Joe knows his stuff! We bought a Dubai set up from him last year and it has been so successful we just bought another this morning. He took the time to explain everything we needed to know to make it work and his roach enclosures are very well made, thought out and fool proof. I recently purchased a 36” wide X 24” deep X 18” tall enclosure from South Texas Dragons. The wait was well worth it for this cage. The components and craftsmanship of the cage are excellent, especially considering the price. While there, he provided me insight on how to better take care of my bearded dragon. Joe deeply cares about the well-being of bearded dragons, which shows in the construction of his cages.

Joe is NOT yr average Joe! He is very knowledgeable and passionate about reptiles, and the enclosures he builds are FANTASTIC quality! They are surprisingly light and very durable! I ordered the standard enclosure for my 1 y/o 24 inch beardie and he is already loving his new pad! You have to make sure and keep in touch with him about the wait list/ build time depending on how many builds he's got going on atm. Very good experience overall, and I would definitely buy from his store again!

We bought a beautiful bearded dragon. During the recent power outage we unfortunately lost our dragon to the cold. As all vets were closed, once power came on Joe responded back with an attempt to help us save my daughter's dragon. Please remember that he works at a hospital and there has been a covid situation. He only can do so much. He is the most knowledgeable and is the most respected breeder in S.W. Texas.

My sister sent us to pick some lizard food up for her. My husband went in and came out amazed at the shop. Yes it's a home but in reality it's a super cool place to buy reptiles and food for your reptiles. My husband now wants to buy a creature of his own lol. My sister's lizard loves the Dubai roaches. 👍👍👍

I have been sold alot of garbage from supposed pet stores along with false info on how to care for my dragon and i thought it was good info from name brand pet stores WRONG ! they talk a good game and it sounds good and my dragon would have died like unfortunatly many do - however if you stop to think abput what credentials the pet store people have besides the pets for sale in the tanks ? NONE ! When you speak with joe you are literally surrounded by nrw born dragons ,,full grown ones and everything in between and he does it all and knows it all - thats his proof of credentials and thats alot more than the pet stores can boast isnt it ? Proofs in the pudding ! This guys knowledge blew me away he knows everything hes a professional and you will find out everything youve bern told was WRONG ! if you love your dragon and really want the best for it i strongly recommend you deal with joe at south texas dragons this guy is the real deal and he loves what he does was very explanitory and extremely helpfull he fully understands the missinformation thats out there and will be glad to set you on the right path - dragons are such awesome pets especially if ypu get to know them . I am dissapointed that this rating is only 5 stars because after listening and dealing with joe on jyst my 1st visit id give it 50 stars HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Visiting the area and found d this place on Google. It was a home but had signs hanging outside so we decided to check it out. He seemed very mad we were there. He clearly had terrariums set up in front room but clearly did not want us to look at them. He was rude and it was a giant waste of time.
