The owner was very nice and she helped with any questions we had. My sister is very nervous and loses her words when she talks to people but Adriana helped her and was very patient. The cupcakes were so delicious. Each one was perfectly moist and even though they looked like they sat out for a good minute, the frosting did not become hard and crumbly like other places. We are actually ordering a custom alice in wonderland cake from them and they have been very helpful with that process.

I drove through evening traffic at Alamo Ranch because I saw a post for a Lucky charms cupcake. It looked so pretty with colorful marshmallows throughout the cake and a few more marshmallows sprinkled on top. The ad also stated there was a marshmallow creme filling. I placed my order. The person in front did state they were the last 2. She had go to the back to get them. When I got home they did not look like picture. No colorful marshmallows just sticky, gummy oat cereal on top. I cut the cupcake, nothing inside. No creme, no marshmallows. Both cupcakes were this way. I called Smallcakes. I asked for the manager or owner. Told her the story. She said it must've been the end of the batch. I will be more diligent next time so they all have marshmallow. She offered nothing to make it right. I did not get what I paid for. I spent $20+ on 5 cupcakes. There are plenty of small businesses who want to earn your business this is not one of them. Don't waste your money here.

I went into the store at 5pm and all of the displays shelves were empty. I asked the sales women if they were sold out and she said no, all the cupcakes were in the back becausethey only display during the day but at the end of the night they put everything up. They still had 3 hours before they closed, it was not the end of the night. I told her I was a visual shopper and wanted to see the cakes to help me decide what to buy. She pulled up the menu on the computer and it had all of the regular cakes but none of the weekly specials. I was interested in a special cake and I asked her if she could get one from the back so I could see it. She did so, but with an attitude and she kept that attitude for the rest of the interaction.

We got our 25th anniversary cake done at small cakes. The customer service was great. My husband emailed them and they responded quickly, and gave quotes on 3 different cakes. When we went in she remembered who we were just by the picture we showed her. It was a short notice,not even a week, and she was able to accommodate us. The cake was wonderful, moist and very flavorful and reasonably priced. She also made the cake identical to the picture we brought in! We will definitely return for any other special occasion!!!They did it again!!! They made our daughters 17th birthday cake. They go above and beyond here, I would recommend this place to anyone. My daughter requested a pistachio raspberry cake with cream cheese frosting and white chocolate with fresh raspberries on top. It was not one of their flavors and she still accommodated our request. It was so delicious moist, flavorful, and prefect sweet ratio. Well continue to get our cakes from here!!! Thank you for making our daughter very happy!!!

We ordered our usual Decadent Vanilla mini cupcakes for a birthday party we hosted. I ordered a dozen. You can clearly see they were made incorrectly and they tried to fix it by scraping off the wrong frosting and putting the fudge on top. Well whatever was on before absolutely changed the flavor of the cupcakes. Extremely disappointing. Unfortunately I was in a hurry so I didn't inspect them closely when picking them up. They looked right upon a quick glance. It wasn't until I tasted one that I looked at them more closely and by that point it was too late.

Went here with my two kiddos because they were begging. They have a huge selection and they do a different variety every day. The cupcakes are kind of pricey but that's expected at a cake shop. We tried the Chocoholic, fudge Sunday, and red velvet. They all had plenty of icing on top and were iced to order. The only bummer was that two were tipped over by the time we got home. Not sure how as we held the box flat the whole time, but I'm not faulting the bakery for this. We enjoyed them but I thought they were a bit overly sweet.The one employee I interacted with up front was nice and helpful and the place looked nice and clean.

Super moist and yummy cupcakes. They aren’t overpoweringly sweet, perfect ratio of cupcake and icing. Kids loved it!Parking: Parking is easy peasy. You can usually park right in front of the shop to run in and out.Kid-friendliness: Kids love these special treats that aren’t too sweet.

We have ordered from this place a few times but the last 2 times we ordered pup cakes and never received them. When I called them to let them know that this is the second time they forgot them, the girl said “it’s an honest mistake and they were only $4.00”. Ok that is $8.00 now and that is just me ordering them, who else has ordered them and not received them? That adds up and they should either deliver them at their expense or credit you for them. I guess I’ll open a business like this and say oh well you paid for an item you didn’t get not my problem.

