I like to shop local.I most of the time get what I need.Miss the previous staff of ladies..they were always on top of things and I could just show them what I wanted and they would get me fixed up.Younger staff/ high school kids don't have the experience yet with the supplies so have to wait for a man to assist.( I've cut down on projects)It takes a little longer but local shopping is what I prefer.

Great store. Kept clean and tidy. Almost always has all items in stock. Associates are friendly and helpful; they go the extra mile to help you with finding things, price checks, or adding you in their various departments and services.

Watch the prices in there. Was in the other day and picked up a can of compressed air for blowing off the computer keyboard. The price on the shelf showed it to be $7.99. When I got to the register they said $9.99. I showed them the price on the shelf and they said that was the old price and they had to go by what ever was in the computer. So beware, what you think you are paying may not be what you pay when you get to the register. And no, I did not buy it. Any other store would have sold it for the marked price since the error was their fault.

As soon I walked in I was greeted by several employees. Stopped by on Oct 07 in the late morning and was helped trying to find some drill bits. Excellent experience all the way around.

Went online to verify that they had black mulch in stock and it said I could pick it up today. Went to the stock 10 minutes before closing and couldn't find it so Went to the front and they girl said they had already closed the yard. I won't be back.

Whether you call on the phone or show up in person, the staff here is amazingly attentive, friendly and helpful. I drove all the way out here from Frisco because this ACE is the only place that will help me get the job done. I’m thankful to all the people who work here, answered my questions and got me the supplies and guidance that I needed, especially Don.

Horrible customer service. I stood at the register for 20 mins waiting to ask if something was in stock while the stuck up cashier talked to her friend about kids soccer. Once I finally was able to break into their convo, she was just able to get a subtle head shake out. Poor thing, must be exhausted after all of the “Custer service”she provides. Every Ace experience I’ve had is great, minus the Pilot Point one. This store just kills the good reputation ace has.

I love Ms. Carroll!!!! I needed a specific part to fix my A/C and Ace in Pilot Point was the only store around me that had it in stock. Although she wasn't an expert, I told her the specs I needed and she pulled the part and had it waiting for me at the counter. Everyone in the store treated me with so much courtesy and respect. I'm from a small town in TX and this gave me all the nostalgic chills. I left the store in such a good mood, I wanted to call my mom! I'm looking forward to the next DIY fix or project.

Very nice on the phone, very nice in person, the store was great we needed some pvc parts and was ok with cutting to length only problem i could see is that maybe if you have a cat allergy they do have a store/ shop cat but is very friendly so that is a plus if we are working in the area again ill try this place first before thinking about going all the way to home depotParking: Its a lil cramped because it shares parking with the strip shops next to it and its right behind the sonic may have to go through sonic to get to it if entrance is clogged

I was looking for a particular tool that I could not find in other places. This store had it. My wife found holiday items on sale and some home items too. I rarely shop here because of the driving distance but I do comparison shopping with regard to cost and availability. For being a small business it has a large variety of goods.

Almost every item I purchased rang up higher than the price on the shelf, higher than what I was told in the store and higher than the published internet price for that item at that location. (I had looked up prices on their website that weren't marked). At checkout I noticed I was being overcharged. I asked to see the screen and the individual prices. The first item was $3 higher than the internet price for that location. The 2nd item was higher, too.. when I wanted the 3rd and 4th items to reflect the posted prices the cashier deferred to a lady sitting behind the counter. "I already corrected one price." was the response I got when a 4th item on my ticket rang up higher. There was about an $8 difference in my arm load of items. The cashier was directed to not correct anymore prices. I was told that they had x-thousand price changes that just weren't updated on the shelves, yet, due to staffing shortages. One item was yellowing with age from sitting for so long. They wanted $2 more than the shelf price of $5.99. I almost put it back so it could sit a few more years.For the few dollars difference it burned me as a customer to talk to me like I was being rude to expect up front, credible pricing when I shop there. The frustration should not have been directed at me. It should have been apologetic, not confrontational or aggressive.Most of the staff is amazing and helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and very busy. Normally it's a great store. I was in there 3 times in 5 days. I had to return an item and was worried that "she" would be there and would be aggressive and confrontational again. I was relieved when she wasn't.Sorry, y'all. That was just my experience. I shouldn't have to stand my ground at the cash register against anyone at the store. Y'all work that out internally. Don't take it out on me.I was told there were "signs all over the store" explaining their price inconsistencies. I never saw one. The front door and the cashier's sneeze guard would be the place to post ANTICIPATE PRICE DISCREPENCIES.I think the person that was so offended was a manager, maybe. Prices not being updated or posted at all is a management problem, not a customer problem. It's a shame that one person stands out more than all the rest of the hardworking staff at that location.

It's frustrating to have nothing priced in the store! Even items that are priced have a sign that say the price might be different at the register. With as many staff standing around you would think you could find assistance in the store to help with all the unmarked items. You never know what you are being charged until they decide the price at the register. No thanks.

The friendly small-town hardware store atmosphere is an experience hard to find these days, but Pilot Point Ace has it. You can't leave the store before visiting with the lovable store kitty though, it's only proper!

Do not expect anything to ring up at the same price that it is marked on the shelf. The first time this happened, the girl had to stop chewing her snack long enough to explain to me they did not have time to change all the price tags during all the price changes. Although there were seven people in the store, three appeared to be teenagers chasing each other. Numerous trips back up there, three out of four things ring up wrong. They reference a sign on the door, with attitude, saying that there have been price increases. They must get that a lot. Overall, too lazy and bad attitude to change the prices on the shelf.

It's the hardware store closest to me and have been there a few times. Every time I have been there the workers have always been nice and helpful. They have paint, tools, and many more things. Basically anything you need or can find at the big box stores.

Good selection. Decent prices. Courteous employees. All employees wear masks. None of them cover their faces with them. They all leave their noses exposed. Not sure what the point in having them on is.

Looked for difficult to find LED light. Didn't find anywhere in Lowe's or Home Depot. But Ace has it! Nice organized store with a curated collection for specific items. Recommended.

Call before you drive to get anything. Their hours listed are not what is on the web. They close when they want to. Got here at 5:40PM and already closed. Employees were in front of the store just hanging out.
