Miracle, who works the front desk is amazing. She helped us with exactly what we needed, & secured a great rate for our stay. The entire family loved the indoor pool & recreational activities that are available (& there's a lot available.) The restaurant was closed for most of the stay, which was kinda disappointing. However, there's several places to eat that aren't very far. Will definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

The absolute best stay my family has had in years! This is the second time my mother, grandmother and daughter have gone and stayed here for spring break and had such a an amazing time. Very kind service. Extremely welcoming. The owner even sat down with my grandma for an hour and just talked! You don't find this kind of service anymore and my family is so very grateful for this opportunity to have a wonderful vacation! The swimming pool is amazing and my daughter didn't want to leave. Take a trip here and enjoy the place where "you come as strangers, but leave as friends!"

I do a lot of driving for work, and I see a lot of hotels, and while most of them are pretty standard experiences, I don't think I can remember one that was as neat as this location. Spacious indoor pools and multiple pool tables, a small arcade and other attractions that are great for kiddos. Room was great with modern features like usb outlets so I didn't have to bring any wall chargers. Indoor bar had a great bartender and the drinks were made incredibly well and at a good price point. If you're looking for what amounts to an affordable small water/amusement park inside of a hotel that the family will enjoy, look no further.I will add that if you don't like hearing the sounds of kids playing, or like the smell of chlorine (a necessary thing to keep pools clean), book an outside room. The place starts to die down after 10, and closes at 11, but if you're trying to go to bed early that might be kind of hard.Rooms: Modern amenities (usb outlets) and quite comfortable. No microwave in my room but I got a basic one so I can't comment on the other rooms.Food & drinks: The indoor bar serves really good drinks, and the complimentary breakfast is pretty standard, but solid nonetheless.

The staff was kind but that's about the only good thing about this experience. The room was extremely dirty with stains on the ceilings and in the bathroom. My 4 year old even asked me why the ceiling was "so spotty." We did not want to shower in the tub and the water backed up in there and we felt more dirty after showering. The TV was broken and we called it in and were told maintenance would be by but no one ever came. Since we were there for two days, it would have been nice to have a working TV. It's extremely frustrating that no one cared for us.Our smoke alarm went off at 2am because of a low battery. We called the front desk and they sent someone out and their remedy was to take the alarm out of the room until the following day. I refused to let him leave without a working alarm and he brought another one in but I am 90% sure it wasn't working as the light never turned green so I know they were just trying to placate me, a mother of two children who wanted her kids to be safe. Needless to say, we didn't sleep well. The pool area was so fun for my kids but it was gross. We smelt so bad after swimming. They could definitely stand to use more chlorine in their pools.A large group arrived late one of the evenings and kept us up as they hung out in the hallway. This wasn't at fault of the hotel, persay, but it was frustrating tacked on to the overall experience of sleepless nights.

So this place is great for kids. I’m sure. I don’t know. I’m not a kid, and I don’t have any 😂. My boyfriend and I were driving back on a road trip and wanted a reasonably priced hotel close to downtown. We were so excited to see there was a bar inside the hotel, too. We noticed that there was a pool, and what appeared to be some space for children to play, but we had no idea just how much of a family destinations place is. Upon coming to the hotel the rooms were nice and clean, the staff was very nice and fun to talk to you, and we were in fact walking distance from downtown. However this place is kind of like if Chuck E. Cheese was a hotel. when you’re a single adult with no children you don’t really want to spend the night at Chuck E. Cheese 😂. I don’t dislike children. I don’t enjoy when kids are being overly rowdy, but I understand that their kids and there’s a time and place in which that is more than appropriate. The pearl is a place where that is more than appropriate. So I can’t fault anyone for this, which is why I still gave it 5 stars. So there were dozens of yelling, running around, hopped up on birthday cake sugar, tracking water everywhere because they’ve just come out of the pool children. When speaking with the staff, we mentioned that we had no idea that it was such a family friendly hotel. Not to mention we were staying there on a Saturday night, and it appeared There were at least one or more birthday parties happening. The staff looked at us with a “bless your heart” face. They laughed with us about it and were very clearly doing the best they could at their jobs which I appreciate. The job also includes overseeing an arcade, as well as being a hotel front desk person so that’s probably a lot. I won’t come back unless it is years from now and I pass through with kids of my own. But both my boyfriend and I agreed that if we had come as children, this would probably be a hotel we would talk about for years to come. But for us, in this current stage of life it was kind of like a weird fever dream. The cherry on top of the cake was that there were parental controls on our TV that we could not figure out how to get off 😂. Th

