This place is usually pretty good to get a few things if I don’t want to drive all the way to a bigger grocery store. They usually have what I need at a good price.However, the last time I went I bought some crackers, and it wasn’t until I got home and opened them that I saw that they are already expired. They are crackers so we are not going to die, but the point is they shouldn’t even be on the shelf at that point. Clearly the staff is not bothering to rotate current product to the front of the shelf and put newer things behind, nor are they looking at expiration dates periodically. Most crackers have a shelf life of like 1-2 years so those have been on the shelf for a LONG time. That just comes down to laziness and not caring.

The shelves are always empty, stock on carts just parked around the store, stock stacked on the floor making it impossible to walk without having to go around it, top stock is never worked and u can't reach it because it's so high up and no one is ever around to help get it. The most unorganized store I have ever been in. Employees when they have them never greet u.

The selection here is SO cute! I used to go to one of off Western Center because it's closer to where I lived at the time, and I swear, they didn't have even HALF the things this one does! Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend!Ps. We just got the CUTEST measuring cup ever!!

Only doing one star because negative three stars isn’t an option. Place is dirty, cluttered, and the white hair older cashier hates her life and is extremely rude. Someone needs to tell her if she hates the job that much then just leave. I’d be embarrassed if I was in charge of this store honestly.

This location has most anything you need, great stock too! Prices are ok, a little high but they do have an ap if you download coupons to help.Today I needed hamburger buns and readymade coffee. I found both easily! Coffee selection was abundant, I went with International Delight for hubby’s road trip. I also found snacks for the road trip, again prices were okay. Better than gas station though, and it saved me an extra trip to Walmart. I can’t really complain.The cashier was super friendly and sweet, great customer service. There is one self checkout lane which I didn’t realize until someone behind me in line asked if they could go ahead and use it. I told them sure!Great place to stop!

Not incredibly impressed with this Dollar General. The place is a mess, boxes, items laid and places sporadically all over the building in places they definitely shouldn’t be including hallways blocking exits.My main concern is the lack of sympathy or compassion for absolutely anyone who walks through their doors. I ask a simple question of “where is the juice” and the look of total frustration and annoyance I get is unbelievable. She lead me to the direction of the juice and then walked away. I then go to check out, I am a bit confused because I see a cash register lady standing in front of the register but it looks to be a self check out. I have to mention, I am holding a 30 pound toddler, all of my items and a shopping basket(not a buggy). I’m trying to check out and clearly struggling to hold my child, my belongings and trying to check out/scan my stuff. I did happen to miss one very small item and she made sure to make me aware I left this in my basket.Not once did she asked to help me, ask to help me scan my items, nothing… I’m not asking for them to shop for me, load my buggy and then take it home. I’m really asking for them to do the bare minimum and if they see someone in need to help. Her job is to stand while hovering over a self checkout?? A simple “can I help you scan your items” would’ve been wonderful but Dollar General in Rhome can’t even do that. Do better Dollar General.For better service and a kind helping hand. Please travel just 1 exit up the road “Justin Exit” and you will find a fantastic, clean and friendly dollar general who would be happy to lend a helping hand.

Sat at the register for 10 minutes waiting for an employee. Had to yell across the store to get help then she told me that corporate is making them clean the store with only two people. Not sure how that pertains to the customers and why you leave your counter unattended for that long. Possibility of being able to get robbed is super high. Get it together guys

I got a bag of ice from the self checkout and had the rudest experience with an older woman. I stood there waiting for her to finish with a customer then when she asked to help me. I told her I needed ice from the locked chest and she responded very condescending. I was nothing but respectful and didn’t deserve that type of response. I understand people go through bad days but you shouldn’t take it out on the customer. It was very racially motivated as she spoke to the white customer nicely. I shop here because it’s local but won’t be returning.

Everyone at this location is always friendly, helpful, and polite. Anything I'm looking for, there's always crew ready to point me in the right direction, make recommendations, and make sure I'm happy with my purchase. You always are greeted walking in the door and assisted quickly with anything you need. I do almost all of my shopping in the area here and everything is kept well organized, it's really more than you expect from a dollar store

This is one of the nicer DG stores I’ve visited. They have a large frozen food section with many items to choose from. There is a good selection of everyday essentials and household items. A small produce section in the front of the store has some nice fruits and vegetables. The store is clean and well lit with plenty of parking.

Most of these stores make you do self checkout yet there system is not setup for in store coupons. Can sit there in self checkout and request the “help” button but no one comes. Pretty ridiculous.

Store was good, but when i walked in the first and only thing that was said to me by one of the employee women was "You have 7 min before you have to be out". BUT...other than the rude employee with long brown hair... The store was good and the woman at the register was nice.

Store has been remodeled and now has produce just not a lot. More freezers offer more options. I hoped that it would be nice since we have no local grocery stores but limited choices and not the best quality. Store is understaffed at all times with employees busy stocking and managers hanging out in the office. You have to wait for several minutes or go looking for someone to ring you up. At least Family Dollar down the road has a bell that you can ring to let someone know you're ready to check out.

It's the only place in town to grab something you need, before a 20 mile round trip. Considering that, it's not a bad place at all. I couldn't figure out who was more rude, the woman with the buggy, standing with it across the exit while looking at every single item on the clearance section, or the employee blocking one entire aisle while stocking the water. She could have had the cart turned to allow access to the aisle, bit chose not to. The gal at the clearance was making it very difficult for anyone to leave the store, maybe someone needs to rethink the clearance section at the front door. Otherwise, a busy little store with a lot of things and the prices don't really reflect the 20 mile round trip thing. Don't go changing that!

