Really useful location it's a cash deposit site for cashapp, near and HEB near some fast food restaurants, they even have a machine that literally offers a price for an old phone you have. Staff is great and store interior looks nice I just think they're understaffed, but overall it's great!

We were visiting for the weekend and stopped here for drinks. We went at night and the neighborhood seemed sketchy and scary. The store definitely needs to be cleaned and organized. We got our drinks and hurried out, I was so ready to get out of the store. The parking lot is very poorly lit which isn't good. One thing that was a plus is the cashier was very friendly.

Great location. Has some pet items that are hard to find even at big retail such as HEB and Walmart. Items are priced competitive. Even found 2X T-shirts at sale price. Lot of items now hard to find such as variety of curtain rods and bath items. Handicap friendly as is staff.

Panhandlers are always set up outside, So Uncomfortable.No customer service, very cluttered aisles.Feel for the people in wheel chairs because they would have difficulty going through certain aisles. My family was followed & watched when leaving the store. The lady literally stood at the door & stared at us as we got in my car.Next time I will go out of my way to visit wallgreens next door and take my business there.

A good place to get cheap random stuff, especially household items. It has been recently remodeled as of early March 2021and it is a complete 180 transformation from the dingy set up. I have never been approached by a begger. There are homeless people in that area of N.New Braunfels and E.Houston St.

Hated it. They suck the Dollar General on newbraunsvill. Had this employee working last nite that was just rude and disrespectful.i wouldn't not recommend the attitude and snobby looks there. Even shaped a picture if her.

Manager didn't want to give me my money back when an employee let my balloons for a birthday party fly off in the air. I know it was a accident but I over heard her say , oh well we did give her some helium we did our part!

Walked in at 1:10 pm stood at counter to place backpack behind counter saw no one attending cash register counter and looked over to right and said hello in friendly manner and. Floor mgr Sasha says mam you have to leave bag behind counter and i replied yes mam im waiting for you to place behind counter for me with friendly smile she seemed upset she walks up and takes my bag from my hand with this mean look on her face. I say thankyou mam and she responds in a mean and disrespectful look. And i respond wow i walked around side looking at her wondering why she feels that way towards me and she looks up at me and asked mam are you ok. She didn't let me finish with my question she says you can get your bag and get if you want to. And i removed my sunglasses and say say with a friendly smile mam what would you like me to do. She says here's your bag and get out. I said Thankyou and asked her name and number to file a complaint. I felt judge against, discriminated against and felt as if she stereotype me. I don't appreciate being treated as a disrespectful theif. Don't know what Sasha is going through today but its not fair to paying customers who consider this dollar general as neighborhood store its convenient for me and my family. I didn't appreciate being stereotyped at all. Sasha does not at all have Quality Customer skills and feel as Sasha needs to be fired how many older people she disrespects like that.

Unorganized, rude staff and always packed but that's due to show employees. It's also very shady outside. Always getting harassed by homeless people & druggies. Parking is good but that's about it.

It's in walking distance to my home and there's never a long line. I've had 6 major back surgeries and I can't stand for a long time plus they have everything I need close to home and the people that work there are very friendly

The cashier is discriminatory. If you really have to use the restroom they expect you to shop and urinate in the aisles. I was going to shop here, but I'll just shop somewhere else because I really have to use the restroom.
