Twice now, I’ve gotten items with mold on them and didn’t find it till after purchasing and unpacking. The first time was packaged apple slices. You could smell them after opening the larger bag even though they were in smaller sealed bags. I took those back and got a refund. This time was the “fresh” pork potstickers out of the cooler with the sushi and everything else. I got back to heat them for lunch and took them out of the microwave, they smelled, and when you looked closely, they had mold on them too. I threw them away. It’ll cost more in time and fuel to go back and get a refund again. Sell by date was AFTER I purchased the items, which should mean they’re still good...Customer Service is good, and the store is always clean. The only reason they’re getting three stars and not one…Edited to add mold strikes again. Ordered curbside. Got a container of okra. Got home to cook and they have mold on them and they look terrible. See pic.

The service is excellent at this location. The people are friendly and helpful. The produce selection and quality are always great. The prices are competitive and the shelves are well stocked. The store is kept very clean. There is ample parking.

Everything was great while shopping and I always get a very superior product from this store that people come to expect from H-E-B. However, this time I was turned away from self check out because I had more than 10 items in my cart. With having 16 items I can understand that. I said, “OK, thank you very much” to the friendly assistant who told me I needed to go to different register and proceeded that way. The other employee, however, working the shelf checkout did a karate chopping movement in the air as to suggest “ya, you get them” to the employee who politely told me I needed to find a new check out line. Then as I exited the store and walked past the karate expert again she gave me a glaring dirty look. As someone who has been in the customer service industry for over 30 years I found this EXTREMELY bad form and maybe some attitudes need to be checked out at a different register as well. Just to be sure that this individual can be recognized by management, I was in there on 2/11/24, at 12:44pm. She had the shorter hair, not the long hair.

I do not use their pharmacy anymore but have used their App to order curbside and find that very convenient. Store has not changed , but they are going to self - checkout and i find that , as long as they are using the cashier personnel to fill curbside orders that is fine. No one losses their jobs and it makes the store run more efficiently.

Always great fresh unique selection of food items and the best fresh tortillas on the planet. Get your fresh stick of butter a drink and then get your fresh hot tortillas, and run them out to the parking lot and enjoy 🙂

I enjoy shopping at H-E-B in Port Lavaca! They have great deals and the employees are very helpful and assist with anything you have questions about or any of your needs. The store is clean and easy to run in and grab what you need. A great and happy environment!

The pharmacy is awful. I drove from out of town, they didn't have my prescription ready, argued with me saying it wasn't thier fault, grinned and smirked. I was told I could wait in the store, but after an hour of waiting, I contacted my doctor, had the prescription called in to Walgreens, and it was ready by the time I drove across the street. HEB then called me two days later saying it was ready - what a joke. My doctor said they have many complaints about the HEB pharmacy and to go elsewhere if possible. I'm surprised Rob Hall hasn't fixed this yet.

A more than adequate selection of food stuffs in addition to things I would not expect to see in a grocery store. Giving Wal- Mart a run for their money. Be sure and check out/ utilize the yellow coupons hanging along the shelves.

Ran into HEBs this morning to grab a Valentine's day gift for my mom. The store is hopping this morning with a DJ, an abundance of flower arrangements, and chocolate treats that were being made in a booth. Everything looked great and fresh.

Store is stocked pretty good! Clean, but always busy location! The check out clerk, Jessica, was really friendly and nice! She works fast and provides terrific customer service! Get more baggers! Give Jessica a spot award for her customer service skills, it is so refreshing to see a friendly and fast worker!!! 😁💯❗

It's good , but I can't believe and understand why stores don't carry road atlas maps . I know that everyone has google maps on their phones but yesterday I used it and it took me 10+ miles out of the way and that's not the first time that's happened and I'm tired of that and don't trust google maps anymore!!! This is how I feel about technology 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 HEB start carrying road atlas maps again DAMN IT !!!!

Man, what else can I say about this place except that I love it. I've been buying groceries at the Port Lavaca HEB since it was in the old location (where Beijing Buffet is now). Port Lavaca is pretty darned lucky to have such a great grocery store right in the heart of town. I have a huge nostalgia wave hit me every time I walk in here, and the staff always sees me out with all degrees of professionalism.

I've gotta tell y'all something... I'm not one to buy "store brand" food items. Not because I'm all hoity toity but because I usually don't like the way the stuff tastes. Now with prices going up, it seems, on a daily basis I've been saving a boatload of $ by using HEB's brand. One of my faves is their fruit on the bottom yogurt. Yummy!

Wow! Walked in and greeted by Theresa at the Valentine display. Friendly and sweet. The produce is packed. The bakery fresh. Prices are half of what I've seen in Florida or PA. There was a dj playing music! No empty shelves at this store. Makes me want to move to Texas!🏆🏆🥇🍇🍎🥑🍞🍌🥐

A very pleasant experience, no negatives at all. 2 of my friends are Directors at different locations for H.E.B. and they take pride in their stores because they have the best customer service from all aspects of the stores.Port Lavaca needs to be retrained.Alex(female) cashier has the worst customer service I have ever come across there. Don’t worry about the customers time when talking non-stop with the other employees. No greeting or care of customer needs.The manager with black hair working around 2pm came by and kept on and on as well. Didn’t acknowledge customer was waiting to be checked out.No worries. Won’t be back to that store ever.

I love H E B!I took a friend in there shopping this morning and he was riding on one of their battery operated carts. There was two employees ( separate times) that walk right across in front of him without even looking where they was going! He barely stopped in time without hitting them! I feel they, as employees should be more respectful of customers than what I seen them display this morning.

Not too big like Victoria, not too small like Edna. There are stuff here that I sometimes can't find at other heb stores. Never had a problem with the cashiers, always goes by fast partly bc as I am putting the stuff on the conveyor in order, frozen meat first, can goods, beauty supplies, snacks and finally the stuff that shouldn't be smashed like bread. Employees have always been friendly with me. Some have a nice conversation while they are scanning my items. The lines are only long at certain times, which I believe is when everyone gets out of work.

Shelves are not well stocked. Overall appearance is worn, old, not real clean. Only 2 cashiers during a time when customers are coming in. Had to wait in line longer than stores in Victoria. My cashier was helpful and pleasant. Had help getting to car and I did not have to load groceries. I am a disabled veteran, so I really appreciated the help.
