I take some pride in giving honest reviews either it be a good one or a bad one and with that being said to give a boasting review to the only remaining major grocery chain in town would be in my opinion unjust simply because H.E.B has no competition there was a time when we had multiple grocery chains here including Albertsons, Kroger's, Handy Andy just to name a few , I intentionally left out Walmart and Amazon on purpose because in my opinion they are not truly grocery stores in order for them to be true grocery stores they must gain most of their income roughly 95% from the sale of food items and as far as I know they don't , and so now we are left with 2 options you either shop at HEB or you shop at your neighborhood corner store and until that changes and HEB has some competition the majority of the reviews HEB gets will be of course positive which in my opinion is not really fair and that's not to say HEB doesn't offer great choices in food and discounts etc they do but I feel like we need Another major grocery chain here in the beautiful city of San Antonio to give HEB some comp and lower the cost of food items and those honest reviews they so desperately seek

I don't recommend going to this HEB. They don't have a good variety selection. They didn't have what I needed. Had to go to another HEB that was farther. It doesn't feel safe when there's people hanging out outside the store around the parking area & approach you to ask you for money. The only good thing is that they have a customer service where you can make money orders, pay your light bill, take money out, buy lotto tickets, etc

Today circumstances led me to a visit of the HEB pharmacy. With a last minute prescription transfer to be filled, they were helpful and friendly. This is not my usual location, but I'm glad they were ready to assist. No worries. Thank you.

I just moved to this area. This is the smallest HEB I've been to, but they have everything you need. The employees are all so friendly. The pharmacy employees were extremely friendly as well.

I've noticed a change here and I like it! They've recently added a sushi bar and I love their firecracker roll ! Recommend to try it. Also they've added self check out and a deli !! Still a few kinks to work out but I love the fact they are trying to improve for us customers. BIG Thank you my local HEB !

HEB is HEB.No frills, get what you see and see what you get.Over all they seem to be taking care of their employees during this Covid pandemic while other businesses have shuttered and are faltering.HEB has a strong hold on the grocery business in town and abroad.Social Distancing rules and guidelines are in place.

But he sent wrong amount but mgr started asking me questions that werent part of her policy more harrassing and accusing like im trying to recieve evil money. This is the selection on the 25ozBefore the crowd that hangs out across the street would continuously come into the store to buy their choice of beverage, and use the restroom and cause a scene sometimes, it wouldn’t be rare that they would be denied the chance to buy alcohol being they would look intoxicated, so just saying that this is the selection so you are not disappointed for going in here, the restrooms aren’t locked anymore because the drinkers don’t enter as much #211

Bernard and Jarvelle (in produce) were very helpful and polite. Michelle, in the 10 items or less, was just as help and nice. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely go back!!I give these 3 employees a 10+

What has happened to the sushi?? Ever since they changed the people who make the sushi the quality has really fallen off a cliff.The new people are unfriendly and no longer greet you and just have airpods on so you can't even ask them if they have the ingredients to make nigri.The sushi is now mushy and unsure what they did to the wasabi/horseradish???? It now looks like green slime.

It's always stocked, and clean, great customer service, and the music is good too. All the employees are kind and helpful.They do have a security guard at the front door at all times, probably not the classiest part of town, but if you're used to the city life, then it is what it is.

If I didn't need something in an emergency, I would definitely not go to this location. They don't keep up with their prices and make it seem as if you changed the price instead of checking and honoring the said price of your items. I was overcharged for one item and when she rung up another item, she said it was wrong and put it the correct price according to her which ended up $3 dollars more. I said that's the price and she said well they're tagged wrong. Not my fault they were tagged incorrectly, I changed my mind on that item. Clearly not a good place to do your shopping. I do not recommend going there to do your shopping. Not very helpful associates. If I could post this with a zero star, or even a minus star I would!

