Atmosphere isn’t bad for typical grab and go service. I think it’s charming how they use celebrities to call out orders, although it can be very hard to hear when it’s loud.I got the chicken sandwich, which was probably not the best choice for it being a burger joint. The chicken sandwich was good, but not worth the $9-$11 price tag.The fried green beans are pretty good, and the fries being only $2 are worth it to get to dip into the milkshakes.

We ordered 2 burgers, 2 sides, 2 drinks, and a milkshake that came to about $40.I ordered my burger a medium and got it well done. It was dry and dense. I sent it back, and the cook was kind enough to re do it.Other than the burger, the parking is small and difficult because if there is no parking, you have to reverse to exit the parking area. The menus are dirty and water damaged. They were hard to read. The cup caps were swimming in water, for some reason. The straws are dumped in a large bucket with no individual wrapping, so every hand that goes in there is going to touch another straw, or 4. The pickle bar is dirty with pickles and juices everywhere. The patio tables are dirty with caked on sauces. The indoor seating is just dirty and has not been bussed since we arrived and left, just about 40mins or so. The floors are dirty, you can imagine how dirty because of the condition of the tables. The place hasn't been dusted in a long while. There are cobwebs.The sides were tasty. The shake was good. That is it.

Wanted to try a local burger spot while in the area and saw this place, had good reviews and whatnot, came here early afternoon and walled right in with no line, cool atmosphere with lots of stuff to look at like the big traffic light.Forgot to take a picture of the menu but others have it posted here, lots of options for sure.I opted to get the "Kevin Bacon burger" with a wagyu patty and 2 sides of ranch with fries and a drink. The total came to just under 20$ which to me was a bit expensive for what it was but not a deal breaker as I got the upgraded wagyu patty and sides of ranch.However was kinda disappointed with it, burger was fairly thin and doubtful being 8oz it was stated and the extra bits all I got one was faded small peice of of lettuce and like a silver dollar size of onions, like laughably small amount of onions which was sad. See pictures.The burger itself did taste good but was small portions and the one leaf of lettuce and minuscule amount of onions which was probly the cheapest part of the entire burger was a dispointment.The non sweetened tea I got wasn't bad though and the fries were generous portions with the ranch on the side definitely being better than normal ranch you often get elsewhere. Still though with the small portions on the burger with it all being nearly 20$ was disappointing and left me wanting to eat more.Maybe I came at a slow time or something 🤔I'm sure it's a fun place a little later in the evening with the bar area but in the middle of the day just wasn't the best experience.Parking: Free large parking lotKid-friendliness: Decent place for families to come or adults looking to get some drinksWheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access from the parking lot to anywhere inside

This place is awesome. The decor inside and out is so eye-catching. I love that you get a celebrity name for your order. The food is untouched in terms of flavor and quality. I ordered the G.O.A.T. and omg where has goat cheese on a burger been my entire life? Not to mention the sauce it was topped with. The onion strings were fire, and the fountain drink selection was great. When I say this is THE BEST burger I have ever had in my face, I mean HANDS DOWN BEST.

Great assortment of burgers to include their types of meat. They have everything from beef, bison, and camel to antelope. They have custom-made pickles and an assortment of condiments. In addition to the food being great, there is a full service bar and seating outside next to the Concho River. But our favorite unexpected surprise was the peanut butter that came with my sweet potato chips. Never have I tried something like this and it was delicious!

What a fun place! My family enjoyed the restaurant. Being able to pick out a variety of pickles for your food is so much fun and unique. All of the food was good. The vegan burger was tasty and what made us try this restaurant. My kids enjoyed their burgers and chicken. Just be prepared to wait in line to order your food. Took about 25 minutes to get to the register, but it was so worth it.

I wish I could give this place six stars because it's just that good! Seriously, if I rate it any lower, I might have to reevaluate all my previous reviews. This restaurant blew me away with its incredible food and fantastic atmosphere.Let's start with the star of the show: the spicy goat burger. Oh, my taste buds were in absolute heaven! This hamburger topped with creamy goat cheese, crispy bacon, and a tantalizing chipotle sauce was a flavor explosion in every bite. It was like a party in my mouth! And let's not forget about the Treat-Yo-Self fries. Fries with cheddar, bacon and fresh jalapeños. A match made in culinary heaven.Speaking of heaven, the environment at this place was a blast! You order your food at the counter, and they hand you a card with a character name. I got to be Kermit the Frog! It added an extra touch of fun and excitement to the whole dining experience. When they called out "Kermit," I knew it was my cue to grab my delicious meal. It made me feel like a kid again!The service was top-notch. The staff were incredibly fast and friendly. When I placed my order for the spicy goat burger, the guy at the counter greeted me with a warm smile and shared that it was his personal favorite. It made me even more excited to try it, and his recommendation did not disappoint. The attentiveness and positive attitude of the staff truly made me feel welcome and valued as a customer.And here's a little something that sets this place apart: they have a free pickle bar! Yes, you heard that right. A pickle lover's dream come true. They offer five different options to choose from, and I couldn't resist trying them all. The spicy atomic pickles were my personal favorite. It's rare to find such attention to detail and generosity in a restaurant these days.Lastly, let's talk about seating. Finding a comfortable place to enjoy your meal is never an issue here. The restaurant provides ample seating, whether you prefer cozy booths or spacious tables. It's great to know that I can bring my friends and family along without worrying about finding a place to sit.The food is out of this world, the environment is fun and engaging, the service is fast and friendly, and they even have a free pickle bar! I cannot recommend this place enough. Five stars just don't seem enough to express how amazed I am. If you haven't been here yet, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Just what you might like on atmosphere. Not too busy or noisy. Food good. Bathrooms a hoot. 2nd visit a little later in evening--no wait, but much more activity/crowd/noise around 7 pm. Hamburger buns are that slightly doughy soft sweet white bread that I love from West Texas burgers of my youth. Burgers all medium well-to-well done perfect. Sadly, they were out of buffalo! 8(

