Great Supermarket, NYC has to have one of these soon. The customer service was great until a cashier “Livia” decided I wasn’t going to pay for my steak after asking her to come over and help me “ She removed my steak from my cart and in an embarrassing manner stated “oh your going to have to pay for that steak 🥩 too sir” like I haven’t scanned every item in my cart, And asked you for help ! Then you come and insult me ? “Typical Texas” white girl said the Spanish woman in line. I just walked out of there, but I have a good mind to return the beef chuck, I don’t think it’ll taste good anymore. Ruined H.E.B for me, all and all a great grocery with mostly fresh foods. Establishment 💯 employees 50/50. Now I can drive off-TG&G

We were visiting San Marcos for the eclipse in April of 2024. We had food delivered from HEB to our VRBO, and we visited in person to pick up a couple of items as well. We had a good experience, we found what we needed. It was clean, well-stocked, and the checkout process was easy and efficient.Also, I can recommend all of the generic, HEB branded, items we tried. We had slivered ham from the deli, we had condiments, we had cheeses, we had bread, we had eggs, we had candies, sodas, and I am sure there was more than I am recalling. Every item was of good quality. All of the food items were delicious. I don't always buy generic, but if I was local to this store, I absolutely would.The produce is great as well. The pineapple was a little less sweet than we would have liked, but other than that everything was fresh and clean and almost entirely unbruised and undamaged.

Shorted my order without notification. Associate was rude. Was told ALL refrigerated food was thrown out due to power outage. Only icecream left off order. Meat, fruit, eggs fulfilled. Are these items going to make me Sick since ALL power had gone out. Was told "everything but icecream is delivered every morning" & "NO manager is on duty" Seems they LIE at HEB now! WILL SHOP ELSEWHERE!

Overbooking curbside slots results in parking lot battles during peak hours such at 7pm on a Sunday. Decrease the amount of curbside slots available to make it a safe and enjoyable experience for your guests. Additionally, I’ve been checked in for half an hour to no avail.This staff is excellent and does their very best, there are simply too many pickups booked at once.

This particular post if for the pickup orders. Twice in a row we have submitted to pick up our orders. And twice they've marked everything was in stock and both times items were missing. The 1st time it was literally half of the order. It's hard for me to get out of the house considering my health and having to constantly having to go back to the store to pick up items that were assured was in stock and wasn't, is hard on my body.

I love HEB in general and this one is OK. Sometimes I feel it’s not enough for the amount of customers we have especially because San Marcos is a college town and there are so many people moving in and out regularly. However, they have been making upgrades including getting all new carts and, most recently, updating their restrooms. It was long overdue and I MUCH appreciate it!

Decent sized store but parking lot is insanity and their curbside is constantly overbooked. I just spent 30 minutes trapped in their lot trying to find an open curbside spot. HEB tortillas are the best, though, so there's that.

I was at the San marcos heb on Thorpe ln going inside for migraine medicine. I had a very bad migraine. so I stopped to get medication and crackers and water. My migraines make me throw up when they are particularly bad. I threw up in the bathroom. Inside a toilet. I thought I was good to go after 30 min and ventured out to get supplies and check out. In self check out I felt it coming up again. I did my best and made it just outside the exit door before throwing up again. A kind couple stopped and asked if I needed help. I asked if they would get someone from the store and that I was sure they would help me. He let me know he got someone and they were on the way. That someone walked right past me, got a cart to block the entrance and walked away. Did not check on me. He stood back and stared through the window. Then a manager. Female shirt with glasses I think. Brown hair. They spoke and gestured to me and still just stared through windows. I tried to motion them to me to ask for help. Just a couple paper towels for my hands and nose or something. The manager caught my eye and looked away. Did not come. I was still shaky and trying not to throw up more. I slowly made my way across entrance to the cart wipes so I could wipe my hands and blow the throw up out of my nose. Still no one from the store approached me to see how I was. Someone came really quickly to drop a sign over the throw up and walked away. I eventually made it back to my car on my own. But I am appalled that something like that could happen at an HEB. Where is the human decency? When someone is in distress at your store, you don't just watch. You help them. Shame on you HEB. I would fire every single one of the employees that just walked by or just watched. How can you pretend to be a store that cares? Heartless is more like it.

12/23 has to be the busiest grocery shopping day of the year. That doesn't phase HEB! As usual they are ALL OVER IT. Every staff member was polite, assertively helpful and patient with the crowd. I LOVE my HEB!