Number one: people who work there are extremely rude and unhelpful. Number two: All of the prices(for the quantity of product you get) are outrageously high, Number three: I bought a container of Carne guisada, paid $10.00 for it...got it home and discovered when I opened the container thar there was ONLY THREE SMALL PIECES OF MEAT inside the entire container. WHAT A RIP OFF! I PAID 10.00 FOR THAT? And the meat prices really are outrageously high and the meat quality terrible. I buy my meat from a strictly meat market(butcher shop). I'm going back to doing my grocery shopping at WALMART!Last week or so, I contacted heb corporate office regarding a complaint against their store on North New braunfels ave. in San antonio Texas. Just like the management team at that store, the corporate office did NOTHING about my complaint. They said that they would investigate my complaint(that by the way was witnessed and verified by another customer), and that they would get back to me, but not one person from the corporate office has kept their word.. they never got back to me which tells me they never investigated the complaint at all either. HEB is the worst business ever! If I could rate them a zero...I would, they don't even warrant a rating of 1.Really, this is all I get for the complaint filed " thank you for letting us know what you experienced?"...no " would you like to call (give number) me to discuss this matter further", no " we will look into this matter thoroughly" no " we take customer complaints seriously and will do everything in our power to resolve this issue so that it never happens again", no nothing but a plain "thank you f letting us know what you experienced". Wow, shows how much even the owner or corporate office of HEB REALLY value there customers! This business is extremely horrible! The homeless population that are around that store are nicer than ANYONE from HEB period!July 21, 2023....NEW REVIEWI have gone into this store multiple times(today being most recent to purchase cigarettes that are advertised for one price, but ring up at a higher price and when I ask that they be given to me for the lower advertised price, I get attitudes from the employees who want to tell me they can't do that.. it is not the customers fault that these idiots can not price things correctly. It does no good to file a complaint with the corporate office because they change NOTHING, NO MATTER WHAT THE COMPLAINT IS! Therefore, I am just going to post on social media for the world to see for NO ONE TO GO INTO THAT STORE! It does no good to complain to management(I've been to them too many times, as well as their corporate office and still nothing has changed. i go into that store every single day and there are only 5 people in that entire store who treats me with respect. Rudy, Vangie, Michelle, Bill(store manager), one other sweet young lady (whose name I do not know). Everyone else, including store security officers are rude as heck!

Cops should be picking up the guys who they are always drinking on public across street... it feels like is not law around there...Also the woman who is giving the refills looks and acts extra ghetto, which is no need for that at pharmacy.

This location lacks so many options for families and is arguably unsafe at almost all times during day & night. If you can put money into the Stone Oak and Lincoln Heights locations(which already were decent before), you can do better to customers in less prestigious neighborhoods and provide better quality services. Two stars because the employees are great.

My son who’s 9 had a sprained ankle I had a parked pretty far I told him maybe I can use one of these scooters since the parking was ways from the door as he’s using it some lady locked the scooter twice she was wearing a purple shirt n she claimed my boy was playing on it ! And she proceeded to shoo him off it mid parking lot ! This was embarrassing and I didn’t think she should’ve done that my son is now hurting from walking on his rolled ankle. Not to mention I was in express lane for 30 minutes with only one item . Will definitely be going too my original H‑E‑B on Pleasanton

Not too big of a store as all the other ones, but they basically have what you need as far as food and drinks good prices on their Products. friendly service throughout the store and fast check out. That is one of the biggest pluses.

Everything isn't better here. Food prices are twice as high as Walmart. Only thing worth buying out of here is fresh produce and select meats. Not enough lines open. People eating out of grapes and bananas not paying. Like I don't want to buy food someone else has already eaten out off. Bought some spring mix out of here and it was already bad got one salad out whole container. They don't rotate products. Really needs help

BEWARE ! DONT BUY FORMULA FROM HEREUnfortunately we didn’t notice the expiration date so we went through a bottle and we threw the receipt away then we noticed the EXPIRATION DATE !! We called this HEB in hopes that they would apologize but no apology!
