I simply cannot say enough good things about both the service of the team and the comfortable facility! Great camping and float trip, with all the comforts of home that you can ask for while camping. Hot showers, clean restrooms, store on-site for anything you forget (as we always seem to do). They even were kind enough to accommodate me on their day off! Great people, friendly and informative advice about camping and floating. Two thumbs way up, can't wait to return with friends!

Brazos Outdoor Center is amazing; they shuttled us up the river, helped us unload, dropped my truck at the take out, let us know of any hazards/weather, kept in contact with us along the trip and checked on us as the wind was very bad and it was cold. Brian and his wife are the nicest and most hospitable people you will meet, they went above and beyond. We will definitely be back again. God bless yall.

Several years ago, this place saved my birthday when all I wanted was to go tubing but I wanted to sleep late too! The river is low right now, but we went back and they've built on, it's nicer than the "more popular" alternatives and more importantly, the people there are SO nice. General store, very nice restrooms with hot showers- This is THE place when the water gets back up- we floated anyway today and still had a great time. Will definitely go back when their shuttle is operating after some sweet rain :)

I am very happy with the service and the owner Brian, and everybody that works. There was absolutely fantastic. Our brakes went out on the RV while we were pulling in and they let us stay an extra day even though they were close to make sure that we got the brakes fixed and everything was taken care of so we could leave safely. I would highly recommend even if you go on a day pass or if you go camping to visit here it’s well worth it.The only downside was the white and black dog that came and ripped open our trash bag and went through our camp, and we woke up to trash and food, and everything scattered everywhere around our campsite and a bunch of ants .

If you are reading these reviews like I was wondering how they can be so different I think I have some insight. This is a busy place, at least it was on Memorial Day weekend. In addition to the 8 RV sites there are a bunch of tent sites and lots of people come here for the day to tube or hang out at the river. There is also a an adjacent river access owned by the state. These days people are so inconsiderate of others that people from the state side crawl over the fence etc and trespass on this property down by the river. Some are loud, drunk etc.The owners of this property are great people, very friendly and accommodating. They were very easy to work with and very polite. However, when folks are rude, obnoxious or trespassing, they will likely leave a poor review here when their behavior isn’t tolerated by these owners. If you are the kind of people who respect others and mind your manners, you’ll have no problems here. If not, you should probably jog on.We had a great day kayaking the Brazos, we had a bit of a head wind and we haven’t kayaked for a year so the drop off point was probably .5 miles farther than I needed and we had to get out 3-4 times to pull the kayaks through low water spots. That’s life on the river folks, don’t take on more than you are fit enough to handle. There is lots to see and do in the area, great restaurants and attractions and we enjoyed our fire pit a lot. There is a lot of highway noise but we could see that on Google before we came, no surprise. And the highway is much higher than the campground so the noise isn’t overbearing.I’d stay here again, we had a lot of fun.

We had a wonderful weekend here, you can tell the owners put a lot of effort into the upkeep and love into the place. We were at the campsite next to the campers who left a bad review today and can confirm they were absolutely rowdy and disrespectful of other campers. They were blasting music and screaming up until they got kicked out. I’m grateful the owners took care of the situation so others were able to enjoy their time.

Should have taken care of guests interests let us out 15 miles down river and didn't tell us there was no water in the river after we asked repeatedly if it was going to be fine. A dog that lived at the residence started to follow us as soon as the let out was that they said they knew the dog, the dog followed us 15 miles back to the center which they said wasn't normal. When we showed concern after growing attached to the dog they said nothing and that the dog was going to have to find it's own way back 15 miles upriver and basically told us too bad. It would have been easy for them to take the dog back to the house at the exact same spot they take a lot of guests. Overall these people are pathetic and the camp ground is loud and right beside a highway. Camp spots are right next to each other. Terrible place. Won't come back and will tell everyone else not to come back either.

Travelled to the outdoor center today, and wow what a terribly run place this is! My sister called yesterday, and the man assured her that the river tubing service was up and running, telling her in detail about the rapids and various locations for drop offs, pick-ups and the float time for each. When we arrived, the girl at the car booth told us the tubing was closed due to water levels and had been for awhile. She waved us on into the park, leading us to believe we didn't have to pay aside from renting tubes or a campsite. Later, we decided we did want tubes and half the group went up to the center to inquire. While we waited, a very rude older man told me they had called for a tow truck to remove our cars. When I explained we had assumed we didn't have to pay and were let in, he rolled his eyes and said "yea sure" before I could even finish explaining. Then when we went to take care of the parking and attempt to rent tubes, the process was so discombobulated it was painful. An older woman kept rolling her eyes, sassing my sister (who only came for her birthday!), and saying WE were confusing HER. She also told my sister no one was working the day prior, essentially she was lying about having called the center the previous day. Later she admitted that the man did remember my sister calling and said that she just misunderstood everything the man had told her. Overall she gave us one free wristband because she didn't want to deal with us anymore. On top of that, when we were getting our tubes, we heard the men talking to each other over the walkie talkies saying to keep an eye on us as if we were some sort of common criminals. The experience with this place was ruined for us. We will never return, and I recommend you find another place to enter the Brazos if you want to have a good time! Don't give these rude, assuming people the time of day! Give your money to someone else!

