Soup Counter: My main gripe is a perceived lack of ability/willingness to assist customers.On three occasions, I've requested the staff nearest the soup counter restock depleted soups, spoons, or soup cups. Most of the time, these items are stocked. The few times they aren't, I've struggled to get any help, if at all. I've been handed off from employee to employee, up to four, with not one of them offering assistance. It was another employee in passing who helped me. In total, it took about three different requests and fifteen minutes to get a stack of large soup cups restocked.This most recent visit, the soup spoons were empty. I asked the nearest employee for help. He said the spoons in the dining area were the same type and to use those. They are not the same. The soup spoons are heat resistant and won't sag or bend from the heat of the soup. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and checked. The spoons were not the same as the heat resistant type. I asked the lady behind the BBQ area food counter for spoons. She reiterated that they are the same spoon. I told her they are not. She simply said that was all they had. I sensed a general unwillingness to offer more assistance, so I left. My soup was in hand since I had already served it, but I had no spoon.On the best occasion, I asked the staff to refill one of the empty soups. He acknowledged me, then walked away. About eight minutes later, I asked another employee for help. Seven minutes later, the second employee was able to bring out more soup. Admittedly, they may have been preparing the soup for the fifteen minutes, but I had no way of knowing, so I asked a second time.I've been coming here for lunch for months, but now will likely be going to one of the nearby local Tex-Mex restaurants for soup from now on.

Poor service at best. I bought the 2 brisket dips that were 30 bucks and it came with a coupon to get free chips, heb flavored water, a small mustard, and sausage. At checkout, I gave the cashier the coupons and asked him if he input them and he didn't. I noticed at home that I was charged for all those items but I live 35 minutes away so I had to wait until the next chance I went to San Antonio. I called the manager and he said to just take the receipt. Unfortunately, the offer was only valid for the following day, and due to other issues, I was not able to go. In addition, I bought four- 6 packs of litter and a half of alkaline water which is very expensive, and noticed that one of the bottles was sealed but empty in one of the six packs. I will not be going back nor recommend this HEB. The 299 dollars I spent last Friday was the last I'll ever spend at that HEB

HEB always has fresh products in all departments. I was really disappointed when I visited another large chain super store nearby. They had a lot of expired items on the shelves. HEB is the best! 😁

Mona Lisa is a cashier who made my purchase quick and convenient. It was packed and I was in a hurry. She was pleasant, good at her job, and spread her good attitude, which is rare among most people you interact with, much less with those who are at work. She will help you out and leave you with a friendly feeling.

It was always nice. Gas ⛽️ is a little pricey, that's everywhere. And inside is always a great experience. I go in for a couple of items come out with a basket ful! Clean, and the people are always ready to help you. I would recommend it..

No place like HEB. No matter how terribly busy they are & customers everywhere, they always go out their way to assist you. I needed curbside, an item I ordered & needed they were out of. They went to see if they had something I could substitute.Took my # went checked items still available, found something that was close, called me & replaced it in my basket for pick up. ALWAYS, ALWAYS go the extra mile. Love the wonderful Ladies in the bakery & folks in the deli.

Great HEB store to grocery shop, clean and organized with staff that are always nearby to help. Easy to go down aisles and find everything. Enough cashier's that your waiting is minimal.

9/1/2022. I would like coming here past yrs but the stores not so kind anymore not enough warm hearted in customer service and especially ially the rational increased prices , even though the inflation is surmounted the prices are over priced and gas can be lowered but eggs are ridiculously priced and really go other places are worth buying Walmart gets more of my business as I would rather come here, plus they havhafrezhmade tortillas that are actually really better better than those of heb, kid you not and cheaper.7.30.21Its not hard to get a plate of food but food here is not worth getting. Was great at times in past, Asked for cut on my sausage, partly and poorly done, not even chicken was great, tortillas are not warmed up to goodness, really not worth getting here, rude customer service. Grill area is lagging. Didn't enjoy the food and won't get it again there. I usually say to the person fixing food but wS rude ,sono,so no, eating my time. Employees not so friendly anymore, especially the customer service area, very rude.It's kinda harder now to get assistance and almost all the time I check my receipt they forget my Coupons or fail. To try to greet you and they need really to Work on cleaning restrooms that are really not so clean still bad odors and even when told they do not keep clean or sanitize as often.

HEB is the h-u-b of the city! I'm always impressed with everything in the bakery, especially the beautifully decorated cakes. There's a great selection of kitchen implements. The deli is well stocked with handy tasty offerings. And of course the aisles of groceries are available and are reasonably priced.