Andy in the seafood section is a G. I didn’t know what salmon to get at all. But he was super nice and gave me a mini salmon history that I don’t remember but yay thanks ! Give the man a raise and a promotion (my professional opinion)

Only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because I once bought dairy and was expired and had to come back to switch out. I was keeping an eye out of expirations since then but one time I forgot again and accidently bought another expired dairy and just gave up coming back for this again. Just got to remember your expirations for your foods here when you can.

I came here to shop not get harassed. I was at self check and all of a sudden a worker comes up to me asking me if I ran up two red bulls. When he realized I got super mad about coming up to me ringing up he came up with an excuse say they want to make sure that they didn't double ring me, how is that possible if I rang up my own items. Don't start acting like Walmart at the self check out HEB.

Always check you receipts when shopping here. Cashiers act like they don’t know but they over charge you on produce, oh and don’t even bother on reporting it to customer service about what happened since they never replied back to my email. Very disappointing that for them is okay to over charge and steal from customers. Bad H‑E‑B location!

Self check out pretty darn sensitive and slow responsive when it comes to "fast, self checkout", you end up needing the one, single person checking everyone, kinda diminishing or demolishing I should say, the whole purpose of these lanes

Every time I go into this location I’m disappointed. Haven’t been to this location in awhile because they never have what I am looking for. Went in to pick up some gluten free items only to find they no longer have a dedicated gluten free section.I found this out when speaking with a manager who let me know that that the gluten free items were located around the store. I thanked him for the info and said I would no longer be shopping at this location and would be driving to either Kyle or New Braunfels and shrugged his shoulders and said “ok.” Great customer service!

This H‑E‑B is top choice for me. has so much more selection than the smaller HEB in town. I love the healthy food and produce much better than Walmart no question. if you dont like crowds come in morning before noon . The personal shoppers do get in the way but they move . To me the college youth working here makes the H‑E‑B experience unique when you’re used to shopping at different HEBs in other towns. Keep it up guys it’s tough at the only big one in town !

Honestly, it has been the worst place to get my deli hots from. All I wanted for the last 4 days has been teriyaki chiken, and all 4 days, the guy gave me the same excuse. I only make 4 portions a day. So if they take them they take them. Poor excuse if I may say pity, this is the customer service I get. HEB going down the drain sad to say it. Partners don't have the same dedication anymore. The only 2 person that were very helpful were KATE and PAMELA

Where do I start with this unconcerned management run store.For one, this and the other downtown location aren't sufficient to serve the ever expanding San Marcos population. Due to this inconvenience of minimal grocery shopping locations. The entire city of San Marcos has to enter a parking lot crammed with a wrap around the lot line of cars waiting for curbside pickup.If you somehow manage to get a parking spot to do shopping. The curbside shoppers are always rude and in the way of shoppers whilst also in little groups gossiping. It's always the female staff just talking in front of products others need to get to.The gossiping doesn't stop at the grocery selection. Had a blonde female cashier last week that literally held her conversation. With the bagging coworker. Making the checkout process horrendously slow. Watched a manager just ignoring the issue while counting money.The tortillas in the bakery are ALWAYS out of stock by 7-8pm. The bakery manager is aware of the problem. Which stems from a couple taco vendors coming in to buy large quantities to make their tacos. These businesses that need product will still get the stock. Regardless of item limitations. They bring multiple family members to buy what they would need.So the problem of having tortillas for shoppers that get their shopping done later in the evening. Continues to plague this location consistently. The inability to recognize the need for more workers goes unaddressed for months.Otherwise the tortilla problem wouldn't be an ongoing issue.Then when you're done shopping the store and unable to obtain what you set out to buy. Since this H.E.B never has it stocked. With management that can't be bothered to address issues.Be ready to bag all your own items. For whatever reason the baggers at this location are a rare commodity. Feel free to shop here and see for yourself. I consistently see teller/bagging management staring off into phones. Instead of chipping in or keeping talkative easily distracted coworkers on task by reminding them they're at work.Whatever lax managing approach this location has been going down the last few months. Made the shopping experience horrendous.District management needs to do a month long evaluation to take all my complaints into account. This store is getting out of hand.

David ( 7 yes w/ HEB) helped me when he did not have to. I ordered some marigolds weeks ago and I knew that I needed to pick him up today, but due to my job being so hectic it totally slipped my mind. And I needed these marigolds for an important event tomorrow early am. So I called in a panic and tried to plead with someone to sell them to me even though the floral department was closed. David was so kind on the phone. He put me at ease and got my order ready by the time ai arrived, so that I can pay for it at the register. Thank you, David
