Train your employees to read back the orders because the girl didn’t include my cappuccino. They should compensate for mistake instead of telling me to go back to order the cappuccino and pay for it.Also, school the young employees on customer service.Pastry wasn’t fresh.Also why is there a blue tooth radio on behind counter while cafe has music on? Maybe that’s why she didn’t hear order correctly.Also, fried egg on avocado toast was overcooked no runny yolk. At the Davis location it’s always runny.

Love love love the vibes of this place! Ample seating, great drinks, and incredible vibes. Service was good as well. Definitely recommend for an after-Elsewhere visit for some java or tea. We tried the matcha latte and a hibiscus tea.Parking: Parking garage within walking distance. First and fifth floor only.

Neat and decorative place! Enjoyed it so much. Food and drinks were good. The staff were really friendly. Stayed for work and study. Many people there. The one table in the upstairs was wobbly and loose, and I asked staff to see if they could fix it since all tables were full. They did not have tools to fix it. Luckily, the staff was helpful, she found a table for me to find a spot to sit and work. I would love to come back in future.

Had a chance to swing by Commonwealth this afternoon. Had a raisin roll and cappuccino. So good ☺️ The environment was nice and elegant, but cozy enough to sit and work on some projects while enjoying the culture and vibe. They also have an outdoor patio area for those who enjoy being outside. I of course was not gonna do that in today’s hot weather. 😅 But I can see where I would be sitting out there in the fall season for sure!!

Whilst out wandering the neighborhood that this hidden gem is located in, I was trying to go to the San Antonio Museum of Art and found it to be closed on Monday. I was feeling hungry and in need of a good drink and some great food. I happened upon Commonwealth coffee house just by chance and decided to give it a try. The Cubano Sandwich is out of this world and the fresh squeezed lemonade coupled with a jigger of Aviation Gin hit the spot. Paired nicely together and found the place to be peaceful and quiet in an otherwise fast and bustling part of San Antonio. I would highly recommend stopping by for a coffee or lunch anytime you are in the area.

The moment I walked in I was quickly greeted warmly and felt welcomed. Given that Common Wealth has multiple locations, the ambiance of this gem (JONES) truly highlights its architectural structures that San Antonio offers and creates a one of a kind dining experience. The food is impeccable but not as great as the customer service and attention to detail.-P.S. The iced White Mocha Macadamia Latte is fantastic!

Great when it’s not busy. As soon as the place fills up a bit, the kitchen struggles to keep up with orders, and the staff struggle to keep up with bussing and wiping down tables. In the end, waited 35min for a sandwich and did my best to wipe down a dirty/sticky table to eat, but the order was wrong. The team offered to remake the order or refund it, so I took the refund rather than waiting another 30min. They were friendly and apologetic, but I still ended up paying $6.25 (w/tip) for a 12oz house coffee.The staff are super sweet and nice; I think they are just struggling a bit with the system. They spend a LOT of time searching for the right customer to deliver food to, based on their numbering system. But with an upstairs, an outside, and a main area, staff often spend a lot of time connecting food to guests, resulting in cold food and staff not having time to clean down tables.

The coffee and ambience here is so good I wish the customer serviced matched. I usually put up with the rude service because I enjoy the drinks but today was beyond my limits.TO START The barista was in complete lalaland and could have not cared less about my order. I repeated our drinks multiple times and he could not get it together.THEN a different barista hands us our drinks and they’re ALL wrong.HESITANT, because I don’t want to inconvenience the employees, I tell her the drinks are wrong. She RUDELY tells me she’ll remake them, making it clear how unhappy she is to do it. She returns 10 seconds later saying she’s out of regular milk and only has oatmilk or almond milk. Giving us no options but to deal with our terribly awful drinks.SO NOW here we all are drinking the wrong drinks THE CHERRY on top. The constant need of the employees to remind us they’re closing in 10 mins. THANK YOU we are well aware from the first mention.A NOTE TO THE OWNER the employees at this location are not there to help thrive your business.

I was so underwhelmed with this coffee spot. The pictures look so fabulous and that it is not. We came Sat morning around 9am, there were no pastries set out in the window, the place was dirty, everyone seemed very unhappy and rushed but it wasn't busy at all. The area/station where the sugar and straws are needs to be bigger. There's a small little trash can the size of a coke can. For as trendy this place is, y'all have no stevia or monkfruit? Come on. The outside tables and chairs were filthy. I know it had been raining the day before but it was nice out, a worker should've cleaned the outside knowing people would want to sit outdoors. Meh.

Love the interior design, and indoor and outdoor spaces! Elegant, relaxed, tasteful and hip. Staff are very friendly, helpful, proactive, and go out of their way to provide excellent service. Great to have this quality coffee cafe literally a half block from apt building in this neighborhood space that had been empty for over 1.5 yrs. A few opening suggestions: add a small trash can near the coffee condiments and/or bins for dirty dishes; be sure to wipe down tables and seats in the outdoor courtyard daily; add fat free milk option for healthier coffee; add a dark roast daily coffee option. Food is good, but my french toast was a bit too dark with burnt carbon - best to turn down the heat for more even cooking. Highly recommend this location!

I’ve stopped by a few times now. From the French toast, the chicken salad, to the pastries and a few of the breakfast sandwiches, I can confidently say that the food is delicious and at a surprisingly reasonable price.Black coffee comes with free refills which is nice, as there are quite a few comfy places to sit and camp out (and decent Wi-Fi). In milder weather, the outdoor patio will be incredible. The selection of teas isn’t extensive, but adequate. I did not try any alcoholic beverages but they are available.The service was fast and friendly. This will be quite the neighborhood morning spot, I anticipate and if you couldn’t tell by now, I obviously plan on going back.

Went here for breakfast today, and the cook was texting the entire time she was cooking, and then was touching the food with her bare hands. Touching the phone, and then touching the food with your bare hands is not hygienic at all, and quite disturbing. I won't be eating at this establishment.
