The physical inside of the store is clean. But what is going on with the fish and why are they not being cleaned and attended to? In this tank there were 10 dead fish from the front and a few others behind the rock. A few other tanks had the same scene of dead fish (and shrimp) on the bottom or stuck to the filters. The tanks were filthy and looks neglected. Staff has to be aware because I did see one person look over at a nearby tank and then just walk away. I quickly left after a few minutes after seeing this since it didn’t sit well with me.

Incredibly rude person at the grooming department. We were 3 minutes late and were denied service(appointment was at 4:15pm and we got there at 4:16 by the time we made it to the counter it was 4:18. I can understand being denied service for being late but the lady was rude . We were greeted by being asked “do you call?” No hello, no nothing. There’s no need to be rude when trying to get a message across.

The manager, Alex, went above and beyond helping to load my rewards so I could use them today. I was having problems with my phone so she offered to call customer service to work it out. She was so friendly & provided amazing customer service!

Antonio gave me horrible customer service. I repeatedly asked for him to check if another location has a certain dog food brand that they were sold out of. He sat there scrolling on his phone. I asked again and he just kept scrolling on his phone saying sorry. Eventually after 20 minutes of him scrolling on his phone, I said never mind. He goes “sorry I’m not good at this”. Completely unacceptable

Staff is always very welcoming and polite, always tend to find the things I need for the Doggos there. Haven't used the washing/grooming facilities yet but I hear good things about how clean and affordable/convenient they are. Definitely a good addition to this area!

Drove all the way to the Plano location for grooming services because the closest Petco locations by my apartment had nightmarish reviews. My dog is extremely fussy/irate when it comes to nail-trimming and the grooming team there handled it with such grace. They were kind, patient, and informative throughout the process, giving me helpful tips on suppressing his anxiety. I learned a lot from this experience, even though it was quite an uncomfortable one for all parties involved, but I will have to commend this location's grooming team for excellent customer service

We purchased a hamster and unfortunately had a negative experience with the poor guy 4 days later when we found him deceased. I went back to Petco Richardson and Michelle was so great and understanding. You could tell she would go the extra mile to help make our small kids not even notice. She had some ideas and even volunteered to play along if we wanted to bring the boys in and play the "farm" card to help their loss. Her involvement made the whole situation 110% better. What an absolutely wonderful human being! ...yes they also provided a refund.

Plano location is back!! In a new location and while I only visited once so far, sadly I didn't see any of the former staff. . .they were great, especially the manager. Hoping to see familiar faces soon!We visited the week the store opened and while we found service lacking, I seriously doubt it will remain that way . . . We love Petco and appreciate the associates, the great location and in general (and usually) the great service. Welcome back to Plano!!
