I was looking to upgrade my 11yo RES from a 75 gal to anything larger. Mr. Harewood helped me out from beginning to end; I’ve honestly never had better customer service from anywhere else. Upon walking in, it’s a clean shop, stream lined with modern technology and such a peaceful ambiance. Within a week’s time, we were able to buy a 94 gal with delivery, and setup, PLUS more. Mr. Harewood and Rob were able to take away my old tank and reinforce the old stand -including a paint touch up! The new tank was filled and ready to go within 3 hours! He’s very transparent and personable, AND he has picked such a friendly and knowledgeable team!! I’m excited to try aquascaping again because of the Sea Hare Team. All my future business will be directed here! 10/10 !!

Went to sea hare to start a new hobby and what can I say but that I have been taught through Ronniel how to maintain and keep up to date my tank. He is very knowledgeable and has walked me through it every step of the way. I highly recommend visiting the shop and having talks with him if you want to start a tank or even just get info for your tank. He loves what he does and I see it so I know he will help you as he has helped me.

By far the best fish store in town. The owners Ronny and Kim are simply the nicest and most genuine people. Anytime I have questions or need help, they are always there to take care of me. Their corals and fish selection is AMAZING!! Also... they did my installation on my tank 375 gallons flawlessly!!! my rock scape looks stellar. I cannot recommend them enough!! BEST AQUATIC STORE EVER!!

Sea Hare Aquatics is a warm, friendly environment where education is front and center of every interaction. I recently got back into the Saltwater aquarium hobby after a 20 year break and am learning a ton. So much has changed over the last 20 years, including the technology, which I absolutely love. I enjoy having a small piece of the ocean right in my home office where I can enjoy it everyday!I connected with Ronneil and Kimberly, owners of Sea Hare Aquatics, about 6 months ago and I absolutely love visiting their store and learning about all the amazing species they carry in their shop. I also have been using Ronneil for maintenance every two weeks to help get my reef up and running as I jump back into this hobby. Went in on Thursday with some fish I could no longer own because of apartment complex rules, called and talk to Ronneil and he gladly took in the handful of fish I reluctantly had to re-home.I asked if he had 20 gallon tanks for a reptile of mine, Sunday he called me and told me he had a tank and I was more than welcome to it.He was so friendly and so passionate about the fish hobby. Helped me to the car with my tank and talked about his passion for fish and the hobby keeping. As someone who has owned tanks for years and had to go through main stream stores and had so much trial and error because of misinformation, if I'm ever able to have a tank again I'll definitely come back to him to help me properly stock my tanks.(My frog says thank you for the tank!)

We had a wonderful experience with Sea Hare Aquatics! Ronneil, the owner, is so nice and personable. He helped us out with our fish tank when my husband was unable to clean the tank due to a surgery. When scheduling for a home visit, Kimberly called me back in a mannerly time and was so nice.Ronneil gave us tips that we never knew about about our tank and fish when he came to the house. Ronneil truly cares about his customers and his passion. He's extremely knowledgeable and happy to help share his knowledge without hesitation.While we were there, customers were each greeted with familiarity, giving it a feeling of community and family. I worked with Ron to temporarily move my established 170 gallon rimless display system to support some house work. He and his team were nothing but professional. He worked around the holiday and house contractors schedules. He also provided a quarantine system for my fish and corals. I'm happy to say that not only I didn't lose a single fish, but they are not showing signs of stress. Finally, the way he set up my hard scape made it look like I have about 20 lbs more live rock, have three more caves, and showcases my coral in a way that it looks like I have a whole new system!I'm thrilled that I went with Ron and offer my highest recommendation!

Omg they did a lovely job on my tank. The water was brown from the tannin of an improper log from another pet store. They got the tannin out cleaned my canister and the glass and made sure my eco system was thriving. I never knew anything about this hobby I started it for therapy and the stuff I learn from the owner and his staff is unmatched by any other Aquatic Pet store. I wished I could share the pictures of what they have done in mater of 2 months of my tank. And before I put anything in my system they explain the purpose of the chemical or plant or fish before I introduce anything.

Man all i can say is bravo ! This was the 3rd shop i visited and no one was able to convince me into getting a tank, some shops cared too much about over pricing and not the customer , some were not as knowledgeable. But coming into sea hare aquatics honestly was the best thing i could have done because Ronniel and his team were knowledgeable and were interested in helping me get what i needed and not what they needed to sell. I personally suggest you give em a try i am sure you won’t be disappointed, i know for sure i wasn’t. I’ll be back soon !