We would definitely visit Pearl on the Concho again. The staff was a dream to interact with—so kind and welcoming. The pool was fun, and the rooms were clean with comfy beds. The continental breakfast had all the usual good stuff, making us feel right at home.Thank you, Pearl on the Concho!Nearby activities: San Angelo is a very cute town. We loved the Mesquite Bean Cafe for lunch and exploring all the vintage items and eclectic decor at J. Wilde's! The Angry Cactus had a beautiful atmosphere, with a tree in the restaurant, making it a nice spot for some dinner and drinks. It's a little on the pricier side, but worth it! We also treated ourselves to some ice cream at The Latest Scoop, which was amazing and had so many vegan options for my vegan friend!

Great location for downtown.Evening staff was great and service would have been a full on 5 stars, but Night Auditor is not the friendliest (not sure of his name, but he was a black guy). Me and my family were quietly playing cards on the atrium and we're run off saying the area was "closed". No set hours were posted and no fence was around the area we were sitting in, it was assumed that we would be alright. Being a hotel General Manager myself, he is definitely not someone I would want on my staff interacting with my guests. He has zero customer service

This is a nice little place to stay if you are spending some time in San Angelo. The indoor Atrium has pool tables and a pool for swimming. There is a play place for little ones, a small putting area to work on your shoet game, and easy access feom your room. I recommend a stay if you plan on spending any time at the hotel during your visit.

Totally enjoyed the stay here and would stay there everytime I'm in San Angelo! The front desk staff was AMAZING! I was in the area for a tournament with my daughter and stopped at the hotel first not knowing if they would be able to check me in yet since I was early by about 1-1.5 hours... not only did they check me in early, they put me in an inside room, and answered all my questions about the area such as where we could quickly get food before needing to be at the tournament. Additionally, I was provided with a list of food nearby, directions and events. Since we were in an inside room, we could look out our window and see the pool. Because of the location, we were able to walk historic downtown to see all the shops, walk the riverwalk and see the Christmas lights on the river and check out the pop art museum and enjoy an unexpected event that was happening with local vendors, music and food trucks.

there was a mis understandin with my bill that the .managet went out her way to straighten up. What concerns me is the fact the although the hotel is a chain each one is different fron gue other. The second well most important was the fact that the manager reach out to me and more or less stated that I was not a man on my word if thier website had workrd the way it was supposed to she would uave noticed that my issue was not with tue hotel it was with the upper chain

Honestly, I’ve driven by this place hundreds of times and never thought twice about it. But I’ve been looking for a place to throw a birthday party for my son. His party isn’t until October, but I’m already going to give this place five stars. I already know the party is going to be amazing and that the staff is awesome. Don’t get me wrong, San Angelo is great and all, but when I walked into this establishment, it almost felt like I was in a slightly larger town or city. I didn’t feel like San Angelo. We had to book the birthday out in advance because their schedule was so busy. So if everyone in San Angelo is going there then I guess they can’t be wrong. And if you haven’t been there yet then I suggest you jump on right now because you’re probably missing out and you deserve to have a good time.

We took a short birthday trip for my sister and The Pearl was awesome!! You don't even have to leave the hotel to have fun!! Rooms are nice and clean bathroom is a little small but clean. The front desk and all the staff are super friendly. The indoor pool is absolutely a must!! The man that takes care of it does a beautiful job!! Breakfast was yummy. There was a small gameroom with video games, cute picture opportunities, play yard for the kiddos, pool tables, air hockey, ATM, restaurant and a bar!! Jessica was so sweet and very helpful. The front staff helped immensely with making sure we had an indoor room facing the pool and not a very far walk from all the attractions. Its hard for me to get around due to health reasons..neuropathy in my feet and legs. So honestly this lil Pearl was a blessing especially in this record breaking temperatures. The hotel itself is close to downtown San Angelo so you don't have far to go from hotel to outdoor entertainment, museums and shops. The Concho River is at the backdoor beautiful scenery and the parking lot is well lit. Thank you all so much for making our stay so nice and comfortable. Definitely will recommend The Pearl to all our friends and family and definitely planning on staying again soon. Thanks again!!Rooms: Nice, clean, cozy, cool!!Nearby activities: Downtown San Angelo is just down the road with cute shops, restaurants, museums, and the Concho River is right behind the hotel with a riverwalk.Safety: Well lit parking lot, locks to get inside and outside, the desk people watch over the hotel closely, and keep a close check on things also.Walkability: Very close to downtown attractions.Food & drinks: Food at the restaurant is good and great drinks!!Noteworthy details: Awesome Pearl of San Angelo..The Pearl is a welcoming home away from home. Thanks for a great trip!!

