Today the chicken tenders and white gravy were delicious but unfortunately the biscuits we got in each chicken tender meal were flat and doughy on the inside. That is so disappointing as the last time we came the biscuits were fluffy and made just right & everything was good. Consistency is not something we're getting here lately.. there's a whole other time we came and the chicken tasted like it had been sitting out for awhile.It'll be awhile before we come back here. With the price you pay for each meal, we expect some consistency and a fairly decent meal.No, I didn't call this in to the manager and thanks in advance if you respond to make this right. All I ask is that y'all do a better job with what you serve to customers here. This is gross and inedible and I'm hoping neither of us get sick from it. :-(

Today the chicken tenders were absolutely delicious! A couple if years ago I had ordered some that were too, too salty and had posted a negative review, and I hadn't been back until today. Today, I take it back. I hope that other people who had that same experience awhile back gives you a second chance because the food was great!Parking: Spacious

Lately this location has been hit or miss. I've come one day and the chicken has been delicious, and then the next time I come it will taste like it's been sitting there for a while, or the gravy is like water. I will say this- if you get bad food, if you call the store they will make it right.If you live in Port Neches it's a good location, and the staff are always polite and fast. On Tuesdays they have a special which is two pieces of chicken and a biscuit for $2.39. That's a great deal.

My husband and I went to this location and ordered food. We waited almost 30 minutes for them to walk it out to us. However when they gave it to us we were missing a fish dinner and the one we did get only had 2 pieces which should have been 3. Went inside and gave receipt to cashier and had to wait almost 20 minutes to get the dinner that was missing. However we still did not got the other filled for the other box. Total we spent 56 dollars and it was not worth it. We will not be using this location ever again.

So disappointed Thursday night. I ordered the tender snack pack for myself and a four piece tender meal for my daughter. Included is my pic, 2 little chunks of burnt meat, and the Mac and cheese was really noodles with yellow water. My daughters chicken (which she only got 3 pieces of) was so chewy we couldn’t even cut it with a knife! Not the typical service there.

This was the worst food we've gotten here by far...We ordered the 30 piece chicken strip, they told us it would be a while for the strips since we ordered so many told them it was fine. Waited 40 mins in drive thru just for the chicken to be stale and cold. Fried pickles were cold and soggy. Dont really understand what we were waiting on if the food was cold. Not sure if we will drive back to that restaurant.

This place needs to close down either for temporary or permanently. From the staff to the their so-called cleanings.After a few times I've been here when they opat at 1030am, there are always left over food on the tables and floors. When I do get there in the morning, doors are suppose to be opened at 1030am, often times I could get there 10 minutes later or 30 minutes, doors are still closed. The staff looks at you like they despise you for being there so early.The store manager is an absolute joke. Refuses to make sure the place is clean, doesn't make sure the lobby is open for business, doesn't put up proper signage (been out of wingless chicken for months, doesn't want the public to know they don't sell them).The only person I there worthy is an 30ish tall male. He actually seems to care, always with a smile and great attitude.Also... when you do manage to there early, there is also always someone in there.. the same person too. Not the nice worker.Parking: 20 or more

Not sure what happened! I love chicken express normally, but today it was the worst. Chicken was so dry I couldn't even chew it, mashed potatoes had no gravy on them and the fried okra tasted like it was cooked in fish grease.

Ordered 2 meals, paid at window and was asked to pull forward, where I was undoubtedly forgotten. FINALLY got my food, opened boxes to check for seasoning packets to discover that there was no gravy in either box and 1 didn't have a roll. Had to get out and go inside to get the missing items. Drove the 20 minutes to my elderly mother in laws home to enjoy lunch and realized that we didn't even have the correct pieces of meat!!! Very disappointed in this location!!!

The Chicken strips were so hard half got thrown away because they were not edible then the young guy the that handed my food to me pretty much tossed the the bag at me luckily I caught it then I actually said thank you politely got ignored and he walked off. I then repeated it very loudly then stated I know y'all heard that, should not work with people if your going to be rude to them

Last 3 visits they have been out of 2 of the 3 side items I like. They discontinued their seasoning packets and won’t carry them anymore. Sad, because they used to be pretty good.

In dinning out, usually one's taste buds and expectations are set for the chosen establishment.. Fried chicken qnd fried livers.. expected hot, fresh food.. the livers were dry and cold and had been sitting out for a time. Chicken was hard, dried out and too seems they had been sitting out. Gravy that came with order was tasty..warmer..and mashed potatoes were dried out but warm. Rolls were soft and warm.. and delicious..Staff pleasant ...Did not meet my expectations. Ate because i wanted food. Was not considered enjoyable. Wasted food because got tired of trying to find a soft juicy piece of chicken.. or liver..Livers are good inside warm bun though..

Not sure what has happened to this place. The employees seem stressed and annoyed. The chicken tenders are no where as good as a year or so ago. And the prices have gone up significantly. For the prices, and the lower quality chicken I can no longer recommend this restaurant.

Never a complaint here. But the sweet tea need to be sweet. ESPECIALLY the gallon ones. Y’all are known for the teas and omg. I can’t believe it was sweet.

After not having been to Chicken Express in a couple of years, we decided to get take out this week. My husband watched from the drive through as our order sat on the counter while multiple inside customers were served. Finally, one of the four employees brought his order to him and repeated the order - apparently reading from the ticket, not from actually looking at the contents, because there was a missing item when my husband got home with our food. He called the restaurant and was told that only two people were working. He literally saw four employees. I drove from our home in Nederland all the way back to Port Neches to pick up the missing part of our order. There were four employees working when I got there as well. I was given the missing item and a weak apology for the inconvenience of having to drive back to the restaurant. The employee did not know that my plans had to be postponed to drive there, and my gas light came on while I was en route, not to mention the rest of my food was cold by the time I got home. The spicy chicken tenders were good. The gravy, which we unfortunately purchased an extra, was watery and unflavorful. The fried pickles were fantastic. The corn nuggets were not great. It will surely be at least another two years before we venture back to Chicken Express in Port Neches. Advice: Check your order before you leave.

It was fair. Rolls and fried okra over cooked. OUT of corn nuggets!?! How and why? Chicken and gravy were goodUpdate: Dined in 3-20-22; much better all the way around. 5⭐ for 3-20-22I know food establishments go through different employees all the time which changes to service and food quality. If I enjoy their food overall I will return I just wait before returning after a so-so review to give them a chance to get back on track.
