Wilma and the staff at Dogtopia of Roanoke have done an exceptional job with Rusty. We have seen a reduction in his separation anxiety and we can tell the difference on the days when he doesn't come. I appreciate the culture of philanthropy and engagement with the pet parents. Definitely sets Dogtopia apart from their competitors.

I made a preliminary meet-and-greet appointment for my dog because I wanted him to socialize with other pooches. I started filling out the online forms, read the pet-owner agreement, promptly stopped and then canceled the appointment. This company essentially wants pet owners to indemnify it against, well, everything. I understand small nicks and such can result from play, but"puppy" pappiloma virus? Kennel cough? Isn't proof of current bortadella vaccination supposed to preclude this infection?Things happen. But I won't summarily indemnify any company against every possible scenario, especially if something occurs because of possible negligence. I'm not sure why Dogtopia mandates this agreement for a simple meet-and-greet, before dog parents have agreed to use its services, but I'm glad I read it in time.

We lost our 17&18 year old dogs over the last few years and we’ve started all over with two little pups. We started both of them at Dogtopia for doggie daycare and their services are great! They have been very attentive to our puppies needs and also to my needs. LOL!! I’ve reached out with multiple questions and they are informative and patient with me each time I reach out. So far it’s been a great choice! Thanks Dogtopia Team!😊

We've been bringing our dog to doggy daycare intermittently and have boarded her as well at this location. The staff at Dogtopia Roanoake create a positive, happy atmosphere and always provide professional, yet friendly customer service. The app makes scheduling grooming, boarding, or daycare extremely easy, plus the webcams put you at ease when you see your pup interacting with the other dogs. Overall, we've had a great experience here!

Skittles loves going to Dogtopia. She sees that the family is heading out and she is at the door ready to go see her friends at Dogtopia. Because she loves it so much, I know that everyone there is so good to her and that makes me happy. :-)

The ladies are very sweet and kind. I Take my dog Jake there every chance I get too, he loves going to dogtopia. My dog has a great time when he goes here very. awesome place. 😃 Now I have Seth Seth is a new member to our family, and now him and Jake both goes to dogtopia every chance I get to take them. Both of my boys loves going to dogtopia they love the ladies at the front desk. And they also love the other furry kids that also goes to dogtopia. Dogtopia is a awesome place to take your furry kids to. it's not just a daycare it's also boarding and a spa too, everyone that works there are very loving and friendly and takes wonderful care of your furry kids, and make sure they have the best time of their life. I also like how dogtopia keeps up with your dogs shot record. And they also have activities like splash days snack days everything awesome. 🐕🐕😃

My puppers came back a bit smelly but I was able to watch her all day (except for nap time) and she got equal outside time and inside time. She seemed to enjoy herself and is completely worn out today! Would go again.

Wilma at the front desk is superb. When we schedule our 3 dogs for boarding, she checks & makes sure they all have current vaccinations. She checks on groomer's schedule because she knows I want their exit baths. Jennifer the groomer gives our dogs beautiful haircuts especially my Coco the poodle. Boarding staff are all great.

I am a original client of the old owners The Pet Mansion before they sold it to Dogtopia and I never had any issues with them. I thought that the staff and groomer stayed the same but I was wrong. I’ve had my chow chow for 6 years and have never had issues with telling a groomer how to cut and I’ve lived with him in two different states. I usually get cuts every 1-3 months depending what I can afford because his grooms cost $130-$160 each time. When Dogtopia took over and I had my first grooming I asked for a normal cut and my dog came back looking like he didn’t even have a trim so I nicely asked for this to be fixed and it was fixed to a medium cut which is the norm to me and I was satisfied. 1-2 months later I called to schedule a grooming again and could not get anyone to answer my calls or voicemails. I ended up texting the groomer from the first groom and she said she would give the message but I still couldn’t get a call back. I put in a complaint per their email surveys and I got a voicemail left the next day saying my dog was scheduled out for the rest of the year. I should of taken all of this as a huge hint they did not like me or did not want my business. Because when it came time for the second groom, I asked for my normal cut (which to all the groomers I worked with in 6 years is a medium length cut.) I went to pick up my dog and came to found out the groomer shaved my dog down to the bare skin less than half an inch of hair left. My dog is a chow chow. This is the worst thing you can do unless you really needed to. They replied that he was extremely matted but from talking to my family that I live with and they stated he was not extremely matted that he needed to be shaved down this low. His ends were icky and he needed his normal groom to prevent this, which is why I always tried to get him groomed every 1-3 months. We also comb him and stopped bathing him ourselves to prevent matting as we found out us bathing him ourselves can create more matting since we can’t dry him as well. I ended up cancelling the rest of my appointments and will not be back. The receptionist ended up calling me and talking and I was very polite and told her I don’t think I am a fit with their groomer and and she stated their manager would call back and remedy but to this day I have not received any call. At this point I don’t care for one as I will not be going back but I do think this deserves a review as I tried to be as understanding and polite as possible and work with them. Fully shaving a chow chow can affect the way their hair grows back, if it grows back fully, and will take 6 months or greater to grow back. Luckily my dog doesn’t understand what happened to him of course and is still happy and smily!

Dogtopia is great. From the instant you walk in the door you are greeted with smiling faces and very energetic staff. They are very organized and take great pride in their jobs, you can tell. I love that they know almost every dogs name that walks through the door. I love that you can watch your pup on the cameras. Our Lola loves going to Dogtopia and we know she is in great hands!