Absolutely some of the nicest people around! Brian and Lisa have the biggest heart and run their campground with all of it! Our family has enjoyed/survived Covid-19 2020 at the river. We have camped, tubed, canoed, kayaked and made some amazing memories here.Yes, the location is by the highway- yes there is noise. Did it ruin our experience? NOT in the slightest.River access is great and when the water if flowing you have multiple options of fun! They offer drop off and pick up services for 5 and 8 mile lengths. Bring your equipment or rent what adventure you decide for the day.I HIGHLY recommend Brazos Outdoor Center!

The couple running the place are great - super helpful and very friendly! They'll air up your tubes for you and give you recommendations or a friendly conversation. They obviously value their customers and want to make sure you have a great experience. Their prices are very reasonable.Brian obviously cares very much about the river - I saw him walking along the banks later in the day picking up trash. I still don't understand why people leave leave so much trash around! C'mon guys, pick up after yourselves! The only recommendation I'd have is to make the trail down to the river a little wider and safer. It's hard to cart coolers and tubes down that narrow path, and even harder to carry them back up after a day on the river. :)Overall though, I highly recommend Brazos Outdoor Center. You feel like a valued customer, not like a head of cattle. :)

The staff and owners here were very nice and accommodating. The site was clean and well maintained. The river entrance was very nice. I suggest doing the 4 hour float where you exit at the BOC river entrance. The 2 hour float is nice but the exit is at a different location and the people the take you back but are no where near as nice or organized. There is not an enclosed shower here but there is a camp shower to spray off. There can be a bit of highway noise for overnight tent campers. If you are ready for that it is not a big deal. I hear they are adding a stage and grading the site as well, so I am looking forward to checking it out in the future.

Very friendly staff! They said if we were ready that they'd take us right away. And we were in the river after a 15 minute ride. Dropped us up river and we floated down to the campsite. They are just after the big bridges on Hwy 67 so it was easy to see when to get out. Saw a waterfall along the float as it had rained quite a bit recently. Great time! Will definitely be back and camp!

I highly recommend this location if you are looking for a nice float on the Brazos. It is a longer section of the river than the other locations. They drop you off a ways up the river and you float down back to where you started, so you aren't waiting for another ride to get back to your vehicle. Very convenient and reasonably priced.

Neat place to come and enjoy the Brazos. I took my family tubing there and we all had a great time. Paul was nice and informative, I will always remember the town of Rainbow!😄 There's a store on site that has ice and other essentials, and a shower also! Will definitely come back.

My hubs and I decided it was time for a camping trip getaway during this quarantine and Brazos Outdoor Center was perfect! I really liked the fire rings and the whole layout for camping overnight. Depending on first come first serve you can get a cool spot next to the river. Weekends get crowded and busy, so know parking can get a little hectic. They have plenty of rentals and activities to get in to. The staff was super chill and very accommodating. Check this place out!

Not a fun family trip. Water is shallow on this side of the river, also an overload of sharp rocks. Owners were very strict on belongings being out. Owners were very foul around children and myself, he kicked our family and some other campers out that payed 200$ for 3 days. No refund for the days we weren’t going to be there. threaten to call the cops If we didn’t hurry and leave. No piñata‘s. No animals. No fun. Would not recommend.

Very Over priced. Not to mention we had to go to another RV park to dump our RV. which cost us more $$. Very Disappointed in the camp ground. No water/Sewage at sites (they were kind enough to run a water hose, several times, to our camper) - strictly electric only. The sites are stacked on top of the each other -no space at all. The park is great for tent camping (the sites get larger if you go further down by the river) but even that is over priced. I wouldn't pay someone $15-$20/night to live like I was homeless under a bridge. Don't plan on relaxing in the peace and quiet either that highway might as well run right through this over priced camp ground. The owners were very sweet but they are super proud of their porta pots and no showers. My stars are for the owners, the park gets 0.

Fort Worth Fly Fishers hosted a club outing at the BROC and we could have not been more pleased with the location and service. Pre-event communication was outstanding and made for a smooth, no-hassle, event. We will definitely be returning to this venue in the future.

Awful place and service, not recommended. The owners are not friendly. The husband (owner) approached us the morning of the second day using strong profanity in front of my young brothers telling us to pick up our things. My brothers had never even heard the despicable words he said. Do not put any of your things on the ground or you will get kicked out you must stack all food and floats inside your tent. We had one trash can to use at the very front of the center. No indoor bathrooms available only Porta potty’s and the outdoor showers only have cold smelly water. There should be a sign that says “no fun allowed” the water is dirty and not deep enough to swim and has a plethora of sharp rocks. The place was unkept and had garbage floating in the river we felt unwelcome and will not be coming back. I have nothing positive to say about this trip it’s a waste of money and time

Nice area and wonderful owners. They are still in the process of building the camp and as of today there was no water, electric, or permanent bathroom. We boondocked with a 33 foot travel trailer and had the whole camp to ourselves. I am anxious to see this place develop. I'm sure it will be 5 star before long.