I live 4 minutes from their restaurant. Tonight I am recovering from the flu and home alone. I needed to eat and decided to order food rather than try to cook. I chose Twisted Root because of the great fries, burgers, and shakes. I’ve been living on tea for a few days and am so hungry.I could only order through Favor, so I did that. The order arrived relatively quickly, and the fries tasted good so I left 2 stars in this review.The Favor driver texted me from the restaurant and said that the restaurant’s shake machine was broken. I was pretty disappointed because half the reason I ordered from Twisted Root was for a delicious shake. I asked her if they would remove it from my order and she said they would.EVERY piece of food I ordered was cold. Not warm, not temperate, not “a little less than hot”- all the food was cold. Again, the restaurant is 3 minutes from my house!The fries tasted good, but the burger is mostly tasteless. The onion strings…. They’re a disgrace. They are not breaded properly. They are a few limp, cold pieces of onion draped in a few crumbs and coated in a thick blanket of grease, topping a nest of cold empty, soggy pieces of onion coating. I cannot believe I had to pay for these.My food container arrived OPEN and the top of it was dirty, with grease droplets and smudges all over. I’m not expecting a Michelin-star meal here, but if the outside of the container is that filthy then what is the restaurant’s hygiene like?I’m honestly aghast that this restaurant- which has always been a pleasure to eat at in-person- would dare let a meal of this poor quality leave the door to a paying customer. I am sorry I spent my money here tonight.

Great location!Happy vibes when you walk in. Music is playing and the employees seem happy. They have many homemade shakesto choose from and a great burger selection with a variety of meats including buffalo. Great assortment of pickles to include ranch, sweet and spicy, regular, and butter pickles. Cons: The PA system is waaay to loud when they announce your order. Way to LOUD..it's annoying! The food is pretty good. Burgers are a ok size.Parking: Parking lot is tight.Kid-friendliness: They have a good kids menu.

We really enjoyed this place. With a throw back atmosphere and retro decor. The burgers were big, I could barely finish my Western Burger. Fried green beans were a hit with the kids. And like 5 different flavors of pickles you could top your burger with...or just munch on like my kiddos did. The staff was friendly and really quick. Went at lunch time and didn't have to wait but a few minutes. I will definitely come back here again when I come through again

Gourmet burgers with most every meat and toppings you can imagine! Buffalo burgers-yum. Build your own or choose from a dozen combos. French fries-enough to split. Milk Shakes-a local favorite.Plenty of room for large parties.Especially popular with the Military base crowd.Great place for burgers and a beer, especially if you want to have actual conversations.Enormous covered patio overlooking the scenic Concho River.

Such a cute place. Very aesthetic. I love the decor. This place is very nostalgic and inviting. The theme is very cute too. Whoever I wasn’t a very big fan of the ordering process. You have to order your food at the counter and then go to the bar to order your drinks. And if u need additional drinks u need to go back to the bar to order more.

Frankly, I love the food here. I haven't even tried it all. I am disappointed in their vegetarian burger since my wife is vegetarian and their vegie burger is just an old fashioned chickpea and blackberry burger. Where is the impossible meat? But the shakes are awesome and the way the call your order is fun. The (meat) burgers are fantastic, with all kinds of options including more exotic meats! Drinks and a bar are available and the burger of the month is always fun. Good date night place I think.

Wanted to launch complaint went to ur location on oaks st San Angelo, Tx yesterday amd was horrified at the state of this location. I took pictures..This restaurant was filthy and employees and manager just standing around. The salt and paper shakers and all condiments on table absolutely horrible. Didn't want to touch anything. We did eat but couldn't wait to get out of there. Floors, bar area, windows tables the benches so gross! Just a review to you and your staff. I will follow your page only to post the pictures I took. If you're looking for an excellent burger, this is the place to go. A lot of options including exotic, just for the manager. Sodas are unique, brand for the store. High chairs and bar available, including televisions to watch sports. Don't miss this place. Let the manager know if you want your burger well done. I ordered the buffalo burger, really delicious. Associates are friendly and professional.

Dog friendly burger joint with a nice outdoor patio overlooking the Concho River. The burgers were great, the fries-fresh cut, crunchy and delicious when paired with the chipotle ketchup. Too bad the shakes were not available. This was a disappointment, I drove from Big Bend area and was truly looking forward to one of those “Boozy shakes” after the long drive. Take time to walk the fabulous river walk featuring local art in the park. Please check out the cool pics…..very fun stop.

Twisted Root Burger Company has SO MUCH POTENTIAL! The food is, honestly, very good! The atmosphere is amazing! Full of interesting signs and tables. The location is also amazing, just right above the San Angelo River Walk. The issue is the service. It was bad. We arrived at 8PM and it was crowded. We stood in line for over 45 minutes to be greeted by the most tip-interested employee ever urging us to tip him for his job as cashier. We then waited another 25 minutes for our food which came out without our shake. We asked the server where our shake was and she told us that we will let you know when it comes out. Interesting, usually drinks come out first? I will give this place another chance later on this month and update my review if need be. For now, I would not recommend this location to my friends or family.
