Don’t waste your time. Clothes is expensive to buy and when you sell they low ball you. I overheard an employee - blond short hair - laughing at another customer. Gross personalities but have signage everywhere about “being kind” and playing christian music. I was courteous and respectful and the attitude from several employees was not it. Get it together and get some manners.

I have been in many Plato’s Closets over the years and I can truthfully say this is the cleanest and most organized Plato’s Iv ever personally seen. The employees are very kind and the atmosphere is always very welcoming!!! Highly recommend shopping here!

Customer service at this Plato's was excellent!! My fiance and i are on a roadtrip through the states and have stopped at a few plato's closets, this one had the best customer service by far!! They actually honored my customer appreciation stamp card (other stores would not) We spent about $130 here and would gladly do it again!! Great deals, thanks to the girl who cashed us out for being so awesome!☆☆☆☆☆

WOW!! This is probably one of the best Plato Closet’s I’ve been too! Fabulous selection and even better service! The pretty young girl with bangs at the front desk was more than helpful and made my experience phenomenal!

I had over $200 worth of clothes in my hands and it was 3 minutes past the “time their dressing rooms closed” and they wouldn’t allow me to try on even a few of the items. I had to put everything back and it was a total waste of my time. None of the staff gave a verbal warning about dressings rooms about to close. Rude staff, ridiculous rules, & let’s not forget the dead grasshoppers all over the place.

Don’t waste your time trying to sell here. I brought two full totes of damn near new clothing with lots of pieces that I know would have sold well to the college crowd that frequents this store. They texted me 20 minutes after I dropped it off saying they were done. They didn’t take a single item. I know that they didn’t even look through my bins. If you’re not buying, just say that, instead of wasting peoples time.

I arrived with a trash bag of clothes. I do not live in San Marcos and when I walked in was told they only except bins. I then drove all the way home which is a 40 minute drive to pick up a basket( nothing was said about not taking trash bags on website). When I then arrived back I was told they stopped buying clothes at 4. I came in at 4:10. I am honestly very sad and upset.

My husband and I spent an hour and a half waiting for them to look through my clothes only to realize they didn't even look at any of my clothes!! And they told me they passed because they were “older brands”. I had some really nice cute clothes, how would they know when they literally didn’t even look at any of my clothes?!? Or the lady before me, they didn’t look at her clothes either! My bag I brought in was in the exact same order when I left in the exact same spot on the floor. I feel awful wasting my time there, never going back.

My experience on Friday was upsetting. The girl with heart shaped glasses was at the register when I was trying to check out. I found her to be very rude and had an I don't care attitude. I was just trying to purchase a simple item that didn't have a price tagand just asked for the price . She just shrugged her shoulders and seemed unbothered to my concern. She had poor customer service.

Staff is nice & they give a good amount for the stuff you give. They’ll only pick about 5-10 pieces tho they don’t take in much. They didn’t take long to look thru the clothes. Clean and organized store

The other reviews are misleading, I had a good experience. They took some items of mine & were pretty friendly. I found a few items I liked on the racks. Overall, it’s a clean store, I can see why they don’t take every single thing you bring up there. Sizes, types of clothing & seasons matter in a retail spaces. I would sell stuff to them again if I needed to.

The store has a nice appearance with a clean smell. Clothing was organized well and employees were all willing to help if needed. Jess, store manager was present and welcoming to me as I entered and left the store! Will be shopping here again!

I have always been able to find at least 4 items I absolutely love when I visit this shop. They have a great collection of clothes. The staff, however, have never been nice any time I've visited. A cashier at a sketchy gas station would have better sales presence. I will definitely return for the cheap and cute clothes, though.

Zero stars if I could. Took a bag of NAME BRAND items that I bought within the year. I didn't expect them to choose all of the items I brought but at least some. Nope! "Due to wear and these items are out of season we passed on all your items". Everything in that bag was worn ONCE, and all of them were bought within the year. Nothing should have been "out of season". They also don't accept anything that's not in a reusable bag, which I brought my items in some plastic bags. Funny that they don't accept items that are in a trash bag, considering all the stuff they sell is pretty much trash. Never going back! Save yourself the hassle and drive!

I do love this store. It has one of the best selections of all the Plato's I have been to. I used to work 3 different ones in Houston, also. The men's section is surprisingly stocked, which is something I have noticed missing from other stores before. The staff is very friendly, for the most part. I've been going here for a couple years now and there have been some people who weren't quite as friendly but they never seem to stick around. The current staff when I visited this past week on Thursday, 7/19 was awesome. They were more than willing to help me find things, answer questions, hold things behind the counter, get mannequins down etc. The Facebook is always kept up to date with new, cute things that come in and I so appreciate that. Outfit below all from this location for less than $20. Can't beat that!

