Cute little spot with beautiful outdoor seating. My cappuccino was on point and the omelette also very good. The potatoes were crispy and delicious. Portion sizes were on the smaller side compared to other breakfast places so we didn’t get super full and needed a snack before lunch time (lots of walking that day). Service was great. Overall nice place for breakfast or brunch!

What a cute little coffee shop. Came in. Sat down. The table was dirty. Ok no problem. They forgot. Went to order. Ask to have the table clean. Person was very nice and said. Will go do it. Sat down again. Got our coffee. Very good latte. My friend loved his Ici coffee. No one to be seen to wash table. Got up ask to use the towel and did it myself. I guess she was busy because when I went up the second time. She was playing on her phone.Got the 4 dollar side salmon and it was so small. Not recommended.Had the croque madame. Would have been good with more sauce. Was very dry.Finished our meal. Talked after for 15 min. No one came to clear the table. More phone time for the staff i guess. Cause this place was not that busy. Not for me.

Came here for Sunday morning brunch. I ordered a caramel latte (hot) and the hand and cheese sandwich with béchamel on croissant. Both were absolutely delicious. The sandwich can with a side salad. The employees were super nice. The inside was super modern with hints of farms house chicken pictures etc.). $15 total for both. There is also outdoor seating as well. With a park nearby this would be a great place to grab a coffee and go for a walk. Overall highly recommend this brunch spot. If i lived in the area, so would be a frequent customer.Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs to enter

Cute little place and I ordered the salmon avocado toast and their eclipse latte, I loved both, but the matcha latte was SO BAD, tasted like grass, cannot recommend less. Overall good place, just do not order the matcha

Great location with really peaceful and relaxing ambiance both in and outdoors. The staff were really outgoing and friendly. The food here was really good and the presentations are really nice. The coffee was really good!My only complaint would be timeliness on food. It was a tad long, and the eggs were kind of on the cold side. We all have off days, so I wouldn't let it discourage me from coming back here again. The menu has some really great offerings that made making a decision difficult to settle on. I wanted 3 different breakfast items and a lunch item.

Coffee and breakfast are always great here. Gave the 4 because the coffee game is tough. I would go to commonwealth anytime. We have just had exceptional coffee. This place has wonderful baked goods, coffee is consistent, and the staff are very kind. Breakfast croissant, iced vanilla latte, and a hot latte with simple syrup in the photos. Comfortable seating. Beautiful outdoor area when the weather is nice. Definitely worth a stop if looking for good food and coffee.

When walking downtown, we happened upon the Commonwealth Coffeehouse and decided to stop for lunch. We were happy we did! The food was delicious! My sister had an omelette, my nephew had French toast, and I had the breakfast tacos with egg and spinach. The eggs were so fluffy! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxed but still nice. If you sit outside, you feel like you're sitting in your backyard. They serve mimosas and wine (I think beer, but I'm not sure. My sister saw someone with a beer bottle, so it's possible). I'd definitely recommend this coffeehouse!

Loved the atmosphere. Set in a lovely park downtown close to hotels. Was an easy and nice walk. Friendly service and there were a few vegan options on the menu. I got the avocado toast and it was delicious. The bread tasted so fresh and amazing; it elevated a simple avocado toast a lot. Coffee was great too, would definitely go back.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian stuff was labeled, and a few things are easy to make vegan or are already vegan.

The food was good, and the space was clean. Their menu is not accurate and the person taking orders isn't aware of variances in their menu. Their menu says "weekends" that a French Omelette has potatoes and French bread, but it came with neither. When I asked, they said that on weekends this menu item doesn't come with either of the aforementioned, yet on the menu it quite literally says... "weekend brunch." I don't agree with this culture of tipping before any work has been performed and food delivered. I usually opt to tip regardless, but when the people working here don't mention what I ordered doesn't come with two main parts of the FRENCH omelette...

Update:Tried the lunch options, and sandwiches were so delicious. Recommend the Turkey Avocado and anything on a croissant. If I could give 5+++++ I would! Excellent and friendly customer service folks, fantastic breakfast options, and the vibes are on point. Lots of parking options nearby for not too much $$.