I walked in Sunday before they closed and met Ronneil. He understood this was my first saltwater aquarium and took the time (even after closing hours) to help explain and simplify the process of how to set up and cycle everything to start. I could tell he had so much passion and knowledge it made me excited to start. He told me to come back in a few weeks to see where my water levels were at and talk about the next steps. I’ve been to many other pet stores trying to get information and this was the first place I actually felt like he cared and it wasn’t just business unlike other stores. UPDATE: All the feedback provided below is 100% accurate. I just posted legitimate questions on the Facebook page for this shop and Ronneil just blocked me. That should tell you all you need to know about this fish shop. The recent positive reviews are from folks that state they are new to the hobby. Unfortunately they don't know better and trust Ronneil like we did a year ago. His answer for every tank problem is to dump chemical products like Dr. Tims into your tank even after he knows he sells API test kits that are easily proven unreliable with respect to nitrates.Ronneil may have expertise regarding freshwater fish. We didn't have a freshwater tank, so I can't speak to that.Ronneil's prices are outrageous compared to other fish shops in San Antonio. His saltwater knowledge is limited to say the least. My wife and I caught him in more than one lie where he said not to do something, and then he was doing the same thing with the fish in his shop. Our best example is feeding Anenomes. Ronneil said not to do that, and my wife went to his shop to pick up supplies one day and caught him feeding the Anenomes in his shop.Maybe you can work with Ronneil IF you have experience in this hobby. Otherwise, dealing with Sea Hare Aquatics is a guarantee for heartbreak if you care about your marine fish. Even in the face of direct evidence that the API test kits he sells are flawed, he still pitches those kits as reliable.

Edit: I’m upgrading my review to 4 stars purely on the fact that the company reached out and apologized for the oversight. I went to a different fish store and got what I needed, but the next time I’m in need of supplies I’ll check this place out. ◡̈I don’t want to leave a negative review just on this, but I drove 30 minutes across time just for this store because of its reviews only to find it is closed and locked, but the hours in the door say it should be open, as well as their very own website. I get it’s a possible holiday today, but the store should at least leave a sign on the door, if not update things online.I’m happy to change my review when I get the chance to visit again, but the next closest fish store is another 20+ minutes away so I’m pretty disappointed and a bit irritated.

The owner is super knowledgeable! He is Extremely patient. He has a great selection and if he doesn't have it in, he'll order it for you as soon as possible. He also has a great quarantine period before he has you take your fish home. His tanks are always clean!He has an incredible water system that he will explain his filtration to you when it comes to both his R.O and Salt water. You can always count on his water being as good as it goes when you take it home for your aquarium!I strongly recommend Sea Hare to anyone in San Antonio and it's surrounding area.

Went here to get a couple of fish and left with a whole ecosystem! Was truly in awe of how wonderful the costumer service was from everyone working there but was especially WOW’d by the owner. His care and concern for the people that walk through that door is next level. He spent over an hour with my wife and me, giving us a wealth of knowledge on how to set up and care for both our saltwater and fresh water tanks. He talked about how he cares for his fish and what separates him from other stores. His passion for his business and what he does is very evident. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase and will be going to this store for all of our future aquatic needs.Also, have to mention, that he can even travel to your home to properly set up your tank for you! (For a fee of course but completely worth it!!!)

The Staff at Sea Hare Aquatics is fantastic! Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Ronneil really knows his stuff and truly cares about his customers. I had no prior experience with salt water tanks and they were able to guide me in the right driection and I was able to move the fish and coral from one city to another with no casualties!After the big move I made a mistake and added too much freshwater to the salt water (fish not in yet at this point) and I went back to the store in a mild panic and Christa was able to put out the fire I created, and got my salintiy level to safe again. They even stayed opened late for me. She checked on me throughout the week!The serivce that Sea Hare Aquatics provides is out of this world, and I will continue tod do business with them indefinitely!Now I have a beautiful tank and happy fish!

We love Sea Hare! Ronneil was so helpful! We stopped by the store to request a water sample test and advice for our aquarium. He provided us with expert info and helped us problem solve what our aquarium needed. We were so impressed with his knowledge, and wanted to be sure we were doing everything correctly and not missing anything, so we scheduled a home consultation. We were able to schedule within a week and at a time that worked with our schedules. Ronneil took the time to truly assess our aquarium, talk through the issues and help us come up with a solution. He helped us do an effective water change and provided the products recommended to get back to the strong foundation we needed. I am an avid aquarium enthusiast and I have went to a few aquarium store. This is the only store that I have experienced that has went above and beyond to earn my business. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and what he doesn't know, he will research it and get back to you. Staff is very friendly and professional. Ronniel helped me big time. The AC went out in my house. Ronniel let me borrow an extra chiller he had, for my reef tank, while the one I ordered was being shipped. This is the type of business customers should support! Great variety of salt water fish as well!
