Zero integrity and business ethics here. After a $1300 brake job my maintenance required light came on and brakes were screeching just after leaving and driving 10 miles. I turned around and went back and they admitted to installing faulty parts and couldn’t replace them until the next day but that it was safe to drive. Well an accident after leaving the second time totaled the vehicle. Not only did they not take any responsibility, but they said they couldn’t even refund me for the faulty parts they installed (let alone the labor) because now I couldn’t bring my totaled vehicle back. The store manager said he was directed by the regional manager to let him take care of the situation and gave me his phone number, but after several attempts he never picked up the phone or returned my calls. They all just completely took zero responsibility and ghosted every call on the subject. Calling the Pep Boys customer service line and escalating to a manager they said it needed to be handled at the store level and not national level so they couldn’t do anything. A $1300 brake job leading to a totaled vehicle and not even so much as a free oil change (or even returned call). Disgraceful they are still in business.

Absolutely abysmal customer service. I’ve worked on multiple models of cars over the last 25+ years and an oil filter should not ever be stuck to a truck. And when asked about it, blaming the customer is never the answer. Gary should not have a job there anymore. Definitely don’t recommend this place.

Visit this location if you like to be disappointed or have time to waste. I mistakenly took the lifetime balance and rotation on my tires because I thought it was a 'good deal', and anywhere else it probably was. Multiple visits and my information is still not in the system so I have to bring the original paperwork, and on the last time I had to visit two consecutive days because on my pre-scheduled appointment the tire guy just didn't show up. (good thing I scheduled that appointment so they could call me ahead of time...). Returned the next day, foutunately the tire guy was there, unfortunately said tire guy destroyed the lug nuts and damaged my wheel.

These are the kind of experiences that are rare these days and I so much appreciate them.I called Larry earlier today to learn more about the deals that were going on with tires he informed me of the options clearly to me and even shared other better deals going on to help give me options.Let me just say from all the interactions I saw from how the team talked to the other people who were in here they have my respect. They were super friendly, joking about and most of all having fun. Shoot, I even heard one of their team just having a great day and having good time. But most importantly if there was a problem they were there to fix it. Two people had problems with the sales deal going on in their system. The receptionist and Larry were there to solve the problem quickly and efficiently.My hats off to the team here seriously! I normally don't take the time to write reviews especially reviews as long as this but like I said, It's a rare thing to see these days at a business, and I was thoroughly impressed.I live in denton about 30 mins away from a pep boys and I could have gone to any other tire store in my city but non of them had as good deals and I was just impressed by the service.

I took my truck in on Sat and got it back the same day. They worked with me to try and keep cost as low as possible. I appreciate the that and the same day service.

Honest folks. Had a car that needed the brake line bled but because it was super rusted, the bleeders were fused to the master cylinder and caliper (fun, right?) they let me know they were unable to help me but also did not charge me.

I had a pleasant experience buying my tires here. I've called and spoke to Larry before coming and he made sure tires are available. Then I arrived and Gary immediately assisted me and got my car worked on. Got a great deal from their site with the price of four tires compared anywhere else so I'm happy. Should check them out next time you buy tires.

I visited Pep Boys in Roanoke, TX for the first time today after having been to several locations in the DFW and the service here was by far the best that I've received. Melanie and Gary were extremely friendly and ensured my check in was done efficiently and effectively. Gary ask a few questions to gain a clear understanding of what I'd been experiencing with my vehicle to better serve me. After relaying that information to the tech, Mike, he was able to start working on my car immediately and completed within a very timely fashion. I am so grateful for this experience and am planning to visit this Pep Boys again as their service is UNMATCHED!!!

If you like refilling washer fluid yourself after spending $90 on an oil change go here. If not go somewhere else. They don’t top off fluids here.

Pretty disappointed with the service at this place. Went in to get the AC inspected and freon recharged on our Fusion on 06/20. The inspection came out clean, so I paid $300 for the recharge (after they almost "accidentally" charged us more because they inputted the incorrect make/model...). The AC stopped working 4 days later. Went in again on the 1st and paid another $100 for them to fix a leaking gasket that they missed during the first inspection. Mind you, while we were there the 2nd time, there were TWO other people who came in that day for the same issue. They had been seen by Pep Boys preivously for their AC troubles and a few days later their AC stopped working again. Lo and Behold, our AC stopped working again 4 days later. I called them this time to try and get a partial refund as I do not intend to bring in my car again for a 3rd time and pay MORE money for it to inevitably fail. I was told "well, ma'am the AC is a very large and complex system, you wouldn't understand, we may have missed another leak somewhere so bring it again for us to check and fix it up." Why would I want to bring my car in again for a 3rd time if you didn't fix it right the first two times? Thanks for nothing.

I must say the customer service at this location is top tier! I am a young woman who has had my very first vehicle for quite sometime but I’ve never truly known the services that I require and usually have a lot of questions or can’t afford the cost of repairs as a single mom. They were all very pleasant and patient with all of my phone calls and very friendly with me and my 1 year old. I also wasn’t waiting around all day. Highly recommended!

