The park ranger at Fort Leaton recomanded we try this place and said it was also dog friendly. This place is absolutely delicious, the customer service is great, the tacos, Jamaica and horchata were amazing. We definitely recomand El Changarrito to anyone that likes authentic Mexican food and it’s in the area. Our huskies also enjoyed resting here

We stopped here after a day in big bend and I cannot say enough great things. First, they were open! Presidio is a tough town to find open businesses and they were the only place in town. Second, the food was DELICIOUS. We get a lot of Tex Mex in Austin but this was so good and lots of food. The proprietor was so nice and made us feel like it was home! We had our two dogs with us and they have a great pet friendly patio. Thank you thank you for the best meal!

Great road side stop in Presidio! The Mexican rice was great and the brisket tacos was fantastic! Just don’t forget to ring the bell if you’re looking for service. It’s open if it says it’s open.

Excellent food! Stopped in our way to Big Bend State park and highly recommend folks make a pit stop here!Mexican rice was phenomenal! Shrimp tacos were incredible- best we’ve had. The green salsa was amazing- ask for extra! They could sell this stuff in store. Burritos are a great value due to size and flavor.Food took a little bit as do all good things in life so we recommend calling ahead. Don’t miss this spot- it’s incredible.

Four of us had lunch here this week and everything was fresh and good. The chicken quesadilla was simple with lots of cheese and chicken and no junk added. The taquitos were hot and fresh and the green salsa was hot instead of watered down with no spice. We'll go back again.

Five stars for the best limonada (lemonade) that we ever had. Freshly squeezed, each serving made to order, superior to any bottled or from frozen concetrate limonada. Excellent asada tacos and salsa verde. Beans and and rice excellent too, must be homemade, nothing like standard restaurant fare. Take out - Para leverage only, but nicely kept and wonderfully clean shaded outside dining area with nice sink for handwriting. Really friendly owners! Wish they hadn't been sold out of the asada verde or chile relleno; I bet they would have been very good. We just arrived too late in the day. Really nice family business.

We stopped here after driving through big bend ranch state park. Both sandwiches we ordered had great taste. They unfortunately were out of horchata but the lemonade we got instead was really refreshing. We ate outside on the patio which also has an outdoor sink to wash hands before/after eating. We would recommend for good sandwiches and would return if in presidio again.
