Usually walking into any pets store the pet care is disappointing but today I was appalled. Poop in all the animals “habitats” most had little to no water.the hamsters and rats water bottles are so low to the floor they can’t even drink.absolutely disgusting.

Personally, I'm not a fan of petco. There is NEVER anyone to assist or even ask to assist. The store seems cluttered and always dark place, the could use more lighting. I did visit the grooming department after shopping in the store, and they were pleasing and helpful. I only came in to check on grooming and just happened to grab a few things, but they never failed me with disappointment with service.

The store is well stocked and clean. Easy to find what you're looking for. I took my dog to their groomers. They were friendly and knowledgeable. I'd like if they offered better shampoo options but otherwise would recommend it.

Today I took my dog ​​to bathroom service. with his vaccination card, we previously lived in Mexico so we had the papers that verified all the vaccinations up to date and an extra document for the translation of the vaccination card. As soon as we handed over the papers and said that the translation document was included because it came from Mexico, he closed the vaccination card without reading it and without reading the paper and said that they could only receive dogs with an American history. He didn't bother to read, he just heard the word “Mexico” and denied entry!

It's been up and down with this place, but we finally got a good groomer who did an amazing job! BUT, we got charged an $8 materials fee, even when we upgraded the bath/cut? Huh?What materials were added on top of what we ordered? Why isn't the material cost baked into the price like everything else on the planet (but baggage fees)? No one orders a burger and then gets a materials charge for the beef. C'mon.Also, my pup's 5.5 pounds and as you can imagine very small. We booked $86 for a wash/cut and had a $8 materials fee added. We're already teetering on $100+ with tip for a dog that's basically a large guinea pig. The groomers are great, but do better, Petco. For $100+ a cut, I'll do it myself and save myself a trip across town.

Selection, price way better than Walmart. I was shocked by the pricing there of kitty litter, and kitty pellets. I got more than double probably triple the amount of kitty pine pellets 40 lb $14 verses 7 lb for twenty dollars @ Walmart.

Frank in the fish departments was very helpful and offered a lot of great information. The cashiers were very friendly. The store itself was clean and organized.

Lovely arrangements and we got to see a chinchilla dozing off in there too!! We didn't get anything this time but will surely dig in deeper next time about those dwarf hamsters.

I found a turtle in my driveway and I ended up keeping it overnight not knowing that I could not throw it back. It was a baby now I'm stuck with it. His name is atticus I've had him for several months he is doing really well. I need to get a tank for him he is living in a sink.In the kitchen hes grown really fast. I've had many other pets but I've never had a turtle he doesn't bother too much. Just trying to keep him alive thank you for your services.

They’re always extremely knowledgeable, helpful and professional. I brought my freshwater fish in there cause he hurt himself trying to get through a small opening and was stuck, severely hurting himself to the point where his top and bottom fun was so damaged he wasn’t able to swim. They guided me exactly what to do. Three days later, our fish is doing just fine now. Swimming and all. We thought we were going to lose him.Thank you team Petco!

They did a wonderful job grooming my shorkie. The manager Mr. Ben handled an issue I brought to his attention in a professional manner. The grooming prices are reasonable and you can get an appointment quickly by booking online.

Brought my puppy to the grooming side for a nail trim, teeth and hair brushing. Kassidy worked on her and was caring, sweet, attentive and gentle. Your furbaby is in good hands here!The retail side is also tidy with helpful staff and check out personelle.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Petco when I tried to purchase a turtle with a tank that my grandmother had bought for me. The employee in charge of the aquatic station, who refused to give me her real name and only went by "Mouse,"was incredibly unhelpful and dismissive.Despite my tank meeting all the necessary requirements for owning a turtle, the lady called Mouse refused to let me purchase one because the tank was not bought at Petco.It was extremely disappointing to encounter such unforgiving customer service, especially when I had already invested so much time and money into preparing for a new pet. The tank that I had was a $200 gift, not to mention all of the other supplies that was already purchased. Mouse's attitude made me feel like my business was not valued, and that my efforts to provide a safe and comfortable home for a turtle were being disregarded.Thanks to the manager at the aquatic station. I just wanted a turtle. I'm not a criminal nor even a child to be talked that way but she sure does makes you feel like oneOverall, my experience at Petco was extremely negative and I would not recommend the store to others. It's a shame that a single employee's poor attitude and unwillingness to work through a situation with a customer can ruin an entire experience

After trying other grooming places, we found Petco, Rockwall and have used them ever since, for 5 years. We have a Bichon Frise, so he needs special grooming, they do an excellent job, Tiger always looks perfect.

Worst Customer service! Waited 20min after I had already asked for help in the aquatic area(30 min total ) . ONLY to be told that they sale certain fish on Thursday! If that is that case then helpful to put a sign up so others will know and not just wait and waste time. PetSmart definitely has better service.

Not easy to find a cat groomer and this is the second time we come back for Paige at the Rockwall location. She's professional, sweet, and may baby leaves happy and looking great!

I'm really sad to leave a 1 star review. I scheduled a vaccine appointment for my cat. The first appointment was cancelled due to bad weather. They were great about calling me and texting me about the cancelation. They even rescheduled my appointment. I showed up for that appointment and the gentleman working for the Petco register tells me Vetco is a no call/no show. I was very disappointed and even a little upset. My cat is not a car cat. I called the customer service who had no resolution. Save yourself the hassle and go to a real Vet and get your animal taken care of there.
