Nice store. It is generally a busy store. I have, on many occasions, used the men's restrooms and found them to be clean and well maintained. The sporting goods department is well stocked with fishing gear that is used in the local gulf waters. There is a great addition display with seasonal goods. I visit primarily in summer and fall, and the selection of outwear is varied and reasonably priced.

I have been doing a ton of yard work, and I have been getting cement blocks and bags of pebblestone, and every single time there was always someone handy to help me load the car with all of my goodies. I am so grateful for the helpful staff

Find just about everything you could ever need or want in the store or on the app. Great deals on everything. The door greeters are always friendly, nice, and helpful. Definitely recommend 😄

They usually only have 1 actual checkout person. Every other line is self check out. Very frustrating takes longer to check out when u have a basket full of stuff. Scan bag and carry out yourself. You would think they would drop there prices since we have to do just about all the work ourselves.

Walmart Port LavacaCustomer service, no help. Electronic/ phone department , young ladies in that department rude, smart remarks. Needs to be replaced with robots, or educated adults

Pretty nice bunch here in Texas! I've only seen one employee that wasn't a joy!! The staff is always kind and helpful! Best Walmart yet!

It's a super Walmart. As at all Walmarts there are never enough open check-outs, and they are happy to have you do their job (check-out) for them. Walmart should award credit in the form of free merchandise or an employee discount for you for easing their burden.

Got dog and cat food to donate to dog pound, a large amount. Could have helped with a slight discount , to show support for the cause, would have helped me out, but they were not sympathetic. So much for the Christmas spirit..

Came here to visit from out of town and stopped at Walmart for a few things. I had the most incredible experience, specifically with Denise she was absolutely amazing, helpful and kind! She went out of her way to help a customer in need. I will definitely be back!

This Walmart had a friendly staff and we found everything pretty quickly. We were in a hurry to get to the beach lol. Bathroom could be cleaner.

Walmart discounted and sold expired fry sauce for $1.50 before taxes. They also have a few employees that seem to think it's okay to assume children's genders based on their clothing and hair styles. They are pretty clean for the most part. This is generally how Walmarts are so not much of a complaint more like a why are you like this.

Not enough scooters for the elderly! Everytime I go to this Port Lavaca Walmart my Dad has an issue because of the electric scooters. There are not nearly enough scooters and the ones they do have run out of battery fast or just stop working. There are too many disabled people and people that need a scooter but they are in constant use and they don't have a chance to be charged so there are not enough scooters in rotation. Please fix and get more scooters.

Honestly it's a pretty decent Walmart and REALLY caters to coastal living with a big beach section during the summer and a huge camping a fishing season year round and has an FR section part of the year to cater to refinery work that's minutes away

Love that they have plenty of limited items self check as well as conveyer belt checkout for larger amounts. Never have to wait more than a few minutes.

Poorly stocked, prices are higher than neighboring Walmarts. Hard to find an employee that will help you find items. Also watch out for their roll back prices!

No cashier. I had to check myself out for free. A highlight to walmart back in the day was getting to know certain cashiers. You kind of develop a relationship with them. Now that's gone. Good thing is I try to shop and support our ma and pa stores more than ever. I spend way less at Walmart now.

It was odd to have employees actively asking if they could help me find things. The usual experience is them darting down an isle if you make eye contact. Oddly refreshing. Store layout is odd to other stores.

Prices too high, only one checkout line ( don't like self checkout), one checkout line too slow, a lot of the time don't have the items I need. Like the last 2 times I went there they didn't have the 5lb. bags of Purina Puppy Chow.

It's OK, I mean Walmart is Walmart and doesn't really vary much on the locations. Stuff is always going to be unorganized on or around holidays. Staff is OK, a lot of people don't want to work there and it shows.

This walmart is okay for fishing supplies and licenses . Take the time to make several copies of your license. 10 buck if you forget

Nice size parking and a really good store that has many items marked down. Allows overnight parking for RVS and Motorhomes. Cheapest groceries I've seen in a very long time ! A Murphys gas station next door.
