If I could give negative stars I would! I am a regular customer and I have never had such a awful experience. The cashier who stated her name was Angela also stated she was the only one working (was not wearing a name tag) only had the Self check-out register up and running. She also had her back towards the door and registers. Did Not acknowledge Any of the customers coming or going. When I asked if she could help (due to the line forming) she very rudly replies she couldn't, she was running a program on the first computer and if she stopped it it would shut down the system. She never turned around to help anyone. All she did was stood and continued organizing tags. This woman needs to work on her customer service skills majorly. I was also able to lean completely behind the counter and take a picture of the register as her back remained turned just so I could show the corporate office how un-observant there "only" employee was. Also-stating your the only employee is extremely dangerous 😳....

If I could give a 0 I so would. My 2 boys (16 &14) always want to go to this store to spend their hardearned money. I took them there after their dental appt. ( I stayed in car) they took a while. On the way home, the kids were telling me that the manager was rude to them. The cashier was with someone and it was taking a while so they decided to do the self checkout which theyve done many of times. The manager passes them and asks rudely are you gonna pay that with your money?? Uh. Yeh but my kids were nice and said yes maam we are. She takes all their items out and counts it and checks the rec. All accounted for. She then tells them next time go to the cashier orelse you guys will be escorted out! So im super highblood i call that store and asked to speak with the manager she said this is the manager. I said my sons were just in the store why in the world would you talk to them that way? I said theyve been in that store many times spending their money did they ever give you a reason to treat them like that? She said no. Ok so why would you question them and humiliate them like that? I understand kids go in and out of there maybe stealing but if my kids never gave you a reason, or even acted a fool in your store then that shouldnt have been done. Trust that my family esp my kids will never go to your store. *Hangup* this store is just so darn ugh. Management needs to take a look at the thier employees, read these reviews so yall know how they treat your customers. Your customers are the ones who pay their paycheck. If it wasnt foe the customers yall would be closed down.

(Would give this a zero if i could) This is a Horrible Store a worker pushed my mom and BANNED her all because she wanted to use her coupon very aggressive,cussing,yelling YANKING THINGS out of my mother's hands DO NOT give your money to this store unless you want to Assaulted,VERY DISSAPOINTED you can definitely do better on your Staff.

You have a register that does not work the store is nasty. And you have workers walking around with their phone in their ear having a conversation while people stand in line with items that they cannot pay for it's been over a month and the register still does not work. That is poor service and corporate needs to fix it. Then you have self checkout that does work and whoever the store rep is proceeds to shut it down instead of leaving it open so customers can pay for items make it make sense you have a machine that works and one that does it but you can't use the one that works because the closes down for the night. Poor service store is nasty

This store is the worst DG I've seen. Shelves are empty. The rug aisle is trashed with mats hanging off the shelves. The towels are thrown everywhere & aren't folded. Inventory was blocking almost every aisle. The one staff member that I did see was on her phone at the register while checking out customers. I was having issues with self check out & she had no clue how to assist me. This store needs to clean house

Been going to this store for years and nick decides to refuse service to me guess that promotion got to his ego he said I had a loaud tone to him what a piece of work I ride a motorized bike of course my voice may be a bit loud plus all the traffic I pass by and not to mention the train plus I'm deaf in one ear because of military combat what a character I mean to tell ya get a little power and let it go to your head I'm mean come on dude you work at a dollar store your dream job right well fella good luck you treat veterans horrible and you sir will fail not to mention 9 times outta 10 when I buy dip it's moldy and gross the manager allows me to open it before I buy it I mean do you won't moldy dip and nick said that's illegall um no

Better prices on some things like candy, snacks, and frozen and a little bit higher on other things but much better than a gas station and very convenient with a wide selection of necessities. The coupons and deals they run can save you even more.

DISGUSTING STORE! THIS store used to be the nicest, most well kept store and I did the majority of my shopping here and told people about the saving at DG.NOW it's so dirty and the floors haven't been mopped or cleaned in months, the aisles are filled with trash, a used surgical glove even!! I just can't even stand to walk thru a store I used to love!! Obviously the management all changed and it's enter at your own risk now. Best employees the ever had all left and it shows! Shop another DG!

This was the BEST Dollar General ever! Shelves were stocked well, organized, and a great variety of seasonal items! The woman stocking the shelves was super fast and all over the place. She still managed to be courteous in response to my small talk. This will be my go to DG from now on.

I shop here often, sometimes twice a week or more if needed. The management team is wonderful and the employees are always friendly and willing to help. The store is clean and organized-no tripping over boxes or product stacked in the aisle (like another location nearby).

