This is a location that my mom and dad use when they go out of town. I have always visited when my parents are gone to check on the dogs and send back pictures and video for them to ensure that the dogs are being well taken care of. I wanted to say that the dogs are always clean and happy. I also inquire about they're eating habits to make sure that there's not any issues there. I am very impressed with how well taken care of, and the fact that I can come and visit them and send back pictures and video. I want to thank Kelsey for her assisting me in ensuring to my mom and dad that their dogs are being taken care of. There's no doubt if I had animals in my life at this time, I would definitely leave them at this location knowing that they'll be well taken care of. I commend all the staff for a job well done and especially Kelsey for going above and beyond.

I had to leave my sweet baby for the weekend and he has never been to a kennel since we adopted him 2 years ago. The staff were so friendly and so kind to him. The pictures I received with him and his new friends looked like he was so happy and having a wonderful time!! If I could give 10 stars I would for sure!!! Thank you so much Pappys!!!!

We have loved Pappy's! The grooming has been great and I swear my dog smells good for weeks after being groomed here. They have a great place for my dog to run and play and are always available.

Our 7 month old dog stayed here 5 nights 2 weeks ago. I thought it was weird they never asked for the vaccination card, but I didn't ask any questions. After picking up my dog, she got home and had diarrhea. I thought maybe she was just nervous since its the first time she has been away from the house. Next morning there was blood alongside vomit and diarrhea. Called Pappys twice and the only response was that they are sorry but that they clean the place every day so not sure what could've happened. They said they were going to call back when they had some more information but they never did. After a very expensive vet bill, seems like my dog ate something she was not supposed to. Was expecting them to call back after maybe reviewing the tapes to see if they had any idea what it could've been but nothing. I had used this place before and never had any issues. Seems like things have changed since, I wouldn't recommend them anymore.

Worst place that we have boarded our dogs at by far. I HIGHLY recommend not taking your dogs here! We paid $729 for our two dogs to be boarded here so we could handle a family emergency. We requested that the two dogs are NOT caged together because they're not fixed. Upon our return, the dogs were boarded together the whole time and they're both very sick. We then had to take them to a vet to get their required treatments so they would begin feeling better. We mentioned this to the owners and they were extremely rude and refused to help.My recommendation: Save your hard earned money and valuable time and board your loved ones at a different boarding facility. Creekside Pet Care Center in Keller is an excellent choice. Or anywhere besides this place.

This place is amazing and the people are just as amazing! I was referred here after failing to find a boarding place that can manage my 3 behavioral dogs without human handling of 1 (who is human fear aggressive). They have the perfect setup with pvc pipe gates to create a space for the dogs to go out and come back in without any human handling. No other place like this! The managers and techs are all so willing to test any dog, to be patient and work with the owner to find the solutions. Brand new ownership, new managers, all amazing people. Highly recommend and will definitely be using them again!

I hate having to be away from my pups for any amount of time. But I left my 2-year-old Lhasa while I was gone for two weeks and he was picked up happy and healthy. He loves other dogs and I love that he has playtime outside of his kennel with the others. I hate to think of them couped up all day with only a potty walk. Will definitely return to Pappy’s. Thank you for taking such good care of my sweet boy!

I made an appointment for my mom's dog a month ago to be groomed. Because of my work schedule, the only day that I could help my mom bring her dog in was on Saturday. They failed to tell me that they only give baths on Saturdays. Also, they require your dog to have two bordetella shots a year. Mom's dog only had one in the last year and is due for another one now so they wouldn't take him even just for a bath.

This was the 1st time to board my dogs. They were so good. My dogs were so happy and calm when we got home. They were definitely well cared for. I also spoke to the new owners and they were extremely helpful and sweet. You could tell they love animals. I will definitely be back. Place was also very clean and taken care of. They also have cameras so you can check on them. I was so impressed.

After moving here I was referred to Pappy's Pet Lodge by a local pet food store. After a visit my dog and I had found a place he liked! You can tell everyone here just loves their job and the love dogs!! It's clean and very spacious!!

We absolutely love Pappy's. My Husky has been going there for about 1 year now. Daycare as well as lodging. He loves it. He starts whining as soon as we turn into Pappy's out of excitement. Everybody knows him by name and I feel like he is loved as much by them as he is by me. The workers there are amazing with how they treat every animal there. They go above and beyond for every single one of them. My dog had a allergic reaction. Not only did they rush him to the vet and waited with him until I got there, they also made follow up phone calls to check on him later that day! Needless to say, we love this place!!!

Awful facility. They have major staffing problems and left my dogs in a kennelRun from 10am-5pm. I happened to be watching their live webcam and noticed my dogs were never let out. (I was paying for full doggy daycare and boarding) Please, please, please make sure you do your research before taking your animals (family members) to this facility. The Manager running the facility does not care about your pets. I can not tell you how disappointed we are and we have been frequent users since 2014. This thanksgiving break, they have over 150 dogs and not enough staff to properly care for them. In doing my own research, i see they lost an animal a year ago. The animal was never found. Please do not send your animals here. My dogs will NEVER step foot in this facility again.

We were introduced to Pappy's when searching for better place to keep our 10+ year old lab when we were going to be out of town for 2 weeks. It was new and we had not heard a lot about them before, so we had taken our dog for a trial weekend before our big trip.It was awesome. The staff was incredible. The facility was clean, calm, and everyone greeted us and my dog with care.So, our big trip then came. Again, the staff and facility was great and we left for our extended trip knowing our dog was in wonderful hands.Now, we have left our dog there for a third stay and they know him by name and our dog is so happy to go each time.We are so happy with everything and so thankful that we found such a great place for my dog's home away from home.

