out after one spoke to him a few minutes, I'm guessing as a decoy.

This is the only grocery store in Schulenburg. I think it is very good for a store with no competition. Since being bought by Arlan's Market chain, prices and freshness have improved.Prices still a little high on some items, but I don't feel taken advantage of any more. They have Bluebell on Sale a lot. I get my milk, eggs, produce, and meat here when it is on sale.

I'm satisfied with the price and variety of products and it is actually way better than Lowes Market in Weimar, TX were prices can leave you broke in a minute.

Searching for a certain item,i called ahead to see if they had it and they did. I'm from our of town so when I got there the clerk who checked over the phone was getting off from her shift but still took me to the exact spot where the item was on the shelves! Awesome customer service!!

Nice small-town grocery store, with most of the basics. The prices aren't too bad, either. I've even found a few things here for less than they're selling them at Sam Walton's place, about 20-miles down the road!

Harlan's actually changed to Arlan's about a year or so. Decent selection for small town grocery store. Be mindful to check expiration dates on milk/dairy products. Seems milk doesn't move quickly and dates are not as extended as I would like.

Needed water since we have a big storm coming. I was grateful Arlan's had a huge shipment of extra bottled water there when I got to the store. People don't realize how important their local grocery is until there is a crisis. I'm happy to know our Arlan's folks are looking out for us.

Went into store to get a money order. The lady behind the counter who was in a full blown personal conversation with some guy. Finally acknowledged me, and I asked for a money order. "Sorry sir only from 9am-2pm can you get money orders" Really!!!! Could not have taken 45 seconds away from her personal conversation and printed me a freaking money order. Ridiculous!!

You have to look at your dates on your cold or frozen food. They are bad about the out of dates on there food. And some items cost more. If you can go to H.E.B. in LaGrange once a week if you can.