I love our local dollar gen, bad greeting card selection though. Idk how to explain it, just a weird variety. I was looking for cards for 2 different occasions for 2 different people and left with no cards. Got pizza and soda though! ;) And the employees are very nice.

This DG has a (small) produce and meat section which makes it a game changer when it comes to where I'll decide to shop. It was also well organized and employees were all very friendly. I used to primarily shop at another location where most employees would complain about working there pretty much every time so this was a breath of fresh air

I love this Dollar General. Their staff is almost always friendly and helpful to boot. They also protect their customers from hoarders and opportunists whom try to raid the place during a pandemic.Sure, there's a Walmart up the street from us but I prefer Dollar General because of the peace of mind I know I will have every time I stop in.Keep up the great work you guys. Maybe you should train Walmart employees on how to be decent human beings. ;)

This rating is based on tonights shopping experience. I shop at this store all the time. Tonight at 9:45, I walked in for a bag of cat food. As I entered an employee tersely yelled, "You have five minutes!" Normally I would have said something but I let it go. In hindsight, I should have confronted her about her pitiful customer service. Family Dollar is a few miles further but is now my new 'close to home' shopping location. Not putting up with that level of disrespect.

A lot of name brand items at discount prices very good place to go shopping for some of the things you need ---- many sales and discounted items -- for the house for the car Bath and Beauty over the counter medications beer and cigarettes many many items and food and snacksAlso some some good and friendly people working there.Don't think you're going to go shopping for your year-long clothes.If you're in a hurry go to your house first that's why you're driving what 85 miles an hour to go ==== what, ? Sit downJust be all calm when you go inside the store look for what you need the employees are calm they're good they trust maybe more than I would you or go to Wal-Mart or go down to Love's truck stop maybe that's better for you not sure LOL but I love this store very good store been going many years.

Went in for nacho supplies and they have a display full of oreos that clearly stated buy one get one free, cashier was rude to me the whole time. Treated me like an inconviece to her day and then proceeded to laugh and snicker about how I was wrong about the display? Employeed had rude attitudes and treat people like they are the burden.Eventually just left all my items at register and left. Not going to argue with someone about a simple 3 dolar bag of oreoes.

We lived here last year i shop at yalls business regular basis never having issues this mth we move back to my surprise went into a nightmare .1st my husband bought 2 things of 🍓that when he got back we notice was molded salads i notice was already turning bad 3 days in a row i went to get just stain remover for clothes was giving every excuse why there was none on shelf angela even try saying there was a shortage after she told me that truck was not unloaded yet im a truck driver wife who just so happen to deliver to alot general dollar stores i know when truck deliver and its always truck just got here shelves and some of frozen foods have been completely not kept stocked very disappointed i even try talking to 1 employee which ended up veery rude turn walk away no loss but horrible horrible customer service J S anyway went into store again last night the women who was working with a young man Jonathan she rung me up 1st i had to get my brother things ok she had in fact bandana on her head was very very rude so much got me so upset i payed had to walk outside told my husband what was going on i gather myself back together lol believe r not i get along with everybody i dont hate nor judge nor do i know a stranger ive work at lil jobs like thes ones work at here and if they dp not like job i come take ur job show r train these workers great customer service its not just ringing people up no its call kindness going out of yourway to help who helps makes there paychecks as i didnt have to go very far to get my stain remover lol no shortages were i went i told the store were i went sadly they was not shocked as they say alot of yalls workers hate job and r very rude another thing trust me ive done this to to make customers happy goes back to customer service and the great personality i was bless with lol we choose to do business at yalls store ok if yall speed up just a lil bit offer customers if they like for you to tie there bags so customers like myself i drive a hemi dodge xlt limited edition but doing r helping everyone i could when i did work doing hair all my life i started losing usage in my hands but Jonathan hey speed up just a lil no one was behind m.e i needed help tying my bags so things wouldnt go all over my truck even after i ask for you help u stood there after u over pack my bag looking like that was way to much wow ive also been managers to nobody was behind me i had a case of water now me of course my favorite saying u got time to lean u got time to clean u could of even judst offer to help a woman load water in my truck u stood there saw my disable plake i un loaded my lil stuff you nor the bandana women had customers yall im sure was discussing me lol no loss but maybe yall dont need to work ill get better in next 6 mts to go back to work im sure the owner of store would love to have people like myself i could even right now do circles around you kids have even there r sleepy r whatever but i did not appreciate being disrespected like last night mistreated but u see how fast words about a business can get around now we have reviews now which i love love were out here fpr business i guess i continue. Here in Rhome, they stock just about anything you need without having to go out of town for last minute items . On days I do not want to go to Walmart, it is a Godsend. We have very good customer service, both Boyd and Rhome

Usually very clean and in order. You can always find what you are looking for. Long lines right when school gets out. Nice staff. You need a key for the bathroom. So you have to ask. And the restroom is not very clean.

When I'm traveling on a tight budget I can pack lunch for a week for five or six dollars. Drinking water less than a dollar a gallon. Cheap work gloves, t-shirts and hoodies in safety colors very affordable, supplies for keeping the truck clean😊👍

There were boxes and racks all in the way of the Isles I couldn't even turn down one aisle to get to another without wrecking my elbow you know where the funny bone is can't even look for the stuff on the shelves without having to look down to keep an eye out for tripping over stuff customer service is great not so much the store

Ive been visting the Rhome store a couple of times .I really like the store .Its clean the associates there very nice and knowledge able about the store. It also has a fresh produce section .So go the Rhome Dollar General its really worth going to
