I wanted to commend Shawn in the flooring department. He was not only helpful but also patient with us while we were choosing new floorig for our rental property. Its very refreshing to have an employee provide such good customer service in such a friendly manner.

Consistently painful experiences at this location.Outright refusal to take return with receipt on defective products only 1 week after purchase. Telling me I have to contact the manufacturer instead because a palm sander kicked the bucket after 2 hrs of work. Lady very loudly told me that the sander “clearly had months of use” and refused to accept the return. So much for “90 day guarantee”. Never have issues at Amazon..Some cashiers outright REFUSE to look up items that do not have codes and will tell me that I need to go run around the store to take photos of the shelf barcodes on items without labels. This is the ONLY location where it seems to be policy to not look up items. I am here to get work done, not meticulously check over each individual item I grab off the shelf.Even if a single item in my full cart has a label that cant be scanned, they will send me to take a picture of the barcode. Putting me to the BACK OF THE LINE after I just waited 20 minutes on a busy Saturday instead of keying in the name??? And wont accept me pulling up the item in the app so I don’t have to wait in line again??These issues heavily detract from an otherwise great store. I think if the customer service training was at least on par with other locations, this place could easily earn 4 stars. With some effort, 5 stars.

Brought back a power washer that wasn’t working properly. Was told they’d test it to make sure it wasn’t working properly like I’d said. The guy tested it elsewhere and radioed to the other employee saying it works fine and to charge me full price. Truly wish I’d taken a video of how poorly the water trickled out but it is what it is. Customer service could use some serious work.

I’ve had asked for help in the electrical section for the wire to cut in it then the curly white dude in a cashier not inmoody mode, he banged the phone twice. He’s so rude and ignorant. I think the people in the Roanoke store have a mental problem. Beware in it.

What a mess. I shop here for convenience. Today there were no visible shopping carts anywhere so I asked an employee- he snapped at me saying,“you have to go find one in the parking lot.”This store was extremely messy with many isles blocked by all manner of products, equipment and sloppily parked forklifts. Some isles were closed off (like they do when using a forklift) but there were no employees anywhere around.Boards with nails were laying around by the cutting station- easy for anyone to snag their clothes or cut one’s hand.Maybe it’s time to ride a little further to a competitor. Just wow.

Don’t order materials from this store. Lost time gas and money because they canceled my order without even an email or a call for a heads up. Waited mostly all day and no calls so I decided to give them a call just to find out the order had been canceled but no one had the Damm curtesy to let me know. Had to drive all the way to them again to get my refund more time wasted and gas. Not sure why the store says they have something in stock but when you order it magically nobody can find it. Don’t waste your money in this store

Paid almost $300 for this little cart for my brother from out of state. It came in late so he had to stay 2 extra days and as you can see I unboxed it right in front of store and found it to be beat up, scratched and bent. When I went in to throw the box away I mentioned it to a manager or supervisor and he said "oh man, I'm sorry". Had no interest in seeing it or mentioning a solution. I am a maintenance director of a plave right down the street and used this store for business and personal. I spend around 15k a year with my business and a couple grand personally. I will certainly be canceling my subscriptions. It's humiliating cuz it looks like I bought him a damaged tool box on discount. Furthermore I was not offered any help and it was very heavy and the lady was very rude. That is why I had to unbox it in parking lot. In store transactions are pretty straight forward but online is awful. I ordered several items and instead of consolidating I have been making several trips. Drove 40 minutes last week for just a cheap bit assuming they had my whole order

I had an outstanding experience during my visit to Home Depot!Every staff's willingness to assist and guide me in the right direction truly stood out… When I had questions about products or needed assistance finding specific items, every employee was friendly and knowledgeable. I also purchased a few pieces of wood and had them cut to my preferred measurements.I'll definitely be returning for all my home improvement needs!

Went to the store to take back 2 plants we did not need. The return dept treated me poorly. Felt like I was being interrogated for a simple return. I also had my receipt. I reached out to the manager and hopefully she explained to the employee how to handle a simple return.

They have the cheapest Water Troughs compared to Lowes & Tractor Supply. Their 2x4 is $119 while in Tractor Supply, we bought it for $183 (Tax Inclusive). Was so disappointed with Tractor Supply. Always check Home Depot for better prices and if you're on a budget.

Had a bad experience with renting a trencher (dull blades). I brought it to two employees attention, neither seemed to care at all. I had to go rent a second trencher from Ace that worked great.

Box Truck - rental- we rented a box truck and we’re told it was 36 for the first hour and $20 each additional hour. They take $150 deposit when you check out. So they have your money already. When I get back they issue only $22.50 back so that is 127.50. That was quite a bit more than the 36 + 3 extra hours at what we were told was 20 an hour. A manger was pretty non apologetic and gave a flippant response.

I have been coming here for close to 3 years and the last year has been terrible. From ripping wood to operating equipment, this store needs some serious help. Really need to get employees better trained for better service. Going to start driving out of my way to go to a different store from now on

As a black person I try to avoid this Home Depot because every time i go there i am literally profiled by an employee and the older ones are extremely rude and has no customer service! They even ask to check my receipt then she told her colleague that my items were rang up correctly. Not sure who asking or why i needed to be spot checked as if it was an extra TSA screening. Since when does Home Depot selectively check receipts? Please do better!!!!

Crazy old Hispanic lady, Marisela I think was her name, was crazy rude, and I'm Hispanic too, nothing to do with that. Got mad because I was checking on his section by lumber with garden decor, but I couldn't pay lumber in the garden section, so I have to be all over the store with the lumber, she was crazy rude throw my garden decor on the metal shopping lumber cart twice and argue with me about the price of the lumber like I was trying to stole from the store. Very dissatisfying and not the first time my husband and I have the deal with that lazy woman

Worst customer service ever! I went in yesterday and asked for an item I knew they had based on the website. The FIRST employee told me to go to Amazon to buy it. The SECOND employee told me she had no idea if they had it or not and it stopped there. The THIRD employee told me to go look on aisle 11 but never looked at my phone to see what exactly it was I was needing. The FOURTH employee who was working on aisle 11 told me it was just somewhere on that aisle but never pointed it out. I finally went to customer service and said can SOMEONE please help me? She tried; after telling her that it showed they had four in stock. She tried to assist before being stopped by another employee saying she was going on break and she needed her back at the register. I eventually found the item myself! Horrible horrible! No-one never knows anything about the department they work in NOR try to assist you further.
