Six Shooter definitely is the place to go to take your meat to be processed. This was my first experience taking my game to get processed and it was phenomenal. Leah was so helpful from step 1, she explained the entire process and the shop was top notch. They are able to do so much with your game, pretty much whatever you want done. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is great. All of the items we got were delicious, especially the hog chorizo. In addition, Leah went out of her way to meet with my fiancé because we weren’t able to make it before Christmas and she helped make it happen. I definitely will be going back after my next hunt. Thank you Six Shooter for taking care of us.

I visited Texas for a hunt and was told by the “outfitter/guide” that he had a place to process the meat and a lar cooler to chill it down for the ride home.. After I shot the first Nilgai I found out he had no such facilities - and I still had 3 more days of freezer filling meat hunting to go. I called Six Shooter and asked about renting cooler space for the quarters and explained my situation. I was welcomed with open arms. Once I saw their operation I decided that after 30 years of processing my own meat it was time to let someone else do it. The shop was CLEAN! I mean ABSOLUTELY SPOTLESS! And it even smelled GOOD.I left the carcass and continued to drop off several more as the days went on. They opened up for me on Saturday on my way out of town. The coolers were full (they scrubbed them out and even sanitized them. Heck they even fixed a broken hinge!).. Everything was accounted for, and they processed it EXACTLY as requested. I was given a meat receipt that weighed out every animal, bones, meat, etc - all the way down to the exact amount of waste. Everything was clearly labeled and vacuum sealed. They even froze it all individually and THEN packed it all tightly into the coolers for the 3 day drive home. It was nice after a week of hunting and a long drive home to back the truck up to the shop and move the meat directly to the freezer without days of butchering.The owner and staff are top notch, friendly and helpful. After hearing the horror story of my “outfitter” and the hunting debacles, teven referred me to another outfitter for my next hunt. I’ll be back to hunt South Texas again, and I’ll be sure to visit this place and have it all processed.Check them out. You won’t be disappointed.
