This is the first hardware grocery store that I've seen like this in my life, you walk in and the isles 3 and a half of them right in the middle of the store. They are paint supplies, plumbing supplies, and all the other hardware stuff you need the PVC pipes, gadgets and tools.

I've never been to a combo hardware / mini supermarket before very clean and was quite surprised at the selection of food and hardware they had it all and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Shopping Basket & Ace Hardware is a Grocery store combined with Ace Hardware store; the staff there r pretty helpful & they also have pretty good seals deals every so often

This place blows, the prices are way high, and it's all Mexican stuff, EVERYTHING is outrageous! I don't shop there because I'm on foot 👣 what ever happened to REAL grocery stores???

The clerk was very nice and helpful when checking me out. He also carried out my groceries bc the carryout employees were busy. Store was clean and prices were good. Could use better organization in the ace hardware department, but their cuts of meat and prices of more than made up for it.

Shoppin Baskit and Ace Hardware is a smallish store, but it's a one stop shop for all your needs. The employees are friendly and it's an older store, so it's a bit worn around the edges. They do, however, keep it neat and tidy. Their prices can be a little high but, today they just happened to have just what I needed on sale! How'bout them apples? That reminds me, they have a small, but nice produce section and an on-site butcher.

Better than it used to be but higher prices now too! And always missing what I really came for - ace is handy but again over priced. Way to gouge the small town.*Update: Ace's selection is pretty good. Grocery selection better. But prices are still way too high IMO.

Very high prices compared to other grocery stores in the area, even the others in small towns like this one. In the back of the store near the meat market they keep a bin marked "reduced price" where they toss things like expired lunch meats and cheese as well as beef from the meat market that has turned brown and sell at a discount. Always check dates if you shop here as I have bought expired product here several times after forgetting to check the date. The latest time I picked up 4 different flavors of dip from the dairy section for a family dinner I was hosting and much to my humiliation my grandmother noticed 3 of the 4 were out of date while we were getting everything ready. The employees know little to nothing about about the hardware portion of the store so don't shop here if you need any kind of assistance with hardware. Even if you do know exactly what you are looking for you will pay a lot more for it here than you will any other hardware store. For example I was replacing the glass in a window I broke on a Sunday morning mowing my yard and needed a tube of caulk to seal the new glass up. The tube I purchased for $3.75 here was $1.25 at the small locally owned hardware store down the street when I stopped in there a few days later to pick up something else. That is a pretty extreme mark up. The employees are hit and miss, a couple of them are very nice and kind but they do have several that are very rude and unpleasant to deal with. Always check the prices when you check out, it is not uncommon to catch the charged price being different from the advertised price. I've lived here 15 years and have shopped there since moving here and the quality of this store and staff has declined so far that after my last visit, and problem tonight, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Just visited Shoppin Baskit and was pleased to find out that Michael was the manager there. The store is exceptionally clean and in great order! We are glad you work for your home town store, instead of Lowe's Home Improvement in Abilene. Welcome home!

I was in Ranger house sitting for a couple of weeks. I stopped at Ace Hardware looking for a pair of loppers. What I found was a fresh cut sirloin steak, fresh produce, eggs and pvc pipe to fix the leak under my kitchen sink. Greatest store EVER!

The meets are sometimes not food brown or green why they try to sell old meet I don't get that nasty and the need to clean up there baskets and the floors around the baskets very drity and there over priced too go 6 Miles to Walmart I do shop here but I watch what I buy I don't wanna eat old out of date food and there's a lot of it there and the produce department umm no thanks it never looks fresh old looking

If you need something fast and don't feel like going to Eastland then by all means go here... but make sure you check expiration dates! Also when they are checking out your groceries make sure everything is the correct price! They tend to have something g marked cheaper than what it rings up!When it comes to the hardware you're better off going to Tindels down the street!

It was a good grocery store, but it's over half ace hardware now, corporate store taking more business away from small business owner down the street, the produce section is small, the milk seems to go bad 4-5 days before the expiration date almost every time. Sometimes the pork from the meat dpt is spoiled, shop here if you need to for hardware supplies, but ace here is over priced compared to Tindalls down the road.

More expensive than most places, terrible produce,expired food,moldy bread and subpar service. Remember to get your receipt and check your bags! They dont like to return or exchange items. More than one occasion I got bad pork from there and I'm not the only one. Try harder shoppin baskit!

Only bad experience was the 2nd time going there was an old guy by the ice chest yelling out racial slurs at us but the other times I have gone the employees are always very helpful and friendly. Clean store priced a bit high but overall a decent store.

I've often bought food there that was expired, the prices are marked up at least 25% on the majority of items compared to other stores in the area, management treats employees poorly, notably lots of five star reviews that seem to be from fake accounts (Suspect.), the only good part about the store is the location, it was better before it was bought out.Shoppin' baskit, good if you don't have options, better if you don't care.IdI rate lower than one star if I could.