They are bad at inspecting and repairing your vehicle, they are also very lazy. They prefer to say we don't do that here than to make a little effort to do their job responsibly. Their repairs are shoddy and you end up elsewhere to correct their poor work. In the end you pay more. I don't recommend them at all.

Very quick service, showed me how bad my tires were when i was skeptical about needing 3 new ones, very nice and communicative employees, best prices for brand new tires, alignment and oil change i’ve seen! thank you for making my car drive good and feel brand new! would go back for any future needs. if you're looking for a led skull gear shift knob, this is your place. if you want a decent price on auto care it is most diffidently not. every time i try them again i am disappointed and over charged. they quoted me for ceramic brakes at the metallic brake price, with free towing to store. when the manager called and said that was not right and wouldn't tow it somewhere else... i demanded they keep there word. i came in to get the car, after i paid the invoice showed metallic brakes. when i asked why i was lied to, the associate that did it couldn't hold back his laughter. i will never go to pep boys again. its impossible to keep my wheels looking nice and new. they have patches of black, always

My 19 year old sons truck was taken here for an oil change immediately after a perfect inspection to renew his tags. A check engine light which they told him to “drive and it would go away”, missing part that circulates the oil, too much oil and two months later with no resolution from the company who is still “reviewing” our master technicians diagnosis with pictures, report and samples as well as Pep Boys 3rd party inspectors report. The store manager Larry was argumentative and evasive. The claims rep Maxine won’t return calls. I will update my review at a later date.Update 6/30/23: Since February no response from the store manager, Pep Boys, claims rep, district manager or the owner responding to the initial online review.

THEY WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU! My husband took my vehicle this morning to have a tire replaced. When the tire was done they tried to tell him the vehicle’s battery was completely dead, could not be jumped, and needs to be replaced for $300. He asked them to jump it and see for himself. IT TURNED RIGHT OVER. They then backed it from the bay, parked it, and turned it off. My husband immediately got in and it turned on no problem. This battery was tested last month with no issues and we’ve never had issues before. They did not like we only needed a simple $30 tire change so they decided to try and rip us off. Battery has been tested since and it is just fine.

I ran out of gas 200 yards away ( my fault) stop asked I can borrow a gas can to get gas to get to the gas station. Was told no gas can at the store. And I saw 5-6 of them laying around!! Helping stranded is not required but is nice: will never even think about using or recommending your place!! God bless !! If I ever see you in need will absolutely stop and help!! Blessed day !!!

This place is terrible & the shop employees have no idea what they are doing. I went in there with my Prius for an oil change & had my own oil & filter, this is my first time there so I stood standing the whole time looking into the shop window when the car was in the shop Bay, The guy started to take my tire wheel cap off and I went out there and asked him what he was doing. The shop employee replies "I'm fixing your tire puncture". I told him I'm here for an oil then he replied "no one told me".Long story short, my car requires only 4.5 quarts of oil & I had 5 full ones, I asked the employee where is the rest he said it's all in the car & he says there is nothing wrong with having extra oil is not true, he never ever even checked the oil dip stick, the fundamental of oil change and never removed my maintenance reminder notification in my car. Never ever again will I ever be be going there

I went in to have the tires rotated and the alignment done before going on a long trip. I ended up buying new tires. I thought I was getting a good deal. I drove from Roanoke and got a flat in Odessa at 11:30 at night. I spent $150 getting the tire fixed only to find out that they didn't tighten the tire pressure monitoring mechanism so the tire leaked. I made it to New Mexico where I went in to get the tire replaced and they wouldn't replace it only repair it. The tires are only 4 days old! I some deal! I'll never buy tires from pep boys again!

Wanted to get the splash shield of my sedan removed since it was broken. They charged $35 and after driving 2 minutes, I could still hear the scratching noise which made it unable to drive. Had to do it myself at home because they were busy.

My experience with Pep Boys was awful from the beginning. Customer service isn't lacking at this location, it's nonexistent. A simple radiator replacement turned into a 6+ hour and $600+ dollar ordeal. After waiting all that time, I was told that the car probably wouldn't be safe to drive and was given a nearly $2,000 quote for more "essential" repairs. I called not 1, not 2, but 6 mechanics and every single one of them said that the repair quote was not only ridiculously over priced, but it was also completely unnecessary! They don't diagnose issues, they throw parts at them hoping you'll be naive enough to cough up thousands for unneeded repairs. I ended up having a family member who has extensive experience with cars give them a call. They changed their tune as soon as they realized they couldn't pull the wool over his eyes. Within 2 hours I received a call saying that they had fixed the issues and that the other "necessary" repairs were in fact unnecessary. Either they are awful mechanics or they are just trying to rip off customers. Either way, I wouldn't trust them. If you're in the Roanoke area and need work done, I'd highly recommend looking anywhere but here. Your bank account and your car will thank you.
