I bought a container with barbacoa from there and when I got home I warmed it up for my son and he was eating it until he choked on a sharp piece of plastic and I went the next day to file a complain manager never did anything about it so he ignored the complain that was a really bad experience for me and my son that has ADHD.THATS ridiculous they are offering me a $30 gift card after I had a panic attack with my bad anxiety after that bad incident. They took months getting in touch with me that’s very dissapointing.

The MERCADO! Despite the fact that there are a lot of lanes open, there are always long lines at this location, which is clearly booming. I hope they have plans to expand because it is always busy. The westside community deserves the meracdo to be upgraded and expanded.

Not a fun time, but there's not much options for groceries in Texas. HEB, Walmart, and....dollar general? Small markets are more common which is good. But I miss having the competition large chains have with each other which create great sale prices and amazing savings with the deals offered weekly. That's why monopolization is frowned upon, and I thought to be illegal....but what can people do when we all just settle to what's offered and not question anything? Patronizing small local markets will help support local owners, keeping your hard earned money in your neighborhood. I should remember to take my own advice more often 🙂

Worker's are scares. Not enough cashiers lines are super long even at self checkout. Cashier and bagger typically are friendly a smile goes a long way 😃❤️ but again there aren't enough of them. Managers didn't seem attentive (this was evening time) Deli doesn't have a variety of a selection more of a lower end brand only hill country no Boar's Head, Butterball or Land O Lakes Deli workers not friendly, as far as produce is concerned ..... I'll just leave it at that. Will some one get this place up to par? This is NOT my H‑E‑B

Lazy bakery dept, I went out of my way to call before I made the drive over there if they had fresh French bread I spoke with the people in the bakery department they told me yes. So I get there and what do you know the whole French bread gondola is completely out of French bread. So I asked the lady that works in the bakery that I called and they told me that they had French bread and which let me tell you is located right in front of workers in the bakery she straight up tells me no there's none. So I asked I called why did you guys tell me there was some. I drove all the way out here the bread section was right in front of you guys. The lady just tried to argue with me about garlic bread. Very frustrating very upset. Most importantly a waste of time.

3 lanes open 2 express lanes Day before Christmas REALLY HEB DO BETTER! Management needs to get on a register too not bagging groceries. Waited in a line for almost 30min to pay for a few items

Today it was very busy about 3ish, and didn't have enough cashiers open. The front line manager only opened one more cashier. Should of opened another. Also a cashier with a 32 years of service spent over 10 minutes haggling a customer with over $250 about a coupon , buy the camino and get free paper plates. It was a 4$ discrepancy. Geeeeeesh! Why didn't she just price adjust or over ride it for CUSTOMER SERVICE.It was way too busy to be messing with that. She should know better after 32 years of service. She seemed awfully confused. Maybe needs to retire.Thank you for your years of service but it may be time to go. I waited patiently and did not complain out of respect for the senior employee but it was very frustrating. 🤷‍♂️*1/29/22Found my taco plates i been looking for ever for these.

Me in particular i don't like to go to this H-E-B only because i hate running into faces i dont want to see and also because the parking lot tends to get super crowded because everyone wants to park near the entrance, as if they have to walk miles and miles away if they park far from the entrance smh ... -_____-

Love this store. If I have trouble finding something I can ask an employee and they steer me in the right direction. Shells fully stocked when I visit. Last night purchased a Crockpot and two pork roast, great deal on the pork.

In town for vacation! Purchased groceries here several times, store will have everything you need, prices not bad. Parking lot dirty needs pressure washing, Lock your car doors lots of homeless around avoid going at night dose not feel clean or safe.

Usually not a long wait in line. Have been shopping here now for almost 3 years, have always found great deals!! Their specials are awesome,buy 1 item, sometimes get up to 5 items for free!! Always great deals!! The produce is consistently very good!! Always have the fresh fruit and vegetable bins stocked very well!! Easy to find most items, if not ask and they will direct you to it or walk you there!! Awesome cashiers, always friendly and smiling!! Really enjoy shopping there!Update, since Covid hit things have changed pretty much everywhere! Cukes were 3/dollar now they are.60 EACH! Avocados are outrageous. They have eliminated many of the get 4-5 items free when select products are bought! Service has stayed at a 8 out of 10 as employees are always helpful! Still one of the only places I buy our groceries! Have never experienced employees in a bad mood! Always very professional! Still recommend it for groceries and misc kitchen utensils, appliances etc... Thumbs up!👍👍👍It has been very different since the so called shortages. Disappointing that they can not keep their brand dog food on the shelves especially being the HEB brand dog food! Very frustrating finding empty shelvesIts after a covid high, things are somewhat back to normal. They dont have as many buy 1 item and get 1-5 items free! They seem to have taken care of their distribution of their brand of dog food. It was a bit frustrating to go there only to find the shelves were empty of their 50 lb. bags of their house brand dry dog food. Had to purchase a variety of different brands which were more expensive and contained less weight by 5-10 lbs and $5-$10 more.On another note, I like their cheez-it style crackers, hav3 bought a box of cheddar flavored and a box of jalapeno and white cheese, the white cheddar are not being inspected for quality. Reason I say this is that the crackers are harder and majority of the crackers are separated in halves, I believe its from baking at too high temp or the dough isnt being mixed correctly before cutting and baking. They are still edible, just the crackers are separated into two halves.😬🙄 not what I pay for! Also the employees seem to be more reserved than before covid. Less willing to assist customers. Still a great place to grocery shop.

We happened to be in the area, so we stopped for "a few" items. I was SO happy to find the huge bag of ready to make tortillas flour (stores who do have thod bags. Sadly, the price has gone up, but it's cheaper than continuing to buy the smaller bags for almost 10.00🤑!!

Among HEBs it's pretty unique, and it carries products that even Central Market lacks. It has its own name and branding, and I've never seen another HEB like it. So for that alone it's pretty great, and I'm surprised that HEB doesn't give it more fanfare or a special name on google. I'm not sure if it's some special type of HEB or utterly unique, but it's neat either way. Aside from all this it's also a large HEB that has a great selection of goods.I actually used to go here all the time with my parents when my abuela and tíos lived in the area, but until recently I hadn't been in over a decade. I went by accident a few months ago, googled "HEB plus near me" and selected the closest option without much thought.To my surprise I was greeted by this strange HEB that I hadn't thought about since I was in middle school instead of an HEB plus, but I ultimately wasn't disappointed. I frequent the place now, it's actually pretty close to where I live, even closer than my usual store.I don't know how this place managed to slip under my radar for so long, but I'm glad I found it because it's fantastic.

Seriously, the greatest grocery store in the country. After recently moving out of state, I think I miss HEB more than my family. The customer service and employees, the prices, the selections, and the combo locos are above incomparable. If you're shopping anywhere else, you're just wrong.