First timer!!! and let me tell you, I absolutely love it!!. I ordered a blueberry cream cheese danish and it BLEW MY MIND!!! It was $6 and DEFINITELY worth it. The Danish was super fluffy and soft, the sweetness of the cream was perfect and the blueberries were deliciously fresh. I could eat this every morning for breakfast with my coffee and not care about the calories*chefs kiss all the way around*I also had the pleasure of sampling the Iced Sin Nombre Latte and it was very very delicious.. Starbucks who? Commonwealth Coffeehouse is A MUST TRY!!! The service was amazing, the cashier was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. He had an awesome personality and was very welcoming(I love great customer service). If you're in the San Antonio area please swing by the Commonwealth Coffeehouse for great coffee, amazing pastries and awesome vibes!!

Great spot for coffee. Love the vibe in here. They have a nice indoor and outdoor seating. The pastries were really good especially the yummy croissants. I really enjoyed it! They make good coffee as well. They have a nice selection of food too if you’d like something more filling. Highly recommend this place!

I'm only in town for a few days and found this place near my hotel. I ordered the avocado toast, which was loaded with avocado, and it was delicious! It was well seasoned, and the bread was toasty. I didn't take pics of the other dishes, but heard the croissants were amazing! This is a really cute coffeehouse with good food and coffee/lattes. Way better than whats served at my hotel. I'll be back tomorrow!

I can’t begin to explain how much this place is such a vibe on a weekend morning where it’s good weather. Food is good and service is better.Dietary restrictions: If you’re lactose intolerant, they can work around it when it comes to their food like scrambled eggs.

Delicious Father’s Day Brunch with our daughter’s. The vanilla latte was terrific, the French toast was amazing, the breakfast taco was yummy and the omelette sandwich was delicious! We sat outside enjoyed having a covered umbrella patio and the outdoor ambience is relaxing.Parking: There is a parking garage in close proximity to the restaurant. There is also paid parking across the street.

Long wait to order and just as long for food to arrive. ABSOLUTELY no system for sitting or ordering it’s literally a free for all. If it’s busy (we went around 12:30), you are on your own to try and get a table when someone gets up, doesn’t matter how long you have been waiting! Now to the food. The food looks very nice but taste very bland. My photos look very sad, if you look closely you can see the food asking for help 😂. So if you are into looks more than taste then this is for you, pinky up style!

We only had coffee and other beverages. The hot chocolate was a big hit and was topped by steamed milk. The lemonade was rated as top notch and tasted like it was made with fresh ingredients. This place also serves beer and wine and pastries. We weren’t interested in the food, so I can’t say what was on the menu. The building is either an old, original building or built to look like it. The indoor furnishings were beautiful. We rhapsodized over the door to the back area, where there were numerous tables amid trees and flowering shrubs. We mainly sat on the front porch while we drank.

Such a Dream! Delicious coffee, great view, wonderful pastry smell, and delicious breakfast.Commonwealth creates a home away from home feel at all their locations, from the china to the decor. The breakfast tacos are the most adorable and filling in the city; and the lattes are made well-balanced, and not too sweet. This located in Hemisfair Park, close to the '68 apartments, across the street from the Fairmount Hotel, and about a 7 minute walk from the Riverwalk.Dietary restrictions: Some Gluten-Free Options

Cute historic home conversion right in the heart of San Antonio. Easy to access but not a lot of parking. There are a few 30 minute parallel spots in front of the building, but longer term parking is in a paid garage next door. The ambience is very inviting with an open kitchen space and seating in the front, back and inside.Their coffee was yummy with some unique flavor combinations- I got a spiced Caramel white chocolate iced mocha latte at 1/2 sweet and it was delicious!!The quiche Lorraine was OK. The crust was not light and flaky l, and the cheese seemed like shredded. On the other hand, the chocolate cinnamon roll was lovely. Soft in the middle, a good balance of cinnamon and chocolate.Definitely a place worth checking out! I'll be back to try some other dishes for sure :)
