Came yesterday evening and the two young women working were extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the pet products available. They helped me pick out a treat and listed out specials for dog washing on Wednesdays. They also helped me with information on local room and boarding locations. Also my pup had an accident and they promptly cleaned it up. Thank you to these young women for being so helpful!!

I used to like this place. I would bring my dog on a regular basis once a month. ( Not anymore .In December I tried to make an appointment on a Wed they said No it takes me 1hr 30min to wash and blow dry a shaggy dog , so my next available I could go was Saturday they said no again. They only allow 30min washes. So sad they lost out on 130.00 food purchase for my dog. Needless to say I went to Petsmart to give them my business. This is true they do have a snooty attitude.

This is a great place and very friendly staff. They offer great service for bathing your dog. Will be visiting this place more often for my furry pets!

Great little store. Love their dog wash. Plenty of choice in different shampoos and doggy perfumes that last for weeks! Even after Bones goes for a swim, she still smells great afterwards.Shaggy dog is my main source for raw goat's milk and healthy snacks!They also have a great selection of toys.Bones was not a fan of the dog wash, but I was able to change her mind a little bit when I got her a toy from the store. 😂Maybe she wasn't feeling the Happy Hoody look. 🙊

Gosh, I love this place! I've been shopping at Shaggy Dog Market since their original store opened in Buda about 5 years ago.Recently, my sweet pup ended up in the ER and very, very sick. After being released, I came to Shaggy Dog the next day looking for a food that would be safe to feed her while she was recovering. Craig helped me to find a great canned (soft) food option for my sweet girl that had much better ingredients than the {brand we shall not name} food that the vet tried to give me.What really sets this place apart is the quality food + the friendly, knowledgeable staff! THANK YOU!!!

My dog Tucker and I LOVE Shaggy Dog Market! Their self-serve baths are wonderful with lots of shampoos and conditioning sprays to choose from. Their dog bakery cookies are the cutest and they have a great selection of durable dog toys. Prices are a bit high but it is because of the great quality of the products, so it’s worth it. The staff has always been kind and welcoming anytime we’ve come in or called. We are a loyal Shaggy Dog customer through and through!

I'll preface this with the information that I only shop here because they are one of the only places around that carries our brand of dog food. I really want to like this place. It's neat and clean, prices are reasonable, but I absolutely dread going in there and talking to anyone at the front. Bland personalities that somehow leave me feeling as if my questions are unwelcome. I just went in there to grab a bag of dog food and a couple of those special treats at the front. I told the girl that my dog didn't like the (pointed to which one) and asked about ones that get softer as they chew, as I felt that one was too hard for her. She halfway chuckled and said something like "yeah it's like that sometimes." I could barely hear her so I'm not sure. Either way, I'm pretty over the awkward interactions and weird, snooty vibe this place gives off. Guess I'll be changing up their food to be able to shop elsewhere, but it's a shame. This place could've been so nice!

Been going to this location for over a year to give my English bulldog a bath and everything was great until they started requiring appointments for baths. Sick of showing up and they tell me someone has an appointment for the bath stall yet there's no one around. I've made an appointment a couple of times but shouldn't it be first come first serve? I will never be back here I'm sick of the BS

I had a bad experience while going there every time I call to set up a pet spa appointment the two blonde girls are usually very rude or short with me on the phone. When I arrived there with my dog they looked at me really nasty and my dog who is a pitbull. I use to bring a husky there and they treated my husky nicely but not my pitbull (even though she is wayy more friendly compared to my husky). They also are seemingly nice to certain people who come inside there for reasons I’m not sure. I hope this improves in the future everyone and every dog should be treated with respect.

This place is great! I buy expensive dog food here and actually I find it's cheaper here than online. I can purchase in person. Staff is △⃒⃘lways kind and knowledgeable. They remember us.

This place is unique for the doggy wash stations! We love these because they are private rooms vs an open wash station with multiple dogs getting bathed in same room. The wash is very affordable and they supply with lots of things to use like sprays, brushes, soaps, towels, and a hair dryer, etc!However, I must leave 3 stars because the customer service is seriously lacking. Usually when I walk in any pet stores, employees are friendly and engaging. I'm not expecting employees to be ultra chipper and follow me around by any means as that would be awkward. But...the store atmosphere is far from welcoming and is already awkward because the 2 employees that seem to always be there when we shop stay eyes down and glued to their phones while they sit behind the counter and literally never look up. Seriously, when I'm in there I can't wait to leave because it's super uncomfortable when employees only speak to you when giving you your total at the register. Not sure this is the kind of customer engagement and store atmosphere the owners are envisioning in SM. Like look up! Look up from your phone. Be present. That's how this place would get 5 stars everytime. Improve the customer service.

Great store! I visited as soon as they opened and it perfect chance to see everything they had to offer. Lots of local brands and top notch healthy food and treats for our furry pets! A bit on the pricier side but I believe it is totally worth it! Not to mention the cute baked treats! Definitely plan on taking my fur baby with me next time.

I live in San Marcos and usually drive to Kyle to shop at that location for my dog. I was so happy when I realized that a San Marcos location had opened. Glad I don’t have to drive to Kyle to get my dogs goat milk anymore and I still get to support a great business! I recommend any dog owner to stop by and check them out.
