i’ve been trying to call this pharmacy for THREE DAYS and not a single person has answered me and finally they do and I can’t hear anything over the phone it sounds i’m talking into a paper cup and I KNOW it’s not my end so idk what’s going on, and then they essentially just tell me they are holding medication or something from me because my insurance didn’t work? But nobody bothered to call and tell me that so I had no way of knowing? So instead they just didn’t fill it and then left me with these terrible withdrawal symptoms for the last week. I’m never returning here, i’ve switched over all of my information as soon as possible to avoid anymore dangerous situations like this. Fix your phones, pay your staff what they deserve, fix this entire pharmacy situation, and fix these stupid hours.

It’s very apparent that the pharmacy manager doesn’t like people and shouldn’t work in commercial pharmacy. I was refused an OTC med that was held behind the pharmacy counter because the pharmacist didn’t want to deal with the sale even though it’s listed on the website as available for sale (it was perrigo brand Tylenol suppositories for my baby that was throwing up everything)And after an actual argument with this guy, he didn’t even consult over my 12 month olds first antibiotic course after over night stay in the ER. When he came by to consult he scanned his barcode and walked back to his station and continued to ignore phone calls. I ended up calling my trusted pharmacy back in new braunfels for a consult and drove there to pick up the suppositories.

If I could, I would give this Walgreens a negative 10! DO NOT USE THIS WALGREENS!!! They are rude, unorganized and committing illegal activities. They shorted me 10 pills of a very sensitive medicine. When my husband came back to show them; the tech opened a drawer pulled out an UNMARKED bottle. Voila! 10 of the shorted count of MY EXACT medication. No question asked...no identification asked for. Hmmmm... something is up here! I suggest an audit!!! My husband and I have now transferred our medications to a more competent company. Absolutely disappointing after 30 plus years of being a Walgreens customer!!!

Takes a very long time to get thru on the phone to a pharmacist. I think they are very understaffed possibly but idk. Every single time I’ve called, there are at least 3 people on hold in front of me. Tried to get my accutane sent here. They put it on hold for days, and didn’t contact me to tell me why. When i went to check in person, they weren’t even sure if they had the authority/provision to provide accutane, then told me they could “try” ordering it for the next day. Accutane has a 7-day prescription window, and if u can’t pick up ur Rx within this window you have to re-do your monthly appointment, bloodwork, & questions. The pharmacist there seemed genuinely resentful of my existence, as if he was answering vaguely and nonchalantly on purpose. save yourself the headache and don’t pick up ur prescriptions from here. The pharmacy techs I’ve spoken to were both definitely nice, but they said they were going to order it yesterday but apparently didn’t . I called today & they said they’ll order it today. Idk what to believe

The pharmacy is POORLY run. There are at least four people back there but the phone rings non stopped, never answered, the car line is long, inside the people line is 8 people deep. Everyone else in the location is friendly but there is zero sense of urgency.

Whatever you do, do not use this pharmacy!! It’s impossible to speak to someone over the phone and speaking to someone at the counter can be even harder. I transferred two of my prescriptions here and I came back 3 days later to check on them in person and was told they lost my information and would have to re do everything. Losing information as a pharmacy is really unsettling! It seems all unorganized and they take forever to fill medication. Take your business else where especially if you take medication that you rely on!!

Update: no where on their website or outside signs do they post that their drive thru for the pharmacy closes earlier than the pharmacy’s posted hours online. If I would have known I would have gone inside instead of waiting in the drive thru line for 15 minutes to then drive up to a sign that says they were closed. This location continues to be wrought with issues.Regarding this pharmacy location, the drive thru has signs which give conflicting info. The staff person working the drive through told me I would have to get in the left lane to pick up my Rx and by that time that lane was 6 cars deep. I told them their sign had wrong info and they needed to change it. Let’s see if they happens.

I had a vaccine appointment here recently. I showed up 20 minutes early to my appointment and they checked me in and started the paperwork needed for the vaccines. I was fine waiting until my appointment time, however, they sat my paperwork down and forgot about me leaving me to sit for 55 minutes after my appointment time. They claimed they “didn’t know what happened” but I watched one of the techs grab the paperwork off a desk and say she forgot to give it to the pharmacist after filling it out. There were 4 people working and I interacted with 2 who knew I was there with a vaccine appointment. I have also had a heck of a time getting prescriptions filled here. One of the techs did not know how the express pay feature worked so I had to wait almost 10 minutes just for her to figure it out. They rarely answer their phone. Today I got a notification they were requesting refills on a medication I am no longer on, I tried to cancel this through the app twice and it kept saying error and to call the store, so I called the store and there was no answer. I have had consistently poor experiences with this location in particular.

Corporate needs to do a complete overhaul of this pharmacy. I have been on the phone on hold for close to an hour just to try and speak with someone. This happens every time I try to call and get my Rx transferred to this location but I might just have to start using CVS because this is unacceptable for a PHARMACY. People depend on these services to live and not die.