My husband and I toured the facility today looking for a backup doggie daycare / overnight facility for our Miniature Pinscher. Immediately upon meeting with the employee who was going to show us the facility, she used the adjectives “loud,” “hot” to describe the facility. She was actually steering us away from becoming customers. The place was so filthy. It smelled like feces everywhere. The outdoor yard was a mud fest. The “suites” are not suites. They are just slightly bigger kennels than their regular cabins. I got a headache from just being here 15 minutes. The dogs looked depressed and/or scared. We will never bring our dog here. Stay away from Pappy’s Pet Lodge if you truly care about your animals.

Called before booking our boarding dates & the lady answered all of my questions, even the "silly" ones I had. Felt totally comfortable taking our dog there. They let her come for a couple of hours of day care for free to try it out. Love the webcams, but wish they had clearer images and more of therm. Dog was very vocal (happy) when we picked her up. Took her for a second stay and once she realized where we were she started it again. I live that she was excited to return.

Great place. I've had to kennel my dogs a few times and i always return here. They have discounts on puppy daycare when you board your pet. They also have cameras set up so that you havevthe opportunity to check in on your pet during daycare hours. The staff are nice and attentive to your dogs need. My puppy was very shy the first time or two and they made sure she felt sevure during playtime and showered her with love and attention. I believe that they also now offer dog training as well.

We boarded our Bentley there for four days and had him groomed while there. We like it there the reception area was clean . The receptionist our knowledgeable. The groomer came out to talk about how we.wanted our puppy's hair cut. She did an amazing job.

I sincerely wanted to love Pappy's. I had read a few reviews ahead of time that gave me pause, but a) you can't trust everything you read on the interwebs (there's always that *one* person), and b) when we got to Pappy's, I saw that the facility was amazing. Really spacious, fun play yard, friendly employees, etc.I had high hopes.We boarded our 1 1/2 year old dog there for 2 weeks over the holidays. We didn't hear from them and assumed everything was fine. Fast forward to after we got home: I could tell he didn't feel great (bathroom habits were odd) so we took him to the vet. They did a urine test on him and said, "Now, it's pretty rare to see a male dog this young have a urinary tract infection, but we'll check anyway just to be safe."The test came back with such a high bacteria count, the vet was shocked. He has a "substantial" UTI (if 5 bacteria on the slide indicates infection, he had 50+) - something we will pay close to $200 to treat (on top of the incurred boarding fees).I don't know if he wasn't let out often enough, if they didn't notice he wasn't using the bathroom when he was, or what - but I am really disappointed.Suffice it to say, we will not be using Pappy's again.

Will not leave my dogs here again. Dangerous place with young, inexperienced staff and unprofessional management. One dog needed fluids after pick up because he was dehydrated. Another occasion, one died overnight and I was not called in the morning. Before this there were overlooked signs. There was an issue with a/c in which dogs were kept together instead of separated into cooler kennels, they misplaced 10 days of canned food and then covered and said they fed them twice as much and ran out of food; price increase surprise at pick up when manager herself checked them in. Any one of these issues is enough to choose another kennel.Dangerous place.

My two dogs stayed at Pappy's in Roanoke for several weeks while my home was being repaired due to flood damage. I was very pleased with the care they received and found Trey to be responsive and polite both when I asked questions and made requests. The staff were so nice and attentive that anytime the dogs go now for a playday or short stay, they run to the door to get in!

We were charged $75 for a dog "spa bath" that is listed at $40. When we asked why we were told "that's just what the groomers charge." When we asked to speak with the groomers we were told "they can't come speak with you right now but they'll take $10 off." We still can't figure out how they think they can almost double the listed price. The manager of this location also tried to charge us for 2 extra days of daycare while our dog was boarded there and we had to argue that as well. When we asked her who we could speak to above her, she told us to look it up online. I like that this company has cameras and I can look in on my dog, but I don't like the pricing practices and high staff turnover. We'll be looking for a new company to board our dog with.

I applied there about 8 months ago and upon receiving another job called to cancel my working interview 2 days before it was due to take place. The day and time of the interview tolls around and they ask me where I was. I reminded them I had canceled this interview 2 days prior and immediately canceled all of my dogs upcoming grooming appointments. If they cannot handle an internal cancellation properly how can they properly care for my dog. Fast forward to now. I called on Friday and made an appointment for a 1/2 day of camp and grooming for a Tuesday. I called the day before at 9:30am and there is no answer. I call later in the afternoon and mention my call from that morning wasn’t answered so I figured I would try again. The woman I spoke to immediately became defensive. I did spend about 5 minutes on the phone verifying the appointment because I was going to a doctor’s appointment and would be unavailable to talk on the appointment day. After getting less than 5 hours of sleep I drove up there and I am there before they open. It is after 7am and the door is locked they let me I and ask if I have brought dog for camp and mention he is there for grooming as well. The woman I spoke to told me there was no groomer on Tuesdays and that my appointment was for Thursday. I specifically made it for Tuesday because of my appointment and I asked her why no one had mentioned this to me when I called and confirmed the appointment yesterday. She then tried to gaslight me and tell me I imagined that entire conversation with someone and that I was mistaken. I left saying I would not return and she snarkily tells me to have a good day. When I called corporate to complain they accused me of talking to the wrong location. This place is horrible and I will never go back.

Boarded my dog for 8 days Friday to Saturday with 5 days of training. My dog seemed well taken care of and the training has been helpful especially with the notes so I'm pleased. Had a small issue with the amount initially charged but they will addressed the issues and corrected it. Excellent customer service 👍