The young girls that work there are rude and very unfriendly. They are so stuck up. They think they're better than you. And they're not at all. They need to learn how to treat customer's and greet when you walk in. Instead of having their nose up in the air. I had just walked in to try to sell some of my clothes. And there was this big girl sitting on the counter. Very unprofessional.

Took a bag of items last night when hardly busy. They told me 15 mins. No problem. Then no kidding under 5 mins later got a text that buy was complete. I said to the employee are you seriously 😐 done with my huge bag of a buy in under 5 mins and looked at all my items? She said yes.....no unless bullet fast I don't buy she looked at it ALL if any! To top it off she said due to inventory and styles not what looking for she passed on it all! J CREW, Kate SPADE, Hollister Forever 21 dress, PINK VICTORIA'S SECRET BRAND, and more.....couldn't not find 1 single item to buy plus 2 work out tops in mint condition. They could not find 1 item to buy in the while bag? Teally? What a joke? Not to mention their shoe prices jumped thru the room for used. Platos needs to think thigs thru the more you buy the more people will shop there because you won't pass them off. Great selection of clothing and bags if wanna shop however. That is why gave 2 stars instead of one.

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. Brought in a huge box full of clothes, PLUS a basket full of clothes with some items that still had the tag on them that were around $50, and they ended up only taking a couple crop tops and low cut body suits and in return gave me $17 total for a handful of items that they claimed were “in style”. Claimed the other items weren’t “to their standard”. This place is a fat scam. Don’t waste your time.

BEST. THRIFT STORE. EVER.!!!!! I did get super cute jeans for a low price of $12 (these jeans looked like they could be 45 dollars!!!) and a National Geographic hoodie for only $10!! Those things are expensive, man! But not here! And yes, that’s the point of a thrift store…but my point trying to be made is that they have really cool stuff for all body types and sizes and none of it looks worn out. I however have no experience selling to them because I’m young but I really recommend buying for this thrift store-can’t wait to come back for back to school shopping!!!

I asked for a return and I get that u need a tag but if it says I bought it in the receipt why not give me my money back for it too? Clearly it’s on the receipt I don’t maybe fix ur system and get better employees

The staff is insanely rude. Don't waste your time here, go to Uptown Cheapskates instead. The people here act like brain dead zombies who would much rather not be at work. I work in retail, and I make sure to greet everyone with a big smile and all of my attention. Unfortunately, I did not receive the same treatment here. I brought my clothes in and the blonde didn't even greet me or look me in the eye she just asked if I had been here before. When I was ready to check out the black man mumbled for what I thought was my ID, and he was already ringing me up but I stopped him and said, but my clothes are over there and he just replies "I know." This staff has ZERO customer service skills! And worst of all he said they couldn't buy any of my clothes and I was beyond shocked. Again, I work in a fashion forward retail store, I know exactly what is trendy. Some of my clothes I hadn't even worn before, and they said it was faded.But that's forgiven, what I can't forgive is their poor customer service. I will NOT be returning again.

Okay so this might be my new favorite store. I stopped by Goodwill before I came here and their clothes were like $7 for shirts but they were all out of style and ugly. I came here and it's like I'm at Forever 21, Charlotte Rouse and every other store for young women, but cheaper. The clothes aren't like $2 or anything, but you might pay $12 or $15 for a shirt at Forever 21, but you'd pay $8 for it here. Plus the clothes are good quality, and really cute, and in style! I started an internship a while ago and came here to find clothes suitable for an office, but also cute and doesn't age me. I found a good amount of stuff. Everything is super organized and clean. The staff is really nice. Doesn't feel like a thrift store. A good store to go to if you don't want to go to the huge outlet stores. I will be back.

Don’t sell your clothes here. If they don’t like your look they will just tell you the clothes are too worn without even bothering to go through anything. I brought in a bag of stuff that was untouched when I got back and lied about it being too worn or not what they wanted. It was obvious they just kicked it aside and didn’t bother to tell me they were done. I’ve been shopping here too and I’ve heard employees just hanging out and talking badly about customers as they walk by. No one is near dressing rooms or helps you out at all. 100% worst location I’ve been to. Better off going to Uptown Cheapskate or Ebay.

THIS PLACE IS DISHONEST!I brought my clothes in and folded them in a specific order and when I got them back (they offered me a measly $6) my clothes were still in the exact same order I folded them in! Horrible service, next time I will have to watch them go through each item of clothing which is absolutely ridiculous considering their policy. I will do this again to provide an update, and if it happens again I'm going to really cause some problems for this store and it's employees. Absolutely shameful.
