This place saved our shih Tzu from an awful experience with a mobile-groomer in town. We gave the mobile groomer a shot, and the end result was a horrible cut, inconsistent and patchy, barley trimmed nails, and did not trim the hair around her eyes. She literally could not see.After looking online we found Galactic Grooms and knew this was the place that was qualified to save our pup’s awful cut.From scheduling to pickup this place was phenomenal, and extremely budget friendly - prices vary by size of pup. Without a doubt, we will be making this our go-to for grooming and pet care.When I walked in, other customers were hyping this place up and letting me know they’ve been coming for years and that i wouldn’t regret it and man we’re they right!! 10/10 recommend!Brandon was incredible. I would like to thank Joe and Amanda from Galactic Grooms. We mentioned that we had a bad experience with the last grooming business we went to. After speaking to owners we were confident to give them a shot. We dropped off Mika today and left very happy and impressed with the overall service, affordable price, and not to mention how they explained everything in detail from start to finish. Our pet breetriedd is one of the most difficult to groom and Galactic Grooms did a very exceptional job. Their expertise is amazing. We are looking forward to our next visit.I tried to post a picture of before and after but was not successful.

I have been taking my shih tzu Riley here for a few months now. They do an incredible job, and are pretty quick! He enjoys going there and I trust them to do a great job every time! My brother also brings his dog here. Highly recommend bringing your pets to the groomers here!

Love it!!! Every time I take my Buster (miniature schnauzer) to the groomers here they take such good care of him. They’re so helpful and knowledgeable with any concern that I have. Extremely careful with Buster, because he is pretty old. They also express concerns if they ever have to cut him a little short. Because he does get matted at home sometimes.

We have had some terrible experiences with groomers. My JaiJai is a very friendly Shitzu. We could not understand why, after each grooming, she was depressed and sad for days. The last time, they burned her skin. The grooming stopped. My hubby found Galactic Grooms and took her in. She came home happy and ready to play. She has never looked this beautiful. We are so grateful. The prices are reasonable. The customer service is excellent. If we could give them 10 Stars, we would.

I take my 2 Shih tzu and they always come back looking and smelling great. These are my fur babies so I absolutely wanted to make sure that they go to a good groomer after all the horror stories I’ve heard. My female has been there since she was a pup (she’s a year old now) and my male has been a few times since I got him as a pup. (I try to go monthly to keep up with them especially in this Texas heat.) Each time we get there they are so excited, which lets me know they feel comfortable and are treated well here.

Walked in at exactly 0900 when I was scheduled, and the staff was prompt, courteous, and detailed in gathering information on what my preferences were for my two fur babies. I have a young cocker spaniel who tends to get scared when not around my husband and I. As well as a senior chihuahua who is completely blind. I was notified by the staff in about 2.5 hours that my dogs were ready. They both returned happy and very well groomed. My cocker is hard to blend his fur, I'm very picky who grooms him because we have not always had good results. I'm super excited that this business is located near the mission district and an outstanding business. The prices are very good. I asked for a few extra treatments for my dogs, and I still paid less than I normally do elsewhere. I highly recommend this groomer. I intend to make them my full-time groomer.

New location is TRASH. Stick with Brandon. The lady messed up our dog’s hair and charged $80. Don’t go there, save your money. Better off going to Pets Smart.

When I say they did a fabulous job I mean it! Our pup was so matted and over grown. The last groomer at Hollywood pups did an awful job. THIS groomer from Galatia’s did a fantastic job. Our Nyla has never looks so great!10/10 worth every penny!

I’ve been taking my cocker spaniel to another place for years and had a bad experience. Called these guys at 12:00, they got her in, full package and she was done in a couple of hours! The turn around is amazing! Loved that they understood what I was wanting and they did exactly that! I think we found our new groomer! Thank you!

We’ve been taking our two dogs elsewhere for years, but that place keeps one employee that consistently treats people badly. I can only assume he treats our dogs badly when we’re not there. So we looked for a place nearby. Galactic Grooms was the place we were looking for!People who aren’t familiar with the area may think it unsafe. It isn’t. I’ve been around this area for most of my life. Although it may not have the size and displays of a chain pet store, Galactic Grooms has it where it counts: quality work with a kind, personable touch. They treated our two pets warmly and gently. That’s most important. But they were also kind and patient with us, which is just superior service.The prices are very reasonable. The service is quality. We have found our new place, and I would encourage others to try it out!

I took my 2 dogs in for their first visit with them. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They did an awesome job. We got the basic package which included shampoo, cut, blueberry facial, nail trimming, etc. When we picked them up they looked pawfect and smelled so good. They both had a handkerchief to top off their glam look. Also, their fur coat is so silky and soft. We took them to a big named company a few months ago to get groomed and was charged the same amount but ,well we didn't go back to them so that should say alot. I would recommend Galactic grooms especially if you want your money's worth. Thank you guys!

My three dogs just had their 2nd visit. I love these people..I was a few minutes late and was not scolded!! My dogs weren't nervous leaving my side at all. I love the staff for not shaming me after taking one look at the matted fur or much too long toe nails. I appreciate their kindness and understanding of how hard it is to be a pet mom and to afford grooming all 3 at the same time. I chose these folks the 1st time because of their fantastic reviews. I've just finished up my second glorious review of their irreplaceable service to fur baby owners! Thank you!!!

I absolutely love this groomer. I have 5 shih tzu and they have already done wonders with 4 of them. I am very pleased. Even with one of my pups, being his first grooming session and biting. The staff was so nice and calm, just asked that I send over shot records immediately. No one was to blame and everyone was fine. He was just scared. He came out great. I couldn't take picture of my other dogs after groomer they don't know how to stay still. I wish I would've found this place along time ago. Definitely my preferred business for grooming.

Brandon at Galactic Grooms takes such good care of my dog every time! My dog can be a bit anxious and they are always so patient and gentle with her. Aside from her coat and nails looking great afterwards, my mind is at ease knowing that she is being well taken care of. Great attention to detail as well!

Took my dog here today because she was magically COVERED in FLEAS! They are so bad this year! Anyways, the owner was so super nice! Her and her huband work together, he supplies the all natural flea shampoo n repellant and she does the grooming. She did an excellent job and I will return!!!

I’d been taking my baby to Petco forever and the always cut him... & leave long patches of hair I just never really liked the way they took care of my baby, I brought Harley here and AMAZING! The cut was great, the bath was awesome, he smelt great for almost 2 weeks... it’s been almost month already and he still looks good & paws are still soft! I highly recommend this place! The owners are very respectful and friendly and they really do go the extra mile, well worth what I paid for the total package.