The staff is so friendly and they take such great care of my best friend. They are like a second family. They're always positive even on stressful days and they consistently check in with me to see how I am doing. Dogtopia's services are perfect for my pup. She goes to daycare as often as possible and boards there too. I have been satisfied with the spa services as well and am thankful they are an option because she can get very smelly after playing all day. I am so thankful to have Dogtopia.

My husband and I decided to check out Dogtopia as a backup for our dogs’ current daycare and boarding. Dogtopia is also conveniently located five minutes away from home. We scheduled our meet and greet with our two dogs for this past Saturday. The initial impression via phone calls and text was decent. I liked that they contacted the dogs’ vet directly for their vaccination records before the meet and greet.However, the meet and greet was a disaster. Our dogs are extremely shy and protective of my husband and I. They will bark up a storm initially until they feel comfortable around new people and dogs. The black-haired female employee that first made contact with our dogs became visibly frustrated and gave up on bonding with our dogs easily. The blond-haired female employee that took over looked more willing to diffuse a tense situation. She kept feeding our dogs treats to help them get comfortable but it wasn’t working.While we were still in the lobby with our dogs, my husband and I were asked a bunch of unnecessary questions by the employee. It felt more like an intake for prison than doggie daycare. In addition, the lady that seemed like the manager of the establishment later said she had some questions to ask us. What else do you need to know? Our blood type? My mother’s maiden name? Well, we never found out what those questions were because the manager never came out from behind her desk. Speaking of prison, the feeding and resting policy is to feed and have the dogs “rest” in crates exposed around the other dogs that are playing. There is no privacy or really time to rest because there are dogs constantly around. One crated dog in particular that I kept seeing on the webcam was looking out at his friends desperate to come out and play. I felt bad for him.Disappointingly, the staff all stood behind their desk like frozen statues offering no help to an already uncomfortable situation. The other young female working behind the desk did nothing but side eye us the whole time. It was very unprofessional and uncalled for.We will continue to take our dogs to Camp Bow Wow in Grapevine. I highly recommend y’all stay away from Dogtopia if you love your dogs.

I never worry about leaving my pupper here. The staff is amazing and so caring. They are attentive and take excellent care of all the fur babies in their care. I would 100% recommend this place if you're looking for doggie day care or an overnight stay!

Absolutely love that I have somewhere to take my pup so that she's not cooped up in her kennel all day while try to sleep off a midnight shift! She goes twice a week and she's much more relaxed at home ever since we started going to daycare. The coaches learned who we were real quick so they can quickly call for Athena when we get there! I love checking up on her on the cams like I would if she were home, it puts this crazy dog mom's mind at ease!

Dogtopia is the best! They are so friendly and truly love hanging out with these precious dogs. I know my pup is in good hands every time I drop her off. They really care. The canine coaches are always smiling and so is my dog when I pick her up. The activities are amazing and I love how often they take photos of the dogs! We love it!

The staff truly love their job here and that gives me such peace of mind! My 3 puppies have the best time, get spoiled the whole time there and sleep so when they get home. Also, Dogtopia has so many events for their furry clients that make time away from their family easy and fun!! After being groomed and bathed, my dogs are so soft and smell amazing for days, not to mention the cute bandana they get sent home in. Lastly VERY CLEAN which was important to me!

My dog seem very happy here. When we pull into the parking lot and he sees the building, he gets very excited. He gets impatient as we are parking and wants to go in. Playing with the other dogs is a good experience for him.Also, everybody working here are very nice and friendly.

My wife and I decided to schedule a meet & greet to, perhaps, have a backup to our dogs’ regular daycare. The initial communication was excellent, as was the offer for Dogtopia to reach out to the vet to obtain medical records. That is where the good ends. Our dogs tend to be shy at first and will bark up a storm until they settle down and acclimate to new people. The girl that began the meet & greet rolled her eyes at our dogs and gave up too easily. Someone else had to take over. Then there was another girl just standing at the checkin counter constantly giving us the side eye. It was a sign that things were not going to end well when Jasper was reluctant to go meet the other dogs. The whole time he was in the play yard, he was backed up against the exit door. The indoor play yard is a decent size. What really set me off is their handling of feeding and boarding. There are crates lining the periphery of the play yard. It is in these crates into which dogs are placed for feeding and boarding. No privacy. No rest. No seclusion to have their meal. Once I confirmed this with the girl that took over the meet & greet, I promptly ended the meet & greet and asked her to retrieve Jasper from the play yard. Nina was still with us and had not yet been taken to the back. I got a bad vibe from a staff that came across as disinterested and standoff-ish.

My dog sleeps so hard after a day at daycare. Love that they will do her nails while she's there if I book it. Saves me a trip and they do a great job! We would come more often if they'd offer an early drop off option (even if they charged extra for it).

Don’t go to Dogtopia. We loved it as Pet Mansion and were ok with Dogtopia until this week. They didn’t cut our dogs hair like they have for the past several years and when I tried to talk to them about it, they were rude and defensive. I didn’t want money back or anything and it would have been a quick fix to trim the hair on her head shorter. Super simple request! The lady (Wilma) was almost to the point of yelling at me that they did exactly what my husband told them to do and if he didn’t know what to tell them, I should have sent him with a picture like most wives do😳😳 She then topped it off by hanging up on me! Obviously we will never go back or recommend them to anyone like we have in the past!

Be prepared for the Money Grab "She will need three days of daycare BEFORE you can board her again because its been a year since she last visited." Talk about a money grab with NO regard to the dogs nearly DECADE history with the company/pet mansion.Talk about a money grab.I miss The OLD Pet Mansion. Disappointing. Oh well.