I know this review is long, but it has extremely important information because this pharmacy almost killed me. I’ve only been coming to this pharmacy for around a year, and last week they gave me the wrong dose for my prescription. I got my original prescription for 200mg a day around 3 weeks ago, and I only received half of the pills I was supposed to. I called the pharmacy when I ran out they said that someone was probably stealing my pills because they gave me the right amount. I went back to get it refilled after they finally admitted to only giving me half. When I went back a pharmacist named Lindsey took the empty prescription bottle and filled it with what was supposed to be 100mg pills that I took twice a day. I was unaware that I received double my dose until I started to overdose days later. I wasn’t able to function and lost consciousness multiple times while I was at work. I was forced to have someone drive 2 hours to pick me up since I could no longer move or talk properly. The only reason I knew they doubled my dose is because I know a nurse and they told me my medication was incorrect. If I didn’t know someone in the medical field, I would’ve ended up in the hospital. We contacted Walgreens and I received a call back from the store manager who sounded very concerned and made it seem like action would be taken. The next day I received a call from the pharmaceutical department who then informed me that they will talk to the people involved to let them know that they made a mistake. I tried to get some kind of action taken to ensure this would not happen again, but I was told that talking to the pharmacist was enough. Telling someone that making a fatal error due to recklessness is not holding someone accountable. First, my prescription was not filled to the correct amount, and then to cover it up they filled my prescription with the wrong pills. This interaction was completely off record and there is no proof of it occurring because she had me give her the already used and empty bottle so she can fill it and immediately hand it back to me. I have been slowly making my way up to the 200mg dose for the past few months, and now I have to completely restart. This was my bipolar medication and the stability that I have been working on for months has been destroyed. I am left with medical bills and missed hours from work that come from my own pocket, and the pharmacist that ruined my mental health and almost took away my life gets away with absolutely no repercussions. Unless you are willing to risk your health or have the ability to hire a lawyer, I would choose a different pharmacy.

Save yourself headaches and time.DON'T USE This Pharmacy!!!!!This is the worst pharmacy I have ever had to deal with in my life. Just to get hold of the pharmacy staff take more than 45min after being hanged up once before. Even if you attempt to get a prescription transfer the another pharmacy. The other pharmacy can't get a hold of them either. It's just outrageous the amount of hours one have to spend to try to obtain Rx medication fill or refilled.

I never ever leave reviews on places or act negatively towards establishments even if they are rude to me first, but this needs to be said. My prescription was called in over 24 hours ago by my doctor (9:30am to be exact). Throughout the day, I called TWICE asking when it was going to be ready because it was taking way longer than usual. I called once at 2:30pm and again at 6pm. Both times I was told that the pharmacist was working on them right then and there and they would be ready for me to pick up at the end of the day. I purposefully made my doc apt early in the morning so I could have my prescription before having to go to work as I wouldn’t get off until 9pm and that is when the pharmacy closes. The second time I called (at 6pm) I told them this information and they told me it would be ready by the end of the day and I could pick it up first thing in the morning. It is now the next morning and when I said I was picking up I was told that they didn’t get to it last night and that I would have to wait an additional 10 minutes for it to be finished. 10 minutes does not seem like a lot but I have been waiting 24 hours and was told it would be ready when I asked multiple times. I am very frustrated with the fact that they lied to me about when it would be ready just to keep me from getting upset over the phone. Shouldn’t have to wait this long for MEDICINE.

I don’t know what the deal is - but they can NEVER seem to easily fill my prescriptions. EVERY TIME, I have to call to see what they’re doing, because my prescription will say “in progress” until the end of time, if I don’t.And it’s never a quick phone call. It always takes about an hour before anyone gets to your call.

I have never had a good experience with the pharmacy. They are very unprofessional and rude. If you call, you will be on hold for more than 10 minutes before someone will answer. It usually takes 3 days up to a week to get a prescription filled. I suggest getting your medication else where if possible.

I arrived at Walgreens on 16 AUG 2022 around 9:30pm in order to return a blood pressure kit, total cost out the door $19.47. Walked through the entry and straight to the register in order to avoid any possible accusations of theft due to me not having my receipt for the item. Female cash register watched me the entire time. She then ask me can she help; I handed her the item explaining my situation for return. She then passed it on to the manager of the shift. He walked it to the photo section and then eventually gets to me and ask can he help. I’m confused at this point because the female employee just explained to him what needed to take place (mind you I am dressed in a 2 PAC T-Shirt, Basketball shorts, a Snap Back hat and Jordans). This is due to that day “comfortable attire”. Next, he goes on to ask me did I use my number to purchase the item and I stated I believe so but the young lady couldn’t find the item under it. He carried on to say, “well people steal from here all the time and return items with no receipt”. I replied, “why do I need to know that”? Are you insinuating that I stole this item? He replies, “No but I’m lost prevention and briefing you on the matters of the store”. This now has truly upset me because there are other customers in the store and I am embarrassed as ever. I then exchange a few words with him asking him why would he’d think I would steal something from the store of lesser value than what I am there to purchase at the moment. Therefore, now we are going back and forth on the topic and I felt like this was a case of defamation of character as a 25 year combat veteran Non-Commissioned Officer, Equal Opportunity Officer and prior Law Enforcement Officer. Finally, I went back to the store on and spoke with Peter Dirks about the situation and awaiting results of what retraining with this manager will take place in order to avoid any future racism or stereotype accusations of people inside of Walgreens, San Marcos.