Since I moved here from Northern states. Walmart and Cash Wise Foods is where I would get my groceries. Cub foods was too unorganized, for me and the prices were more like California prices. Now my new home is Texas! And my first visit to an HEB has I was driving I Saw so many people walking in and the traffic was crazy. I was thinking what is all the Hullabaloo about. So just like all these Texans I made my way thru all the traffic. Found a spot clear across, outside the store. At a HEB gas station 😁🤣 I come inside and it was heaven inside like when you go to Heaven and you have the red carpet laid for you my first Looksee was produce. And all the people walking fast in front of me like busy 🐜 trying to get the last food before winter. 😁 this was a super center nothing like I every saw. From the looks of all the cation with traffic. It looked more like a mall! But without the escalators. I felt like a Hillbilly coming down from the hills going into a Dave& Busters. Saying to my sibling . Look at all these purrrdy 💡 lights. That was my impression of how. I divorced myself from Walmart! Be a Hillbilly get amassed with HEB. You will save money. Just be quick and fall in line or these Texans will run your behind with them 🛒s

The female manager at this location today ruined my trip.shopping by stopping me and my disabled daughter as we were going out the door as we were walking out.As security was standing there all that time. She said something about us checking in at the central checkout. I had paid for everything at self checkout then went outside to buy crawfish then went inside to pay for it and a soda.at a self checkout register. Everything was paid for as usual. So I don't know what and why this time I was stopped going out and asking to see receipts. It never happened here before. So why today. I don't understand.

I love this HEB! There's actually one closer to where I live but I make the trip over here because it has now become MY HEB for a number of reasons despite the extra mileage. Parking is a major factor and they have plenty of it. I also feel like they have a larger variety than the one closer to me and I like the layout as well. This might seem odd but I really enjoy seeing the k9 security too. And the proximity to Lackland just makes me feel safe even if I might not actually be. The employees at this location are also very polite and friendly.

This HEB has fake Cops or Security that think they're cops and bother people in the parking lot that are taking a break for personal reasons. You should reprimand these ill trained Security that are looking to get shot or shoot someone over Food products. A police report was filed for what reason we'll have to see. I have an idea though.

Awesome Heb store I called and placed an order from Corpus Christi for my visit to San Antonio for a cake. I ordered an Air Force emblem cake. It was beautiful. Bakery employees were very helpful. Thank y’all.

Have heard a lot of good things about this store. While visiting Texas, I made sure to stop in. Lots of items catering to the ethnicity of the area and we were thrilled! Otherwise, happily comparable to our store back home. Very happy to have this store available to us during our stay. Our cashier was super!!

I have had bad experiences at this store. A couple of times I wondered if I was invisible when staff waited on and helped other customers move ahead of me in line. For example, opening a new line and inviting the people behind me to move over too it as it was being opened. Once, a coincidence. Twice? Not so easy to forgive.

I'd give it 5 stars cause I love my H-E-B but each and every time I get the already made jalapenos bombers , the cream cheese is no good . It always turns into this dark brown color and taste off after it's out of the oven. End up throwing the whole batch away.

I’ve shopped at this store since I moved here for work in June. I have one leg and I am handicapped, At first I thought it was all just coincidence. After multiple instances of employees not willing to show me where goods are located, employees walking away from the checkout line after bagging groceries for other individuals, the rude behavior and indifference when employees bump into me or totally ignore me at the meat market and choose to serve other people who do not look like me, I can’t help but wonder if the reason is glaringly obvious. Being that I spend at least 200 dollars every time I come here, it’s safe to say I will be taking my business elsewhere. It’s 2023, you’d think society would have more compassion and professionalism while in a work environment. It’s not just the employees either, the patrons show obvious disregard as if I’m not even there. The individuals bump into my cart, push past me in line, let their kids run into me or run up to my service animal without even an apology. 0/10 would not recommend for white individuals.

The H.E.B nearest to me, valley high with a pharmacy I've been going to over 5 years, most employees are polite and helpful. Very few see me as of I'm goin to steal 🤔, I'm not sure..maybe the way i dress..,other then that. Very comfortable there.

Didn’t accept any form of contactless payment as their website states they do. Lost my wallet and I’m over 1500 miles from home. My son was willing to give his card info over the phone but they refused as the card must be present to be manually entered. Guess they can put my items back and I’ll go find a store that accepts contactless payment so I can pay with my phone. Also, who closes at 9pm on a Saturday night? I’m from a town of population 45k and our grocery stores don’t close until 11pm or are 24 hours. San Antonio, TX HEB you are lacking.