This is a fun place to stay! Wonderful location on the Concho River in the historic district of San Angelo.Rooms: The rooms are older, yet very clean.Safety: Since I was traveling alone one of the front desk managers moved me into an interior room even though I had reserved an exterior room based on cost. They didn’t charge me extra. They were concerned about my safety and I really appreciate the extra mile they walked to make sure I had an enjoyable experience.Walkability: Easy area to walk to local boutiques and restaurants. The hotel has access to the Concho River walking/running path around the river.Food & drinks: Plenty of nearby restaurants for great food including the Angry Cactus and Twisted Root.Noteworthy details: The atrium with the indoor pool and activities is really fun!

Great hotel for kids. Indoor pool can't be beat. Arcade needs more games or repairs for existing. It's a older hotel but well kept, and it appears they are making some updates. The on-site restaurant was convenient. The service was exceptional. This will be my go-to spot when visiting my grandkids in San Angelo.

Cool hotel with atrium and pool. Pool was clean but water smelled nasty sweet smell on top of the chlorine. We had an outside room on the backside of hotel-- dude was drunk passed out in bed of his truck, young lady offered my family a hit of her blunt on the second floor walkway at 9am, saw two people smoking something out of a lightbulb in the grassy area when I took my dog out, also one of the long-term tenants always brought his 4 dogs out (3 not on leashes) who charged me three separate times (once with dog and twice with my young children with me). Several of the arcade machines took my money. Some staff were great, some of them not so much. Just know what you're signing up for. We had a great time but I cringed probably as much as I smiled.

After 12 hours of traveling I was exhausted. Our room was delayed due to cleaning however the manager and assistant manager changed our room to a two room suite vs the single king we booked. They did this at no extra charge. The ladies at the desk offered us amenities as we waited for the room. The wait was not bad at all about 45 min. Due to long travel times, I was really cranky and grumpy. They staff had smiles on their faces regardless of my mood. The manager and assistant manager kept checking in with us seeing how we were doing and keeping us updated.ALL the staff were very kind. Anytime you pass a staff member the would say hello. When I say everyone I mean … pool guy, room cleaner, maintenance guy, front desks, managers always looked up and said hi. The customer care was too notch. The hotel was very clean! Everywhere you look there were staff cleaning; even the arcade, pool, kid play areas, pool tables, ping pong table were attended to. No fingerprints on glass doors or counter tops. Yes, stuff like that bothers me.My room had comfortable bed and great pillows. Wi-Fi worked great no glitches. On each side of the bed it had two plug located on the lamp. And two USB plug in on the Wi-Fi device. A lot of laps. Good lighting. Good bathroom fans. A great amount of bedding. The room had an Iron, blow dryer, coffee maker, ice buckets and really hot water. My suite had a refrigerator but it was a suit so I don’t know about the standard rooms. The suite had two big TV a bed in one room and a sectional pullout sleep couch. The couch was comfortable. The tub and toilet areas were spotless. Good shower pressure. No dusty or dingy stuff. Well, at least not for room 112 and 111. The furniture was up to date and fresh. The AC worked perfectly. If you put on a degree it went there!! I have been to many places I would put it on 63 and it’s just as cold as 68/70. Plenty of parking. If you have kids young or older. This is the place to stay. They have an indoor pool, ping pong table, kid indoor playground, gazebo and table area, several regular sitting areas, arcade room, disco ball, a restaurant, and that is in one huge area that is center around rooms that look down on all of it. You can watch your kids from peeking out your door. I am sure I missed some stuff but you get the jest of it.They have a good hot breakfast station between 7-10. It changes daily. But each day we stayed the had a good mix of hot, fresh, and cold food and drinks. Plenty of seating. The minute you got up someone was cleaning your table with a good cleaner. Personally, I hate to have to use a little napkin to clean the table, which I have done plenty of times. The hotel is by the Conch river and Conch trail. The trail is about 4 to miles long that runs by the water great for runners. Part paved part smooth crushed rock. It has walking bridges and kid play areas. It had a good amount of Pokémon stops and gyms yes I’m 57 to old for but a hard core player.ConsThere are no microwave in the room. However, there was one that you could use in the breakfast area which was open all day.
