It truly is like a neighborhood get together every time I go into the store! Every single person that works there is so incredibly helpful, you can ask anybody in there about anything in there and they are also well schooled in every department. It makes my life so much easier considering I know pretty much nothing about anything that is related to electrical, plumbing, landscaping, nails, and tools, so I am thrilled with the staff there, tony, the manager is always there to help, what a great guy!

They allow customers with large dogs not on a leash or contained to run loose in the store and I was approached by two dogs that scared me probably cause they smelt my dogs on my clothes. I was really disappointed by the staff since I was scared they all just stood there did nothing. My husband had to stand between me and those dogs before the owner called for them. Just really disappointed with staff like they were afraid to say something probably they new who owned the dogs. Also there was about 6 ACE workers there just standing. I hope the owner reads this and feels bad. Shame on you.

This store is dishonest and liers. We had an emergency and spefically spoke to the store personnel. We were told they closed at 7pm but the manager confirmed they would wait for us to drive from another town. But like I said before the store manager and clero are liers.

They're most likely always going to have what you need and they give good advice and a helpful tips but the 32% of charge kills me and I'd rather just put the money in my tank and go to Lowe's in Victoria for prices like that I can just support my local businesses like Melchers

I really like Ace Hardware. The floor staff is ALWAYS helpful. The cashiers are ALWAYS cheerful. Who ever hires these guys is very good at their job because I always feel like my business is appreciated and respected.

Seems a little pricey. 100ft extension cord exact same one is 20$ at walmart at this ace is 35$ . I hate walmart but when it's that kind of price difference for same product it means I am going to walmart lol ( actually the one at walmart was for indoor/outdoor use and the one at ace was rated indoor )

I can always find what I need there, the staff always greets you and asks you if they can help you find something the minute you walk in . If you happen to walk in and there is no staff available the store is very well-marked and stuff is very easy to find . their prices are reasonable and I also got some great deals on Christmas lights on 75% clearance for next year. I try to get that stuff after Christmas when it's on sale but couldn't find lights everyone was already sold out . I happen to have to stop in there yesterday for my husband and they had a whole table of Christmas stuff for 75% off

They have a lot of inventory and if you can't find it anywhere else in town you will likely find it at ace. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Only downside is that they are not cheap and it will cost a bit more than you may initially expect buying through them.

Always good place to look if you can't find the parts that's how they stay in business with Lowe's and Home Depot's competitors hard to find parts are there always friendly service and always helpful although I did feel like they thought I was trying to rob the store the way somebody was shadowing me the whole experience

Always have what I need, but due to the fact there's only 2 hardware stores here, you can say that they're proud of their price. Most of the time I'd rather spend $40 in fuel and go to Victoria and I still save money!!

Ace Hardware is expensive. I went into the Ace is the Place Hardware in Port Lavaca, TX to purchase only one item (a lawn rake). The lawn rake cost a little over $17.00. I ended up spending over $120.00 on weed killer, a mouse hotel (like you might see on the outside of a restaurant or a hotel) & a couple mesh screens to put over my 55 gallon burn barrel. Ace had all of the stuff that I was in need of & much more. I feel sure that I will return to purchase more building supplies, etc. The Ace in Port Lavaca had two nice looking kayaks on display. I just sold my "Ocean Kayak" a couple months ago. I have had other kayaks & a canoe. These 2 kayaks were nice but probably cost more than I can afford. I have a awesome 2019 Mako skiff. I am in great shape.