I absolutely loved the way my daughters birthday cake came out! It was soooo beautiful and taste soooo good and was a good price! And everyone was so nice and helpful! All my guests said it was so cute and taste really good, I couldn’t have asked for it to come out any better!

This was my first time ordering a custom cake from SmallCakes, I knew it would taste amazing since I’ve tried their desserts before but I was nervous to see how the cake would turn out. It ended up coming out amazing! Just like the picture I showed them, and everyone loved the taste. Their cake is very moist and amazing icing. Not too overpowering, doesn’t taste like food coloring or anything like that. I will definitely continue ordering my cakes from here!

I had my wedding cake made by Smallcakes and they did a phenomenal job! It was exactly what I wanted!! We did red velvet and it was delicious! I added the flowers and cake topper. Everyone complemented how beautiful the cake was and how good it tasted.

I am so lucky to have found this little gem! Customer Service is amazing! Picked up 1/2 dozen of their specialty cupcakes for an office team and wow! I was very impressed! Homemade ice-cream, I had the carrot cake ice-cream and it was delicious! Also picked up a pupcup for my puppy! I highly recommend Smallcakes!

This place is LEGIT. You know if my 2.5 year old daughter approves, it’s good. And she wanted “more” after we finished them. The cake is MOIST, the icing is just right. The owner was so sweet and accommodating when we happened in on a lazy Monday afternoon. We will definitely return! #shopsmall

This is my 3rd time ordering from small cakes. I saved this for my last Sales meeting for Bacon Work, because I knew I was going to get some cup cakes to take home right away for the wife. Adriana was busy but still took the time to talk to me and was super sweet. Lemon Drop is the best. Recommend 100%

BOTTOMLINE: Worth the drive the cupcakes were amazing.It has been really difficult to find good red velvet cupcakes or good and fresh cupcakes in general in San Antonio. I have tried at least 15 different bakeries and each has been either dry, missing the RV flavor, the cream cheese icing was nasty or something else. I ordered a 1/2 dozen of the chocolate flavor and red velvet(we are a chocolate family).....ALL cupcakes were great. Moist without crumbling apart and the flavors were really good. I was pleasantly surprised. Will be visiting again.

My husband tried their pumpkin chocolate chip ice cream and gives it a2 thumbs up. The carrot cupcake was to die for. All I can say YUM!

I read all the reviews and decided to go check it out. I had no issues. The cupcakes where large but you got your money’s worth. My walmart and HEB store were little more for two dozen of the speciality cupcakes. So for me this was perfect. My order of two dozen vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavored cake were great! They were moist, tasteful and the frosting wasn’t to sweet. They looked clean and delicious. My family and friends all enjoyed them and asked where I got them. We had a two ladies working with us and they were positive and willing to accommodate our request. Good job ladies my crew was happy!

Bad customer service from the female with green hair. Management should really not have someone help customers who is completely unknowledgeable about the products in the shop, that also lack's the capacity to have a good attitude. The cupcakes fell apart and crumbled with the top of the cupcake stuck to the heavy amount of frosting which was a let down but the taste was fine. I was considering getting some more for a function coming up but after the terrible customer service from an individual that has no business working anywhere near food/retail. To then pay for falling apart cupcakes I'll go elsewhere.

This review is based on my customer service experience. This was my first time visiting and after seeing the variety of cupcakes I was really interested in trying them. I gave my order to cashier and she begins to take down cupcakes that were sitting out in the open uncovered on display. I asked if that was all they had and she replied they had more in the back but her tone was if it was an inconvenience to go in the back. I'm thinking why would she not want to give me fresh cupcakes. I would think that had to be a health code violation and if not it's just plain gross. Starbucks stop giving you food items directly from the display because sanitary reasons. I would think that would be standard practice. So the store system is down and I have to pay cash. I'm standing there watching her struggle to do the math for change. I started to help her and she told me I messed her up. Again I'm the customer. She pulls out phone to figure out change. I was so taken back I haven't even tried the cupcakes.UPDATE: The cup cakes are really good. I will go back but I would like them to work on their customer service.

We got some cupcakes here last minute and did some googling to see reviews and it honestly was such a let down. They were okay tasting but the icing was so heavy the cupcakes just kept falling apart as I was handing them out. And they are expensive. I really wish I had just stopped at Walmart instead but thought the red velvet sounded unique. Not worth it. Wouldn't go back.
