A bit pricey and the employees are rude. Used to always be clean, lately it’s been cluttered with stock in the isles instead of on the shelves. I only stop now if I absolutely need something quick.Update: I stopped in to pick up some chicken for dinner. The chicken looked like it had been there all day. There was a fresh batch right out of the fryer and I asked for that chicken and was told they were not allowed to use that unless all the other was sold first. I can understand not wanting to waste but after I got my chicken, I watched the employee remove the rest of the old chicken and replace it with the fresh chicken. After witnessing this, I choose to return the bag I had just picked up to the deli counter and told them I did not want it.

A big fat EW and absolutely irritating. I’m a traveling worker, yesterday bought fixings for burritos and after a long day of work I got back to make them. Slice open the owens sausage to find to my horror it’s 2 weeks expired and rotting. Retch. Now I have eggs and tortillas. Totally what I wanted

New to this area. I was one of few in the store. The manager on duty not very friendly. Just walked past a few of us customers and didn't say a word. Same with the employees. Prices were extremely high. So now I know why the parking lot looks half empty when I pass by. I bet the locals go to other towns to shop for their groceries. I definitely will do the same. It will be worth going the extra miles after paying what I paid in this BB store.

Always love the Spicy Fried Chicken. It's usually pretty fresh and always tasty even the next day (assuming we don't eat it all). I've found it pretty consistent no matter which of the 3 stores I normally shop.

I give them three stars due to them being a bit pricey, it being difficult to order meats, and sometimes dried out deli foods. If these were not an issue I would give them five stars for there lease expensive very large healthy produces compared to Walmart.

It's a bit expensive but the workers are nice & helpful. There's just only about 1 maybe 2 cashier's at any given time. Most times There's a waiting line for both lanes. So if u hav a bad back then u need to get a grocery cart to lean on. Cuz it might be a while before u get checked out at the cashier at Brookshire's in Rockdale Tx

The food counter is consistently closing too early due to staff shortages for me to be able to experience, the prices are almost what you would expect to pay if you just needed to run to a convenience store for a last minute item, not do your full grocery shopping. Staff is hit or miss with being helpful or cordial.

Been here a few times. Staff can be rude, I guess it depends on who is working. The items they have for sale in this store are very expensive. You don't get a huge selection either. The trip to Taylor to an HEB would be well worth it. Better food quality and a better price. There are no small town discount prices at these Brookshire Brothers stores. I bet in ten years most of them will be out of business. I feel sorry for the local elderly people who can't make a drive to other towns with better food and lower store prices.

Good selection for little store. Produce department is very nice, quality items. Has a deli inside store for quick to go lunch or dinner. Prices are fair for little town. Would rather shop here than Walmart.

The manager on duty 8/21, late afternoon, was quite rude to an employee working at the checkout lines. Her tone was ugly and she told the employee (who asked if someone was available to help up front), "I don't know. You'll just have to deal with it." Extremely unprofessional and that person should not be in a leadership position.

Props to these employees for being open during "snowpocalypse" 2021 even walmart and all the fast food chains are closed.We are here visiting from Alaska so this seems like nothing to us, but I understand how bad this is for Texas. The store was packed but the checkers were moving through customers efficiently, the departments were doing their best to keep everything stocked.

Its a small town store with limited selection and on the expensive side but the staff is friendly and mush easier to run in for something quick than the larger grocery stores.

My mother is disabled and they claim to have a deal where you can buy three items for $10 except for seniors they're on a fixed income and have to only buy one item and can still get it at the sale price however a skinny manager today told my mother that changed over a year ago tell me how that's not possible because my mother goes to the same store every day so tell me why this lady thinks it's okay to take away all of the senior benefit that their Brookshire Brothers provides so I'm sorry I guess if you're a senior don't come to this store that they don't care

Needed food delivered in an emergency situation…(Long Story )NO restaurants in Rockdale, TX deliver except pizza and my son is allergic to oregano and tomatoe sauces. . It was 8:34 pm. Store closes at 9 pm. Delivery stops at 3 pm. This was a Sunday.Young lady employee, Dee, went above all expectations to get food and utensils delivered. Dee and her manager made it happen! Walmart is NEVER going to give you this kind of care.Just the facts.

I have never been so upset as i was last night i went to brookshirebrothers i had to stand at the office i no it was 30 at least if not longer and i was sending some money threw western union.the lady got it all wrong she shorted.me 22.00 dollars then her supervisor suppose to call me back never did she has to count her money to see if she was over but tthis way after her register had been used all day till night she could of been short before i even went into the store i went in at 630pm it was after 7 i got out i was.very mad by that time i said thank you and left i.got home i didnt get to look at receipt till about 730 or 8 thst when i notice it so i dont no if they will recharge me to send it again tom