This pharmacy has gone through alot of changes lately, but sill try their very best to get everything done, fast and correctly. No one is perfect, mistakes happen, but I believe the pressure corporate puts on the employees is unnecessary and they try their hardest to please everyone. Ever since covid hit, the amount of work expected is almost impossible. Trying to train new employees and still get everything done is really hard. I wish people would understand that we don't make you wait on purpose, we have alot of responsibility put on us, and we try our best. Lindsey's one of the best pharmacist I have ever worked with, her dedication to patients and employees is excellent!!!! Please, if you are a patient waiting, have some understanding that there are many steps to filling your script, and we try our hardest to do that for every patient we see!!

Staff has been nice yet they seem to have a high turn over rate. People used to know me by my voice. But it’s be also had them close the shutters in front of me and I had to go to the ER because I couldn’t get meds. Also the weekend hours are awful. 6 pm? Really? You open late. More then a million dollars passes in and out of that store in the pharmacy alone. On a Saturday the extend time to buy wine till 1 am but the pharmacy closes at 6?

Pharmacy review: Do not trust Pharmacist Alain Teken with your life. The worst medical experience I’ve ever had. I went in for two vaccines for international travel and he was the most arrogant and condescending provider. Had a god complex and when I tried to ask questions about what he was putting in my body said, “you seem to know everything so I don’t need to answer your questions. You’re the patient just sit there and be quiet. This is not fast food, I’m a real job. You don’t need to know.” was very defensive when I tried to word my questions in a different way as English was his second language and he got even more defensive. Then proceeded to jab me extra hard in retaliation.

My son set up a Covid test for me and erroneously used the wrong email. I told the woman who gave me the test that I did not own the email she had on record. I asked how to get my test results and she said I would have to call corporate to fix my account to get my covid test. After 30 minutes on the line with corporate, they said they couldn’t fix it without the requisition number from the store. After sitting on hold for 30 minutes with the store, I finally got the number. Then I sat on hold for 30 minutes with corporate again. The man talks me through how to change my email, THEN TELLS ME I CAN’T GET MY RESULTS AT ALL, THAT I WOULD HAVE TO RETAKE MY TEST! Then I told him that it was AGAINST THE LAW TO KNOWINGLY SEND MY MEDICAL INFORMATION TO A THIRD PARTY WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, and IT SHOULDN’T TAKE TWO HOURS TO GET THE CORRECT INFORMATION! He kept saying over and over that I was the one that set up the account under the wrong email. It was clear he had no intention of helping me, or trying to resolve this issue. When I asked if he was telling me that I should take my business elsewhere, he said, “Well Ma’am, that’s up to you.” If the woman who gave me the test had just thrown it out and said that I’d need to take the test again with the correct email, I get it. The error was on our part. However, knowing they had the wrong email, they sent out my information to an unknown party. I was also given the run around for two hours before getting the correct information. I am definitely taking my business elsewhere!

The pharmacy was not helpful. Only filled one prescription and did not inform me of issues with the other one until I had gone up to the store for a second time. Waste of time. Not able to assist. Now I am out a prescribed medication with little information on where to go from here. Been with Walgreens for many years but after moving here I am immediately changing my pharmacy.

I went to pick up a prescription at the drive thru window only to realize my new insurance hadn’t been updated (my fault I forgot it had changed) and instead of being rushed off, this awesome lady Victoria took the time to get it updated for me with no problem. She was as friendly and helpful as can be! I appreciate how nice and quick she was able to help me. Appreciate the great customer service Victoria!

This pharmacy staff needs to be fired.We had a prescription called over to the store from the other Walgreens in town at 9:50 pm. I said I was on my way. I called en route to say I was coming and was 2 miles away.I arrived at 9:02 pm to find the pharmacy closed.My daughter has a ear infection and we are visiting from out of town. I explained all this. Yet the staff refused to help by staying open 2 extra minutes.

I registered to get a COVID vaccine and filled out the form online before arriving. They made me redo the paperwork and told me to wait. I waited 30 minutes after my appointment time and then went back up. They had forgotten about me and closed for lunch! They then made me fill out the form a third time and wait again. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate

I came in just before 5PM looking for calmoseptine. I went to the baby/diaper area where Bailey asked me if she could help me find what I needed. This is the first time an employee has offered me assistance at this location. Bailey quickly brought me to another location where it would be. The brand I was looking for was not there, but the house brand “compared-to” was. After checking the stock room and freight totes, Bailey apologized that she could not find them.I purchased the house brand and am hoping it works well. I always have a challenge locating what I need in this store because product is often not located where you would expect it. If Bailey had not been so attentive and helpful, I would have not purchased anything and likely not returned for a while.

The pharmacy staff seemed to be doing their best while I and others waited for vaccinations. I was there long enough that I couldn't help but notice that the the floor was dirty. Especially gross in the nooks and inside corners.