Great store. Great managers, associates, organized, clean store.Now here we are 2 years later and April no longer there and you can tell.Went in this evening and there are 12 people waiting line to pay and there is only one register open, with one employee walking around doing nothing, with the guy with multi colored hair. I wish he would worry as much about doing his job as he does coloring his hair.This is not the first time I've had issues with this young man.

Everyone here is amazingly friendly and helpful. It truly feels like a neighborhood store. We had to do last minute shopping and despite the terror of working in Christmas Eve, everyone was very nice. Also you can't beat most of their prices.Edit: If I could give 10 stars I would. Throughout the entire storm and rolling blackouts, these guys stuck it out. They quickly worked out a system to make lines go faster and make sure people could come in and get their necessities. The staff here rocked it so hard and they all deserve way more recognition than a measly Google review. Thank you.

Best dollar general ever unless you are returning something. The manager was extremely rude and openly voiced her thoughts on my return. I had opened the packages on two items that didn’t work. She apparently didn’t agree with the current return policy and was forced to damage the items out “until they change the policy”. Luckily for me the current policy permitted the return despite her viewpoint. Otherwise, it’s a great store.

The staff are very friendly and they have a great variety and great prices. It's actually where I was able to get toilet paper when there wasn't any almost every where else in beginning of pandemic. They keep it pretty well stocked. It's not often they don't have what I need and it's quickly filled when that does happen. I shop here at least twice a week and the only prob I have ever had was with the blonde haired cashier and it was because I came in at 5 till closing. He said 5 mins mam and I said I'll make it super quick. He seemed a lil frustrated. But I made it back in 4 and had 20 things from all over the store lol. He wasn't even upset, he just scanned them quickly and was very efficient. We both got outta there quick that night 😂

Mostly clean & well-lit store; open until 10pm every day of the week, which is nice! Rather small, but does pack in quite a few items into such a small space & was very well organized. Also, they had snack, food, milk, juice, frozen items like hot pockets and pizzas, cold energy drinks & Starbucks drinks in a little fridge. Plus, they accept EBT/SNAP! I even saw baby formula and cigarettes there; this little store has a little bit of everything!

I'm so disappointed in my experience at this location! This was my first visit and my first time using my electronic coupons via the DG app. I had several coupons included 5.00 off when you spend 25.00 or more. I approached the check out counter and told the cashier that I will be using electronic coupons. After he finishes ringing up all my items, he asked me to sign in on the keypad, however the keypad was blank. He said the keypad had went down and it happens often, and he would reset it. I asked if he would have to ring up all my items and he said no.As we waited for the reboot to finished, I asked the cashier what was my total, because I wanted to make sure I had spent at least 25.00 . He said I spent a little over 30.00. ( He never gave me my exact total). Well I attempted to sign in a second time and the keypad failed again! Never did I see the coupons being taken off on the keypad! I'm getting upset at this point because it's taking forever and I apologized to the customer waiting behind me. She said, "It's okay, the keypad goes out on me too." So my thoughts were, why are ya'll even using this register? Why not get a new keypad! For these reasons, I will not be returning to this location. If my next visit to DG is anything like this, and I don't see any savings using the app, I will uninstall the app and keep shopping at Family Dollar!

I am extremely proud of my Dollar General here in Schertz. 2 weeks ago I was emptying my cart and the person next in line would not stay his 6 ft. distance away from me. I started to say something and before I could the cashier that was taking care of me did. Told him to stay back until he was done with me. The other customer backed up but not to where he should have. Next trip i will have my cart between myself and the next customer in line. And I will be in front of the cart. I'm not getting sick because of rudeness.

I get my pet food here. The prices are better than the large grocery stores. The employees are always friendly. They have a nice selection of frozen food as well.

Dollar General 500 Schertz ParkwayThe bathroom has not been accessible for 2 weeks. The employees have been told to inform customers that it is out of order. The lock is broken on the door and the corporate management expects the employees to repIr the lock on their own time at their own expense. The bathroom is in fact not out of order because it's the only one in the store and the employees have to use it. If there were no bathroom for the employees this would be a violation of state health code laws.

All of their stores are set up the same way, I mainly go there for paper products. Toilet tissue is only $5, where else can you find it cheaper during this shortage? No place!Also Birthday cards are reasonable, too.

The total disregard of public health was sickening. The cashier working on 10/13/20 @ 6:00pm was asked to raise his mask by a customer but refused. This is unacceptable; this is a city ordinance enforcable by fine. I was tempted to call our police. But our fine officer have better things to do than deal with an idiot.

2nd time I've been there and the credit card scanner hasn't worked properly. And when I noticed that I started to notice all the other malfunctions. The male restroom is out of order and the store could be cleaned.
